Chapter 169: Chapter 169: It Feels Like a Breakup

"Why?" Mo Han asked, puzzled. A girl like Lan Shan should have many suitors.

Lan Shan lowered her eyes, smiled and said, "Maybe I just haven’t t the right person. By the way, Assistant Mo, what about you? Do you have soone you like?"

"Yes." Mo Han answered honestly.

Hearing his answer, Lan Shan beca interested and asked, "Who is it? To win Assistant Mo’s affection, she must be a good girl."

"She is indeed a good girl." Mo Han smiled and said.

"Oh co on, don’t keep us in suspense. How far have you two gone? Are you boyfriend and girlfriend?" Lan Shan asked with a gossiping face.

Mo Han chuckled, "I think I’ve been rejected."

"Huh?" Lan Shan asked, puzzled, "Did she reject you?"

Judging by his despondent deanor, she figured she was right. So she smiled and comforted him, "Don’t lose heart, you’ll et soone better in the future."

"I haven’t confessed to her yet."

Lan Shan: "......"

This is a bit too much of a cliffhanger...

"No way, Assistant Mo, if you haven’t even confessed, how do you know if she’ll reject you? What if she sees your rits and decides to be with you?"

"I saw her with soone else." Mo Han replied, lowering his eyes.

Uh...this...

Lan Shan awkwardly smiled, patted his shoulder and said, "There are plenty of good girls in the world, why fixate on just one?"

"Do you think this counts as being rejected?"

Lan Shan thought for a mont before speaking, "I don’t think so. You didn’t even confess, at most it’s just unrequited love."

She picked up her water cup and took a sip.

"I think so too, but still, how could Xinluo like Rui?" Mo Han couldn’t understand how two seemingly unrelated people could end up together.

Lan Shan paused in her drinking, was caught off guard, coughed a couple of tis, her face turning bright red.

Seeing her choking, he quickly handed her two tissues and said irritably, "Why are you more excited than ?"

She couldn’t help but roll her eyes, thinking that she was just comforting herself earlier, but now, why was she so excited?

After a long while, when she felt a bit better, she turned and looked at him incredulously, "Assistant Mo, could you have made a mistake?"

Xinluo with the CEO? How is that possible?

"I also think I must have gotten it wrong." Mo Han said irritably.

"Wait, the person you like is Xinluo?" Almost discovering a new world, she was on the verge of screaming.

"Can you keep your voice down? If others find out, I won’t let you off." Mo Han feigned anger and threatened.

Lan Shan laughed, saying, "I just didn’t expect you to like Xinluo, but I promise you, you must be mistaken. Xinluo and the CEO are absolutely not possible."

"Really?" Mo Han gave her a sideways glance. He also found it hard to believe, but the facts were right in front of him. "I just saw Xinluo sitting in Rui’s lap, how do you explain that?"

Lan Shan: "..."

"Are you joking with ?" She was a bit skeptical about the disbelief of his words.

"Would I joke about sothing like this?" Mo Han put his hand to his forehead, was that how lacking he was in people’s eyes, that he would make a joke of sothing like this?

Feeling awkward, she coughed twice, organized her thoughts, and then said, "Assistant Mo, you sit here first, I have sothing to do, I have to go."

After saying this, she picked up her water and left without looking back.

Watching her leave, Mo Han smiled and continued to sit there, lost in thought.

If he wasn’t mistaken, Lan Shan was probably going to find Ye Xinluo.

He couldn’t quite figure it out, just a while ago Rui clearly said he wouldn’t be interested in Assistant Ye, so how co now...

Looks like he’ll need to find a ti to talk with him.
