Chapter 58: Chapter 58: Who Let You In?

Thinking of this, she felt a bit wronged in her heart.

On usual days, who wouldn’t want to curry favor with her and go out of their way to please her? Except for this man in front of her.

This man in front of her was different from others; he was utterly indifferent to her, acting as if she were invisible.

Yet, the colder he was towards her, the more Jiang Shihan felt the charm of this man.

From the mont she first laid eyes on him, she had unhesitatingly fallen for him. And she had liked him for many years.

She was a noble daughter, unable to easily express her feelings. Therefore, she used the relationship between the Beichen Family and the Jiang Family to stay by his side.

She even frequently visited the Beichen Family to accompany the old master just to catch a glimpse of him.

But no matter what she did, this man always remained indifferent towards her, treating her as if she didn’t exist.

Thinking about it, although she felt a bit uneasy inside, she did not show it on her face. As a young lady of high society, she couldn’t display too obvious emotions.

She curled her lips into a smile, revealing a standard smile, "Rui, you must be very tired from your business trip this ti. Why don’t you go up and rest first? I’ll make so soup for you, okay?"

In the past when she ca here, she often went into the kitchen herself to make soup for Old Master Bei Chen.

She naturally stood up and walked towards the kitchen. Just halfway there, Beichen Rui’s voice sounded from behind her. "No need. Miss Jiang is a guest; how can we let a guest cook? Let’s not trouble Miss Jiang."

Watching Jiang Shihan’s retreating figure, he furrowed his brows; he never liked when people took the liberty to ddle.

Jiang Shihan stopped in her tracks upon hearing his words, unable to take another step forward.

He addressed her as Miss Jiang, which left a bitter taste in Jiang Shihan’s heart.

How could she not understand, he was treating her as an outsider. Her heart ached terribly, and she clenched her hands into fists, trying hard to control her emotions.

She thought she had gotten used to his indifference after being ignored so many tis. Yet, a single sentence from him defeated her.

She turned around stiffly, forcing a smile as she spoke, "How could it be a bother? If you all like it, I won’t find it troubleso at all."

Beichen Rui stared at her for a long ti, then stood up and prepared to head upstairs. As he passed by Jiang Shihan, he stopped.

A pungent perfu scent filled his nostrils, making Beichen Rui uncomfortable, and he furrowed his brows tightly.

Why do these won love to wear so much perfu? It’s horribly unpleasant. Ye Xinluo’s scent is much better.

Damn it. Why am I thinking about that woman again? Realizing his thoughts had wandered, he cursed inwardly.

Coming back to his senses, he adjusted his emotions, glanced at her profile, and coldly said, "Regardless of who brought Miss Jiang here, since you’re here, you’re a guest."

He looked nonchalantly in the direction of the second floor.

"I just got back from a business trip and I’m a bit tired, so let my grandfather entertain you," he said, then walked towards the second floor without looking back.

Shortly after, the sound of a door closing ca from the second floor. Jiang Shihan stood there for a long ti before she finally looked up.

How could this man be so cold? She lowered her head, hiding the turbulent emotions in her eyes.

The man she had loved for so many years had never understood her from the start, and he never gave her a chance to understand him.

Beichen Jue erged from the shadows, stood at the corner, looked at Beichen Rui’s room door, and then at Jiang Shihan standing in the living room.

He let out a deep sigh.
