Yu Hua Base City.
In the training ground, Zhao Lin was instructing her subordinates in battle techniques.
She first picked two of them to duel, and after it was over, singled out their weaknesses.
In the crowd gathered around, Zhao Lin wore a stern face and scolded one of her underlings, "How many tis have I told you, when facing the enemy’s attack, don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid!
Once you flinch, you’re basically dood to lose! Got it!"
The scolded subordinate blushed and hung his head, feeling the eyes around him.
"Hmph! Useless! If I find you shrinking back before a fight again, you won’t be joining the Evolutionary Squad. Step back!"
Zhao Lin snorted coldly and waved her hand impatiently.
"Yes!"
The two subordinates let out a sigh of relief and hurried back into the crowd.
"Alright, two more, Zhang Qinyu, Wang Ye, you two step up!"
Then Zhao Lin pointed into the crowd and picked out two more.
The chosen subordinates wore pained expressions but steeled themselves under their leader’s gaze.
"Begin!" At Zhao Lin’s command, they began to fight in the center of the crowd.
Zhao Lin observed every move, identifying their flaws.
It had been several days since Zhao Lin led Yu Hua Gang to rge with Yu Hua Base City.
In that ti, with the city’s official assistance, she had appropriately settled her followers.
The Evolvers were, of course, placed in the Inner City, along with their families.
The ordinary survivors weren’t so lucky and had to live in the Outer City. The difference in treatnt was vast.
However, that was just reality. The status of Evolvers in the apocalypse was higher than that of ordinary survivors.
Still, Zhao Lin, being a responsible leader, did not abandon the ordinary followers after arranging for them to live in the Outer City.
Instead, she used her status in the city to find jobs for every ordinary follower’s family, so that they could make a living. Now, basically, everyone’s been taken care of.
Of course, Zhao Lin’s priority was the 200 Evolver subordinates, who were far more crucial to her than the ordinary survivors.
The Base City gave her a Commander position and promised her control over her followers.
But perhaps due to the large number of Evolvers under her, the city provided resources for a squad but didn’t assign her any squad to command.
So, Zhao Lin naturally had to find a solution herself to beco a genuine Commander.
Soon after, she decided to incorporate her Evolver subordinates into Evolutionary Squads.
Currently, she has allocations for five squads, each comprising seven mbers, totaling thirty-five.
However, with 200 Evolvers under her, only 35 could fortunately join the squads, while the others had to wait.
Given the excellent treatnt allotted to squads, any ambitious Evolver would want to compete.
Finally, with no other choice due to the tumult, Zhao Lin decided to hold a selection to choose the most elite 35 from the 200 for the squads.
As ti passed, the fight at the center resud under Zhao Lin’s guidance. The surrounding Yu Hua Gang mbers listened intently, nodding along.
For a mont, the atmosphere was peculiar, as others trained and fought noisily while Zhao Lin’s scene seed like a vivid class in session.
"Hmph! I was wondering what profound truth was being imparted, seeing how seriously they’re listening!
Looks like high-ups sotis pick the wrong person, promoting soone who talks big!"
Unexpectedly, a sneering voice ca from outside the crowd, filled with malice.
Upon hearing it, the Yu Hua Gang mbers were enraged, collectively turning to glare at the speaker.
The newcor was a sun-tanned middle-aged officer, eyeing Zhao Lin and her group disdainfully, with so Evolvers behind him sneering.
"How dare you insult our boss! We won’t forgive you!"
A gang mber shouted angrily at the officer and his group.
The other mbers were equally incensed.
"What’s your intention? Trying to provoke us?" Zhao Lin approached, her expression cold.
"Haha, I just want to see if you, the new Commander Zhao, are all show and no substance!" the officer sneered.
"Take this punch!"
As soon as the words left his mouth, the officer’s expression changed, and like lightning, he charged at Zhao Lin.
During the charge, the officer transford into a bronze figure, Vajra Indestructible.
"A re third-tier Evolver dares to act arrogant before !"
Hearing this, Zhao Lin was infuriated. This guy was audacious and had to be taught a severe lesson.
In the next mont, Zhao Lin moved like a phantom, swiftly dodging in the confined space, shifting her body before pressing down fiercely with her hand.
Bang!
With a loud crash, the officer’s head was smashed into the lawn by Zhao Lin, swallowing dirt, his body paralyzed.
Both sides present were dumbfounded. Such an absurd outco, defeated in one blow!
Seeing the officer lose his combat strength with a single strike, Zhao Lin felt helpless, quickly released her grip, and stepped aside.
"Commander Zhao, your strength is truly exceptional, I’m impressed!"
It took a full minute before the officer struggled to get up, casting a complex look at Zhao Lin before shafully complinting her and leaving with his n.
Zhao Lin stood expressionless, watching them depart, a cold smile on her lips.
Half an hour later, in the eting room, the top brass of Yu Hua Base City were all present, including Zhao Lin. It was her first ti attending such a high-level eting.
"You all know the matter. About luring Thunderous Roar to attack the Corpse King, it’s been several days. We can’t delay any longer. To proceed or not, a vote must be held today!"
The city’s leader urged with wrinkled eyebrows.
The high-level mbers’ expressions changed slightly, conflicted.
"Alright, those in favor, raise your hands!"
Finally, unsurprisingly, five-sevenths were in favor, successfully approving the plan to lure Thunderous Roar to clash with the Corpse King.
Seated at the far end, Zhao Lin listened to the specific plan in shock.
"Damn it! I must go warn Lu Chuan and Little Qiqi!"
