It’s obvious that Beichen Rui doesn’t want to take her ho; the excuse of it being out of the way is just that, an excuse. Having mingled in the upper circles for so many years, Jiang Shihan can still read between the lines.

So she smiled and said, "Grandpa Bei Chen, I’ll co to see you next ti I have ti. It’s a bit late today; you should rest early." After speaking, she picked up her bag and was about to walk out.

Seeing her insist on leaving, the old man didn’t stop her much, "Shihan, I’ll have the driver send you back. Co and keep this old man company next ti when you have the ti."

Jiang Shihan smiled and said, "Alright, I’ll co to see you whenever I have ti. Goodbye, Grandpa Bei Chen."

Jiang Shihan walked out of the Beichen family’s old residence with her bag and was driven ho by the Beichen family’s chauffeur.

Ye Xinluo and the other two had finished their al, tidied the house, and went to bed early. They had only rested for a short while in the afternoon before getting up to cook dinner, so they were indeed a bit tired now.

Beichen Rui sat in a private booth on the second floor, watching the people dancing freely in the dance floor. Normally, he wouldn’t want to co to such places, but today, with Jiang Shihan at his house, he didn’t want to stay ho.

Mo Han, sitting next to him, watched him. When he called him earlier today, he thought for sure he wouldn’t co, so he had gathered so brothers to co and have fun. Unexpectedly, Beichen Rui really showed up half an hour later.

"Boss, how co you have ti to hang out today?" Mo Han curiously asked.

Beichen Rui picked up a glass of wine from the table, tilted his head back, and drank it. Then he turned to Mo Han and asked, "Do you have a problem with that?"

Mo Han quickly waved his hand, "No problem, no problem."

Joking aside, he wouldn’t dare have an issue with the boss, unless he had a death wish.

Quickly changing the subject, he said, "Boss, you still haven’t told

why you stayed so long in Hai City this ti before coming back."

Beichen Rui didn’t answer his question but picked up another glass of wine from the table and drank it in one gulp. He couldn’t figure it out himself, so how could he explain it to Mo Han?

Seeing that he didn’t respond, Mo Han thought of a possibility and tentatively asked, "Boss, have you taken a liking to her?"

Upon hearing this, Beichen Rui stopped his drink in mid-air and asked sowhat puzzled, "Her?"

"Yeah, Assistant Ye. Have you taken a liking to her?" Beichen Rui’s recent behavior was too suspicious, making it impossible not to think along those lines.

First, he didn’t let

follow him on the business trip, instead bringing along Assistant Ye, who had just joined the company. Once there, he didn’t give her any work, and most importantly, he stayed in Hai City to hang out with Assistant Ye when he should have returned two days ago.

Everything points in one direction: the boss is quite possibly interested in Assistant Ye.....

Interested? Beichen Rui asked himself inwardly.

His thoughts drifted back to a night a few years ago.

He was playing in a KTV with a few friends when, midway, Beichen Rui went to the restroom. As he was leaving the restroom, he felt a weight on his body, followed by the subtle scent of lavender filling his nostrils.

At the sa ti, there was suddenly a woman in his arms, a woman who was drunk.

Instinctively, he wanted to push her away, but when he saw the woman’s face, his hand stopped.
