The sharp ring of the bell cut through the mont.
Cassian didn’t move at first, clearly unwilling to pull away. Mira laughed softly and gave him a playful shove.
"Cassian... the door."
He groaned but finally stepped away and walked toward it.
Watching him go, Mira couldn’t help smiling. The cold, intimidating Cassian Draymond, the man everyone in the business world feared, had sohow turned into a love-struck puppy around her.
When he opened the door, their parents stood outside—with the kids.
"Daddy!"
Both Ivy and Lucien ran straight toward him, their small footsteps echoing across the room as they launched themselves into his arms.
Cassian laughed and crouched down just in ti to catch them.
Behind them, their parents stepped inside and settled briefly onto the couch while the children clung to him excitedly.
Taking the mont, Mira slipped away to change into sothing more appropriate.
A few minutes later she returned, tying the belt of her dress as she walked back into the living area.
Their parents were already gathering their things. A couple of suitcases stood near the door.
Cassian’s mother smiled warmly when she saw Mira.
"Sorry to interrupt you two lovebirds this morning," she said with a light laugh. "But we’re heading back to California now."
She gently rested her hand on Ivy’s shoulder.
"And we’re taking Lucien and Ivy with us. They insisted on coming along."
Lucien nodded eagerly. "Grandpa said we get to sit in the back and watch movies the whole flight!"
"And we’re getting snacks," Ivy added proudly.
Cassian chuckled under his breath while Mira smiled at the kids’ excitent.
"We figured this would give you two a little more ti here before you head back," Cassian’s mother continued kindly. "A honeymoon shouldn’t feel rushed."
Cassian glanced at Mira, amusent flickering in his eyes.
"Well," he said lightly, "looks like we’ve officially been granted a little more freedom."
Mira rolled her eyes, though the smile tugging at her lips gave her away.
The door finally clicked shut behind their parents, leaving the suite quiet.
Mira leaned against the door, exhaling softly. "They really took them," she said, her voice a little wistful.
Cassian watched her with that familiar, unreadable expression, one eyebrow slightly raised. "You sound surprised."
"I am," she admitted, a small laugh escaping her. "I thought Ivy would refuse to leave."
"She probably would’ve," he said, his lips twitching. "But my mother... she knows how to bribe kids with snacks and movies."
Mira shook her head, a smile tugging at her lips. "Always the negotiator, huh?"
Cassian’s gaze softened as he took a step closer. "Not negotiating right now," he murmured. "Just... observing."
Her smile faltered a little, her heart catching. There was sothing in his eyes—sothing quiet and steady, the way he looked at her when he wanted her to feel seen.
"You realize what this ans, right?" he asked, his voice low, almost hesitant.
She tilted her head, curious. "What?"
He stopped just in front of her, one hand braced lightly against the doorfra, his other brushing her waist with a feather-light touch. "We have this whole place... just us. No kids, no parents, no one else. Just you and ."
Mira blinked, and a small laugh escaped her—half disbelief, half delight. "Peace and quiet sounds nice," she said softly.
Cassian smirked, leaning close, his breath grazing her ear. "I don’t think ’quiet ti’ is on the nu tonight."
Mira giggled, shaking her head. "You’re ridiculous."
"Only with you," he murmured, voice low, almost tender.
He pulled her a little closer, hand settling at the small of her back. For a mont, they just stood there, letting the silence stretch, letting the reality of the day—the vows, the laughter, the tears—sink in.
Cassian’s thumb traced her cheek, soft and grounding. "Still feels unreal," he said quietly.
Mira rested her head against his hand, smiling. "What’s unreal?"
"That you’re actually mine," he whispered, voice reverent and gentle.
Her chest ward, and without thinking, she wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing her forehead to his. "Cassian..."
He leaned down, kissing her slowly, deliberately, letting everything else fade away. When they pulled apart, their foreheads stayed together, breaths mingling, hearts beating in quiet rhythm.
"Co on," he said, a playful grin tugging at his lips.
"Where?" she asked, teasing, her voice soft but amused.
He brushed a stray strand of hair from her face, smirk deepening. "We’re in xico. Just you and . No interrup—"
His phone buzzed sharply, cutting him off. Mira laughed, shaking her head.
