Ye Xinluo entered Lan Shan’s room and imdiately noticed soone standing beside her. A closer look revealed it was Lan Shan.
She patted her chest. "Shanshan, what are you doing standing here?"
Lan Shan didn’t reply, she just sized her up from head to toe.
"What are you looking at?" Ye Xinluo asked, puzzled.
"There’s sothing fishy going on." Lan Shan said seriously.
"Huh?"
Ye Xinluo’s heart skipped a beat, worried she might have noticed sothing.
Lan Shan circled around Ye Xinluo a few tis, then nodded and said, "You sll like n’s cologne. Tell , what were you doing with the boss?"
Ye Xinluo: "..."
Why does it feel like I’m being caught in the act? Am I overthinking this?
"N-no, nothing happened!"
She couldn’t help but break out in a cold sweat; since when did Shanshan beco so nosy?
"Really?" Lan Shan squinted slightly, "Then why is your face so red?"
"Is it... is it really?"
"Yeah." She nodded her head emphatically twice.
"I just saw the boss helping you blow dry your hair." Lan Shan suddenly said.
Ye Xinluo froze, "You saw everything?"
"Is there anything I didn’t see? Ye Xinluo, you’re acting strange."
"No, nothing. Maybe my face is red because the hairdryer was too hot, and the boss helping
blow dry my hair, having a scent of n’s cologne makes sense." Ye Xinluo explained awkwardly.
Lan Shan thought about it and found this explanation quite plausible, so she let the topic go.
Seeing she dropped it, Ye Xinluo breathed a sigh of relief, "It’s so late, why aren’t you resting?"
"I’m hungry." Lan Shan scratched her head sheepishly; she hadn’t eaten much dinner, so she was hungry soon after.
Ye Xinluo smiled, "Alright, let’s get you sothing to eat first."
"Okay."
The two of them left the room together. Beichen Rui was no longer in the living room; Ye Xinluo assud he had gone back to his room and didn’t think much of it.
They went to the kitchen and reheated the food that was left in the microwave.
Lan Shan sat on the chair and noticed a quilt on the sofa, she asked curiously, "Xinluo, why is there a blanket and pillow on the sofa?"
"Oh, I brought those for the boss. He planned to sleep on the sofa."
Lan Shan: "Where’s the boss then?"
"I asked him to go sleep with Jingxi just now, so he probably went back to his room!"
"Oh, I see..."

After the food was reheated, she brought it out and handed it to Lan Shan.
Lan Shan ate while saying, "So, are you sleeping with
tonight?"
"Yeah." Ye Xinluo nodded.
"You might have to put up with so inconvenience tonight then."
Hearing this, Ye Xinluo frowned, "Why?"
Lan Shan swallowed the food in her mouth before speaking, "I need to stay up late tonight to look into the Gong Group’s data in advance, so you’ll have to bear with the light being on while you sleep."
Since Beichen Rui assigned her this task, she had to give it her all no matter the outco, right?
Checking the data first was essential.
Ye Xinluo smiled, "I’ll help you later."
"Really? That’s great." Lan Shan bead with joy, showing a sweet smile.
"Take your ti eating, no one’s going to snatch it from you." She poured a glass of water and handed it to her.
"Thanks."
After eating, Ye Xinluo tidied up the kitchen, then went back to the room with Lan Shan.
Ye Xinluo brought out her computer, and the two of them divided the work, starting to research online.
