Li Lin's acquaintance with Officer Ch'en needs to be traced back to four months ago.

After eting Texas and failing to be adopted, Li Lin had been wandering the streets and alleys of Lungn, relying on intuition to find opportunities everywhere. For example, freeloading internet access, freeloading food and drinks, eating free food samples and free drinks in supermarkets, and the like.

But how should I put it, walk the night roads too much and you'll eventually encounter ghosts (trouble).

Tis when it clearly felt like there were no problems often ended up having so subtle issues. The reason Li Lin didn't trust his intuition much was because, after getting so internet ti and heading back down to the sewers, even though it felt like the right path, he was cornered by a few punks. Because Li Lin's clothes looked relatively valuable, he was forced by a few drunk punks to strip them off, leaving only his underpants.

Then, the one who ca out to stop it at this ti was Officer Ch'en, who happened to be off duty. Officer Ch'en, on her way ho from work, couldn't stand such a scene, ca up and quickly and efficiently beat down the punks around Li Lin. Before Li Lin could even thank her, Officer Ch'en ca to check Li Lin's identification. It turned out this person was completely a 'three-no's' product: no identification, no related evidence, no mory, and didn't know the common sense of this world.

So Li Lin was taken by Officer Ch'en to the Lungn Guard Bureau to investigate his identity. But what the hell could they investigate about a transmigrator? Checking the records, everything was blank.

Coupled with Li Lin consciously avoiding caras and crowds, hiding his tracks, after investigation from multiple parties, it was believed that this person Li Lin likely had major issues. After being detained for two days, the final conclusion reached was exile to the outskirts of Lungn to fend for himself.

However, Li Lin didn't bla heaven or earth ; instead, he had quite pleasant conversations with Officer Ch'en while in the detention cell. Rather, although Officer Ch'en carried out Lungn's decision, emotionally, she felt rather apologetic towards Li Lin. After all, Li Lin hadn't committed any cri nor done anything outrageous ; on the contrary, he actively sought work opportunities and helped Officer Ch'en think through so cases, so throwing him out like this was really doing him a great disservice. Li Lin, however, felt it didn't matter. After all, everyone has their duties.

Compared to other exiled criminals, the greatest benefit Officer Ch'en could secure was stuffing a sapper shovel into Li Lin's hands. After saying goodbye in the outskirts, Li Lin spent a month on the periphery of Lungn, sotis starving, sotis full , and then ran into Exusiai returning from an official trip. The story began just like that.

The rest of the story, even the people at Penguin Logistics knew.

Exusiai found the holess Li Lin in the wild, then initially planned to introduce him to Penguin Logistics, but it ca to nothing due to much opposition, so she simply rented a place outside and took care of Li Lin. After a series of adjustnts and minor incidents, Li Lin was finally allowed to barely join Penguin Logistics. If Li Lin hadn't perford exceptionally well that night, otherwise, he would have had to work as a laborer outside for a period before integrating into Penguin Logistics.

This story, overall, is very hard to put into words . If Officer Ch'en had even the slightest bit of leeway, or if Lungn showed a little rcy beyond the law , Li Lin probably would have run to Officer Ch'en's side to freeload instead of coming to Exusiai's side. It can only be said to be a strange combination of circumstances .

"Didn't expect that Officer Ch'en could also show kindness~ My opinion of her has changed slightly. But being so ruthless even to the person she saved, I guess that's her style."

"Ya… Croissant, I didn't expect you actually had a past with that Officer Ch'en… Truly makes one sigh ."

"Miss Croissant, can you please not talk as if Officer Ch'en and I had an affair ?"

Although those legs are indeed powerful, I am innocent.

Facing the many Penguin Logistics employees and Francka from Blacksteel International who had joined in for so reason, Li Lin stated emphatically that he was completely innocent.

Rather, if not for his good temper, he might be full of resentnt towards Officer Ch'en right now. He was originally doing fine as a wandering undocunted person in Lungn, then got thrown in (detained) because of a brawl. Those few brawlers just finished their confinent and that was it, but he, on the other hand, was thrown outside.

Although Officer Ch'en was indeed fulfilling her duty, Li Lin felt that not being filled with resentnt about it, or thinking about revenge or anything, already showed very good character. As soone who grew up in a peaceful world, he still had quite favorable feelings towards such a conscientious police officer. Even though he had just returned with difficulty only to be investigated again, Li Lin didn't feel Officer Ch'en had done anything wrong. At most, he just felt his luck was really sowhat poor.

"…I have so questions."

Texas, sitting on the chair, looked at the innocent-faced Li Lin, fell silent for a mont, then asked in a low voice:

"During your ti in Lungn, how exactly did you get online?"

"Hm? How did I get online? Sotis, don't many people's computers inexplicably stop working properly ? But many people don't want to spend money, just getting angry about it. I would go over and say I'll help fix your computer, and then you let use the internet for a while. I just got tricked out of my identification proof, so I need to compensate with labor, no money needed. Seriously, there are actually quite a lot of people like that."

"And then? How did you fix the computers? What did you do online?"

"The vast majority of computer problems can be fixed by restarting. If one restart doesn't work, then do it a second ti. If it still doesn't work, then add hitting the computer case. If even that doesn't work, then changing the computer will definitely solve the problem. As for being online, what else could I do? Go online to various forums to search for information, discuss novel settings and opinions on data with netizens, look for so work that doesn't require identification to support myself first, basically just these things."

"That's it?"

"That's it."

Li Lin spread his hands, looking very innocent.

"Actually, I was quite famous back then, because I didn't charge money, and the results were good, many people rushed to find . If not for Officer Ch'en throwing directly into the Guard Bureau that ti, I might have just started an electronics repair business after a while. Anyway, most electronics repairs here just need a restart and a hit."

"…"

No, we've never heard that restarting and hitting can fix things here?

Looking at Li Lin's matter-of-fact expression, several people with so knowledge of electronics secretly complained/criticized in their hearts .

Instead, Texas fell silent after hearing this grand theory. Taking out a cigarette from her pocket, she paused, then swapped it for a Pocky stick held in her mouth, only then did she look with a sowhat complicated expression at Li Lin, who was being teased in turns by Francka and Croissant, unsure what she was thinking.
