Chapter 456: Chapter 245: Millennium (Part 3)
"Your mission is to govern the kingdom and continue the royal lineage; my path is to explore the unknown and seek the essence."
Andre sighed softly, "Rationally, I understand that, it’s just..."
He paused, his eyes flickering with an almost imperceptible lancholy:
"After this farewell, I might never see you again in this life."
Ron was slightly stunned and didn’t know how to respond for a mont.
Indeed, for a mortal, a few decades is a lifeti;
Yet for an Official Wizard, this is just a brief Chapter in a long life.
Seeing this, Andre shook his head and sighed softly:
"I guess I was right, soone like you probably rarely looks back at these mundane mories, do you?"
Saying this, the young man with golden hair suddenly laughed.
That carefree laughter was like returning to their youth when they first t:
"It’s okay, I know it’s a hard question to answer, I just have one request..."
He paused, his gaze turning uncharacteristically serious:
"If one day I beco a handful of dust, I hope you might take the ti to visit my grave. At that ti, who knows what the Faruk Kingdom would look like."
Ron took a deep breath and nodded solemnly:
"I promise you, Andre. No matter how long it takes, I will co back, to see your kingdom, to visit your grave."
Andre smiled contentedly, the worry in his eyes dispelled:
"That’s good. Before that, I’ll strive to make the Faruk Kingdom stronger, so when you return, you will be amazed."
The two exchanged a smile, temporarily forgetting the vast difference in the length of their lives, simply enjoying their rare friendship.
"It’s getting late, I should set off. Next ti I return, it might be after everything has ended..."
He stood up, a wave of indescribable emotion rising in his heart.
Andre was silent for a mont, his gaze turning to the increasingly dark sky outside the window: "End, what does it an for sothing to end?"
"Perhaps in a thousand years, after all, none of us can live that long."
Upon hearing this, Andre’s lips curled into a bittersweet smile:
"You might last that long, but I... I’m afraid I’ll beco dust within a century."
His gaze shifted to Ron, the golden vertical pupils glimring with complex emotions:
"When you walk the world a thousand years from now, my descendants might only revere you as a legend."
Ron did not imdiately respond, his gaze passed Andre, landing on the family crest on the wall.
The golden Crown Badge glead resplendently under the light, like a silent witness.
"Even a millennium will eventually co to an end, eventually."
Finally, he slowly spoke, his tone carrying a weariness beyond his years:
"But so things are eternal, such as mories and promises."
Andre was sowhat moved, then soon returned to his original expression: "I hope so."
"Then, farewell." The black-robed wizard began to walk, speaking lightly.
Andre took a deep breath and then formally perford a knight’s salute:
"May the stars guide your path, may fate favor your journey."
Ron returned the gesture with a wizard’s salute—right hand over his chest, a slight nod:
"May sunlight shine upon your kingdom, may your offspring carry on your glory."
They exchanged one final smile, a tacit understanding and camaraderie conveyed without words.
Ron turned and left, his long robe fluttering slightly behind him like a black sail setting off for a long voyage.
Andre stood in place, watching the friend who had changed his destiny leave, his eyes filled with both reluctance and expectation.
He knew this might be the last ti in his life he would see him.
But this friendship, this intersection, would forever remain in his mory, becoming one of his most treasured possessions.
The black-robed wizard waved backward, not turning back again.
He walked out of the Royal Palace gates, where Ailan had already prepared a carriage.
The tree spirit sensitively detected the master’s emotional fluctuations but wisely refrained from inquiring, just respectfully opening the car door.
The carriage slowly moved into the thick haze, gradually disappearing on the distant horizon.
Ron’s hands folded, playing with the Crown Badge in his palm, his thoughts already drifting to that unknown future land.
The Crystal Tower, the center of the Wizard World, was about to welco an extraordinary visitor.
"Ti flies, the world changes like tides..."
He mused to himself, gazing through the car window at the endless fields and the blurry mountains in the distance:
"When I return here again, everything on this land will probably have long changed beyond recognition."
A peculiar sense of loneliness enveloped him, a lancholy unique to those with long life spans.
But soon, his eyes regained their determination.
"This is the path I have chosen for myself."
Ron took a deep breath, a flash of resolve in his eyes: "No matter how many thorns and fog lie ahead, I will clear them all."
The carriage continued forward, carrying the young wizard to the next Chapter of his destiny.
And behind him were mories and attachnts that ti would gradually blur, as well as family and friendships destined to not journey together.
This is the fate of a wizard—pursuing eternity and truth, yet having to accept the transience of all coexistences.