"Fucking perfect timing," he muttered, rolling his eyes before answering. " ryan."
"Good morning, sir," Ryan’s voice ca through, crisp and respectful. "Sorry to interrupt your... well-deserved ti."
"The investors are ready, and the work load is heavy. I’ve managed most of it, but they need your input. I can schedule travel today if you confirm."
Cassian stretched casually, one arm behind his head, his gaze flicking to Mira. "So the empire never sleeps," he murmured, half to himself, half to her.
"Yes, sir," Ryan continued. "If you give the go-ahead, I’ll book a late afternoon flight. I’ll also make sure everything in California is ready for your arrival so the etings can proceed without delay. You’ll be able to focus on the key points without distractions."
Cassian glanced at Mira, letting a slow smirk play on his lips. "Sounds like a plan. Book it. Late afternoon. Make sure it’s seamless—I don’t want any hiccups waiting for us when we land."
"Understood, sir. I’ll confirm everything and have the tickets ready. The etings will be prepped for your review imdiately upon arrival."
Cassian hung up, setting the phone down, and finally turned his full attention to Mira. His eyes softened, the teasing smirk lingering. "See? Even here, the world keeps trying to pull away from you."
She reached up, brushing a hand along his jaw. "And are you letting it?"
"For now? Not a chance," he said, leaning down to press a slow, deliberate kiss to her lips. "But we leave xico later today, and then our city will have my attention. Until then..." He traced a finger down her arm. "...you’re it. All mine."
Mira laughed softly, shaking her head. "I don’t know if I should be scared or impressed."
"Both," he whispered, smiling against her temple. "And that’s exactly how I like it."
He pulled back slightly, studying her for a mont before a playful idea crossed his face.
"Until then... why don’t we go enjoy the swimming pool on the terrace?" he suggested. "What do you think?"
Mira nodded imdiately, excitent lighting up her expression.
"That sounds perfect."
A few minutes later, they stepped into the elevator together and rode up to the terrace.
The terrace doors opened to a soft breeze, carrying the scent of salt and warm evening air.
Mira followed Cassian out, eyes widening at the view. The terrace stretched wide and open, a quiet escape above the world. At the far end, the infinity pool caught the last glow of the sun, the water shimring in gold and rose.
A few loungers waited, towels neatly folded, a small tray of fruit and sparkling water glinting in the fading light.
Cassian paused at the pool’s edge, his gaze sweeping over it, and then back to Mira. The unspoken question hung in the air.
She laughed softly, brushing her wet hair behind her ear, already feeling the pull of the water and the quiet freedom of the terrace.
He smirked, knowing she’d understood imdiately.
Without another word, cassian stood behind mira when she turn she fell into the pull and cassian jumped after her. Yeah what you doing?? she asked you i got startled And slipped into water. She says.
He swimd closer pressing her against the wall of pool invading her privacy tugging her strand of hair behind her ear. He ground his obvious Erection against her core making her gasp.

Cassian paused at the pool’s edge, his gaze sweeping the shimring water before drifting back to Mira. The unspoken invitation lingered between them, electric in the quiet terrace air.
She laughed softly, brushing damp strands of hair behind her ear, already drawn to the water’s pull and the private freedom of the night.
He smirked, reading her instantly.
Without a word, he stepped behind her as she turned toward the pool. The sudden tug of his presence startled her—she slipped forward with a yelp, tumbling into the cool embrace of the water. Cassian jumped in after her, surfacing with a grin.
"What are you doing?" she sputtered, splashing him playfully. "You scared —I slipped right in!"
He swam closer, caging her against the pool wall with his arms, water lapping at their shoulders. His fingers tucked a wet strand behind her ear, lingering as he pressed his body flush to hers, grinding his obvious hardness against her core. She gasped, heat flaring despite the chill.
"You look so beautiful when you’re all... wet," he murmured, voice low and rough, eyes dark with hunger.
"Cassian, not here," she whispered, even as her hands gripped his shoulders, traitorous want pooling low.
He pressed harder, letting her feel every inch of his need. "Right here, love. Where no one can stop ."
