"Why?" Ye Xinluo asked puzzled.
"Because..." Suddenly thinking of sothing, Beichen Rui lowered his gaze, exuding a low mood all over.
Seeing his mood was off, Ye Xinluo didn’t ask more and just sat quietly on the side.
After a long ti, the doctor ca in to check on the patients. First checking Beichen Rui’s injuries, then taking his temperature.
"Doctor, how is his condition now?" Ye Xinluo looked at the doctor and asked.
"Young Master Chen’s fever has subsided and there’s no major issue. If he doesn’t want to stay in the hospital, he can be discharged to recover at ho. Just need to change the dressing regularly."
Hearing this, Ye Xinluo nodded.
At eight in the evening, Beichen Rui was discharged and returned to his villa. As the Bentley stopped at the door, Ye Xinluo didn’t get out of the car but said to Beichen Rui, "I’ll co by tomorrow, you should rest early."
Turning her head, she looked at Jingxi, "Will you stay with daddy or with mommy tonight?"
The little one tilted his head and thought for a while, "I want to be with mommy."
"Stay here tonight, it’s late," Beichen Rui suddenly said.
"This isn’t appropriate! I’ll co over tomorrow." ...It was one thing to stay together in H city, but now being back, living in the sa house might not be good if word got out.
Hearing her words, Beichen Rui didn’t stop them. He glanced at Housekeeper Lin, "You take Miss Ye and Jingxi ho."

Jingxi: "Mommy, why don’t we stay here for the night, and leave tomorrow? It’s a long way from here to get a taxi."

Ye Xinluo and Jingxi watched TV in the living room for a while before getting up to go to the bedroom on the second floor... planning to share a room with Jingxi tonight.

The lighting was dim, only a bedside lamp was on. At this mont, Beichen Rui was sitting on the floor, holding his left hand with a very uncomfortable expression.
Putting Jingxi down, she walked over to help him up onto the sofa, a bit worried she asked, "What happened?"
"Nothing, I was sleeping on the sofa and accidentally pressed on the wound. Tried to move but then..."

Jingxi ca over to Beichen Rui, stretched out his little hand, and started to unbutton his clothes.
Beichen Rui was stunned, "What are you doing?"
The little one didn’t reply and continued unbuttoning his clothes.
