Chapter 727: Chapter 337: Seeking Heart (Part 2)

The following scene gave Ron a strong shock to his spirit.

Lance brought the Sea Siren boy who completely trusted him to the operating table, used an anesthetic rune to completely block his movents, and began his so-called "life research."

Throughout the process, Lance maintained a gentle smile and continuously comforted the boy who was utterly terrified.

"Don’t be afraid, this is just a short process.

You will soon enter eternal slumber, where there is no pain, no fear, only endless peace."

More appalling is that, aside from those bloodline fusion experints, Lance would also ticulously record every reaction of the boy during the experint.

Including the degree of fear, expressions of pain, and the full process of consciousness fading away.

He seed to be engaged in so pathological artistic creation, pursuing a twisted form of perfection.

Ron felt a strong wave of nausea surge within him.

As a modern person, he could not understand such disregard for innocent life.

Treating living children as experintal materials with such coldness touched the deepest bottom line of his heart.

Yet at the sa ti, he also noticed the ingenuity of Lance’s experintal techniques.

The precise control over the flow of life energy, the deep understanding of organ functions, indeed represented the pinnacle of bloodline studies at that ti.

"Cannot be swayed by emotions in judgnt." Ron forced himself to calm down:

"I need to learn the technical principles from this and not get entangled in moral judgnts. History has already happened; what I can do is ensure this knowledge is used in the right direction."

Fragnts of mory continued to swirl, but the contents beca increasingly dark and twisted.

Airena Moonlight’s emotional vault appeared before Ron.

It was a magnificent underground palace, with a do tens of ters high, walls embedded with nurous transparent containers all around.

Each container contained extracted and purified emotions, those abstract concepts here becoming tangible entities.

Love manifested as a pink orb, gently pulsating within the container;

Hatred as a churning black mist, constantly colliding against the walls of the container;

Fear, like a silver snake, frantically writhed in the liquid.

The most chilling was that these emotions still retained parts of the original owner’s consciousness.

Ron could hear them crying, pleading, cursing:

"Please... let

return to my child’s side... I want to feel my love for him again..."

"I want revenge! I want to kill that Witch! She stole my anger, and now I can’t even hate!"

"Fear... fear is everywhere... I no longer know what the feeling of safety is..."

Airena stood at the center of these agonizing containers, a look of ecstasy on her face.

She gently caressed each container, as if appreciating her art collection:

"Such pure emotions... such perfect extraction... each is the essence of the human soul..."

She turned towards a container filled with deep blue liquid, within it was a mother’s love for her child:

"This maternal love is so intense, so selfless... I want to refine it into the most perfect potion, so those who have lost loved ones can feel the warmth of being loved again."

But what Airena didn’t realize was that her "charitable" behavior was based on complete plunder of the original owner.

The mother, after losing the ability to love, had beco an emotionally indifferent shell.

Ron had fully entered the observer’s perspective, silently watching all of this.

If Lance’s cruelty had so twisted logic, then Airena’s actions were based entirely on the madness of self-deception.

She thought she was doing good deeds, but in reality was creating greater pain.

Ron had grown accustod to detaching himself, analyzing purely from a technical perspective:

"Materialization of emotions... if this technology could be improved, perhaps it could be used to treat ntal trauma.

For example, extracting a patient’s fear and pain without harming other emotions..."

The content of the mory fragnts beca increasingly insane.

Ron saw the downfall of Aegis Rakoru in his pursuit of the Philosopher’s Stone.

This once-respected Great Wizard, to obtain eternal life, had established a factory specifically for collecting "pure souls."

Tens of thousands of children from different races were confined in cramped cells.

Their innocence and hope slowly siphoned off, used in refining that legendary stone.

The most horrifying part was that the process required the children to remain conscious during extraction.

Because only when pure in a conscious state does it possess sufficient activity.

Even more appalling was Damian Puchi’s laboratory.

This insane Alchemist pushed living modifications to their extre.

His laboratory seed like a surreal nightmare:

So subjects were transford into living organ cultivation vessels,

Their abdominal cavities emptied, planting various precious organs inside, yet their brains remained awake, enduring unimaginable pain day and night;

So were rged into multi-headed monsters, three or four people’s heads forcibly stitched onto one body,

Their consciousnesses clashing, constantly experiencing ntal tearing every second;

Others were made into tools with partial awareness,

Like a speaking table, a thinking chair, weapons possessing human mory...

As he delved into these ever-darkening mories, Ron felt his spiritual defenses undergoing unprecedented assaults.
