Chapter 1689: Finally leaving

After returning to the inn, Yu Dong had a light dinner with her family. As she washed her hands and stepped out of the restroom, she ran into Madam Kong.

Master Xiao hadn't returned from the yan, and no one knew when he was going to return or whether he did return, and never ca back ho.

She glanced at Madam Kong's ugly expression and knew that the woman was not in a good mood.

Of course, Yu Dong didn't dare to question what was wrong with Madam Kong as she already knew that the woman was still brooding over the fact that her family was now entangled with the mbers of the dark sect.

"I am really sorry for all the trouble," said Madam Kong as soon as Yu Dong ca to a stop in front of her. "I never knew that turning a blind eye to the antics of my husband would lead to so much trouble."

"I believe that the trouble will not end just here. Since my inn was targeted once already, I think I need to close it for a few months. I will go to my parents' house with my children and husbands. You too should go back as soon as possible and hide, who knows when that woman's accomplices will attack you? It's better to stay low in case they retaliate."

She didn't dare to make Yu Dong stay with her anymore, the poor woman hadn't had a day's rest since she ca to her inn. The last ti she stopped, her brother was picked by human traffickers. This ti she ca to stay the night and ended up staying for four days because of her husband and children once again.

Yu Dong nodded, "I see, we will go back tomorrow morning then."

Of course, she understood that Madam Kong was embarrassed because of the last few incidents and the trouble her family had brought her and her family.

In fact, after dealing with one trouble, after another, Yu Dong also wanted Madam Kong and her family to stop pestering her, who knows whether she owed sothing to Madam Kong in her past life or whether there was another reason but seriously she had enough of this drama.

So instead of blaming Madam Kong in case she insisted on repaying her, Yu Dong generously said to her, "Don't take this matter to heart. I know that you were not at fault, there is no way either I or my family will bla you. So let's forget it."

Madam Kong heaved a sigh of relief. She was really worried that Yu Dong would bla her and end the contract, fortunately, Yu Dong was not that unreasonable.

If she had ended the contract then their family would have suffered a great loss.

The next day, the Yu family left the Kong family inn as they did not want to stay in the inn any longer than necessary. What if they wasted another second and Master Xiao ca to find trouble with them?

Madam Kong too took her husbands and children to her parents' house. This ti the matter was too big, Master Xiao was a r but he was detained by the officers as the case was really tricky.

Master Xiao was still locked up in the Yan which was why she was not worried but in case that r was to co out and cause trouble again, what was she going to do?

That r was simply an idiot when it ca to his sisters. Who knows if his sisters or soone else threatened him, and asked him to harm Madam Kong's family —that r might just do it.

As long as it could bring his sisters out of the prison, that r would do anything.

It was better to live at her parents' house, even though her daddy was a tad bit more inclined towards Master Xiao, he was not unreasonable to the point where he would let Master Xiao run amok.

Madam Kong went straight to her parents, her mother was once a Yan officer and had done a lot of ritorious services which was why she had a lot of connections, her daddy was from a simple background.

As he saved the life of Old Madam Kong when they were young, her mother fell for Old Master Xiao in one glance.

The second she stepped inside the house, however, Madam Kong realised that there was sothing wrong. For so reason, the entire house seed tensed and worried.

Madam Kong had a hunch, she shared a look with Guo Zian who shot her an encouraging glance at her. The two of them along with the children walked inside the house, and no sooner did she enter the main hall, than she saw her mother sitting there with a livid expression.

Her daddy was crying on the chair next to her but one thing was the sa —both of them were furious.

Madam Kong: !!!

She was done for, there was no way she was going to get out of this one.

"Mother…?"

Sure enough, as soon as Old Madam Kong heard her voice, she turned to look at Madam Kong with an enraged expression.

"Oooh, so you do know that I am your mother?" Old Madam Kong snarled angrily. "I thought that you forgot that your dear mother was alive. Did you think that I would not find the truth? Why did you leave that r to stay close to your daughters, when you knew what kind of person he was?"

"That r is so selfish and stupid! What if he had done sothing to your daughters? You fool! You are lucky that your daughters are with you. At this rate, you would have lost both of them."

"Thankfully, the heavens took pity on you and sent soone to help you or else—I fear to think what might have happened to you."

Madam Kong felt guilty when she was scolded, she quickly entered the hall, with her daughters, "Mother, did soone already tell you?"
