Chapter 826: Chapter 826: Why Are There Won’s Shoes?
The office door was pushed open, and Xu Kun entered with a few docunts. He walked up to the desk, placed the docunts on it, and then said, "My car is restricted from driving today, how about we go together after work?"
Mo Han didn’t even lift his head, his hands continued typing away on the keyboard. After a while, he finally replied, "Got it. Help
take these docunts to Rui." With that, he took several files from his desk and handed them over.
Xu Kun reached out to take them, and without further ado, he left the office.
There was a eting in the afternoon starting at one o’clock. Due to so disagreents, it lasted over three hours without finding a suitable solution. The entire eting room felt a bit fatigued, so Beichen Rui had no choice but to interrupt the eting, taking a ten-minute break before continuing.
About ten minutes later, they resud their previous discussions, and it wasn’t until ten minutes before quitting ti that the eting finally ended.
Mo Han rubbed his sore neck, tossed the docunts onto the desk, leaned back in his chair, and closed his eyes to rest. When it was ti to leave work, he picked up his car keys and suit jacket, and headed out of the office.
He drove the car to the company entrance, and after waiting for around ten minutes, Xu Kun finally ca down, opened the passenger door, and was just about to get in when he caught sight of a bag on the back seat out of the corner of his eye.
He paused and went to the back door, opened it, and took a look at the bag. After a few seconds, he spoke in a surprised tone, "Why are there won’s shoes in your car?"
Glancing through the rear-view mirror, he suddenly rembered that the shoes were prepared for Qin Yin earlier. Afraid they might get dirty if left out, he had put them in a bag and left them in the back seat, forgetting to move them to the trunk.
There was no panic on his face as he ignored Xu Kun’s exaggerated reaction. He calmly redirected his gaze and casually said, "They’re my cousin’s. Maybe she forgot to take them."
He placed the bag back on the seat, closed the rear door, got into the passenger seat, and once he was buckled up, Mo Han started the car and drove off. As the car hit the road, Xu Kun, unable to contain his curiosity, asked, "Why does your cousin always co by? When will you let us hang out with her?"
Mo Han turned his head, gave him a sideways glance, then turned back, eyes on the road. After a few seconds, he spoke, "Better not."
He had only said that to mislead him. If the cousin actually ca over, he’d risk getting caught. Besides, she was too busy with work to co around here often.
Yet he couldn’t let Xu Kun spot any inconsistencies, so he added, "My cousin’s been busy with work lately, she probably doesn’t have ti."
Xu Kun: "Your cousin is only two years younger than you and already has a boyfriend, while you don’t even have a girlfriend. Aren’t you embarrassed? Honestly, you’re not getting any younger, you should find soone to take care of you, or you’ll end up an old bachelor."
"Mind your own business first. You’re older than
and you still don’t have a girlfriend either."
He was about to retort, "I’m only three days older than you," but then he rembered he had previously teased him about that, so he reluctantly closed his mouth. Looking out the window, he waited until he was sure the topic was dropped before suggesting, "Let’s go to your place for a drink. Bring out your collection of wine, or they’ll go moldy if you keep them any longer."
