Chapter 237: Chapter 234: Forced into Love (Second Update)

The next day was Christmas, but for the university students it was no different from any other day; they couldn’t skip even a single class.

Girls from room 303 got up early and went to the dining hall. While peeling an egg, Mu Jiawen looked up and asked Sha Yali, “Why do you keep looking at ?”

Sha Yali put down her chopsticks, “Jiajia, do you rember what you did last night?”

The other two turned their heads with faces that were both curious and struggling to hold back laughter.

Mu Jiawen was puzzled, “I slept, what else could I have done?”

“What about before you went to sleep?”

“I brushed my teeth and washed up.”

“And before that?”

Mu Jiawen stuffed the egg in her mouth, chewed, and swallowed before mumbling unclearly, “What exactly are you trying to say?”

“Do you rember the dinner party we had last night?”

“Duh.”

“Do you rember the words you told

to say to Ding Yilu for our date after the party ended?”

Mu Jiawen looked up, surprised, “You went on a date with Ding Yilu last night? That was fast.” Weren’t you saying before that you were going to wait until after the winter break to decide whether to give it a try? How could you be so certain after just one al?

The three people beside her were dumbfounded upon hearing this: it turned out she really was drunk the night before, not only drunk but also suffering from mory loss.

Realizing what she said, Mu Jiawen blinked and thought carefully. She discovered her mory stopped midway through the al. Before that, Ding Yilu poured her three drinks, and after that, it was a blank; she couldn’t rember a thing.

How… could this be?

Her bewildered look made Sha Yali decide to forgive her, but she still gritted her teeth, “Advising soone on dating and sharing the feelings of a kiss, you’re really sothing else. Tell , Mu Jiawen, can I share what you said last night with Jiang Yan?”

The feeling of a kiss?

Mu Jiawen was horrified, “I… what exactly did I say?”

Ding Yuanyuan coughed lightly, mimicking her earnest posture, and patted Liang Yujun on the shoulder, “Yali, you should be careful when kissing on a date, don’t let it last too long, or you’ll start to feel numb in the mouth… Hahaha…”

Having said that, Ding Yuanyuan wrapped her arms around Liang Yujun, laughing.

Mu Jiawen felt like she had been struck by lightning!

The laughter and teasing went on for a while before they finished. On their way from the dining hall to the classroom, Ding Yuanyuan held onto Mu Jiawen’s arm, curious, “How long does kissing need to last before your mouth goes numb?”

Mu Jiawen was expressionless and ignored her completely.

Next to them, Sha Yali rembered Ding Yilu’s behavior afterward and wore a speechless expression.

All because of Jiajia, that guy seed to be inspired by her and actually tried to kiss her last night.

His brain must’ve been flooded! How could it happen so fast?

She hadn’t even confird the nature of their relationship yet. How could they move on to kissing?

Sha Yali got so angry that she kicked him and ran back to the dormitory.

But after that kick, there seed to be a slight change in their relationship; it felt less stiff and distant than before.

At least Ding Yilu wasn’t the slightest bit angry after being kicked. In fact, he kept texting her all of last night and even asked if she wanted him to buy breakfast for her this morning.

His tone sounded as though they had already confird their relationship.

So was she now being forced into a relationship by Jiajia?

Sigh…

This is nothing like what she imagined being in love would feel like.

Not long after Christmas was New Year’s Day, and the girls’ dormitory, room 301, has been very lively lately with the sounds of a violin and flute heard every night without fail.

It left people feeling dizzy and overwheld.

“I heard that Xia Shi perford a violin solo, and their dorm’s Hao Tong played the flute. The two of them, one playing and one blowing, it was like a challenge, and they almost ca to blows,” said Ding Yuanyuan gossiping, while Mu Jiawen had just finished drawing the last of the twelve zodiac animals, the pig.

Tomorrow she could take it to her mother’s gallery to have it mounted on a scroll.

Although it was for free, the traditional decorations and ceremony for a Chinese painting must not be omitted.

She had zero interest in Xia Shi; they were currently in a state of ‘the well water does not interfere with the river water’ – mutually ignoring each other.

She thought that was quite good.

Therefore, upon hearing Ding Yuanyuan, she showed no reaction and picked up the martial arts novel she hadn’t finished and continued reading.

It wasn’t until the noise from outside that Ding Yuanyuan went out to see what all the fuss was about.

Then she ca rushing back shortly after, excitedly saying that Xia Shi and Hao Tong had started fighting, that Xia Shi’s violin, said to be worth a hundred thousand yuan, was smashed to pieces by Hao Tong on the spot. Xia Shi was furious, and the two fought fiercely until the dormitory supervisor arrived and separated them.

“Fighting in the dorm? Really?” said Liang Yujun, stunned. This was Beijing University, where punishnts for fighting on campus were severe.

“Exactly, surely the dorm supervisor will call their respective advisors,” Ding Yuanyuan said.

But before long, Mu Jiawen received a phone call from Tang An.

After hanging up, she sighed before Liang Yujun asked, “Did your Teacher Tang ask you to co over?”

Mu Jiawen nodded reluctantly, “He wants

there to understand the situation and to prevent any accidents, since Xia Shi is a girl after all. If I’m there, I could also help out a bit.”

Sha Yali complained, “He knows the kind of relationship you have with Xia Shi, what’s he insinuating?”

As Mu Jiawen dressed and put on her coat, she said, “He can’t help it. Our class has only two girls so he has no choice but to ask for my help. But don’t worry, Xue Weisong ca with him, so if anything really happens to Xia Shi, he can step in.”

Being the class president cos with such responsibilities.

When Mu Jiawen left the dormitory, Tang An, Xue Weisong, and Hao Tong’s advisor, Mr. Liu, followed closely behind the dormitory supervisor as they just arrived on the third floor.

Inside Room 301, the other two girls in the dorm were busy tidying up the ss.

Xia Shi’s short, ear-length hair was a chaotic ss on her head, a scratch mark on her left cheek was oozing beads of blood, and there was a prominent red mark near her right eye. But at that mont, she wasn’t concerned about these injuries, only cradling her violin sadly as tears stread down her face.

The girl standing diagonally opposite her looked even more disheveled, her long hair unkempt, one side of her cheek swollen, and three scratch marks on her neck bleeding profusely. Yet her expression was calr than Xia Shi’s, leaning against her bed, head slightly bowed, lost in thought.

When they heard footsteps approaching, the girl quickly pinched her leg hard, and soon tears were streaming down her face from the pain.

Upon entering the dorm, Tang An and Mr. Liu first checked on their respective students, but there wasn’t much to see – it was just a typical girls’ fight with hair pulling and face scratching, nothing innovative.

Both frowned and began reprimanding them, then asked about the cause and origin of the incident.

“Teacher Tang, I admit I was the first one to throw a punch, but she started smashing my violin first… It was a gift from my grandfather, and it’s internally valued at a hundred thousand yuan. No matter what, she has to compensate!” Xia Shi said as she again broke down crying, hugging her violin, “I’ve had this violin since I was twelve, and it has been with

for seven years now, sob sob…”

Mr. Liu’s heart sank; a hundred thousand yuan was not a small sum. He glared at Hao Tong, who was silent, before pulling Tang An aside to speak privately outside.
