Sitting on the main seat, the old man looked at the chaotic discussion and slamd his gavel.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

"Silence!"

After he shouted, the eting room finally cald down. Everyone stopped talking, but their expressions showed their rejection of the suggestion.

A few minutes later, a man in his late thirties stood up and said, "Lord Erast, as you said before, the possibility of Lunar City surviving the attack was only 1%. Even if we send reinforcents, how many soldiers should we send to their deaths?"

"What’s more, even if we send half of our military power to help them, how confident are you that we will be able to save them and eliminate those zombie cockroaches?" he asked again.

When he heard this, Erast Tolstoy frowned deeply. After a mont of silence, he finally said, "Sir Borislav, I understand your concerns. But Lunar City is part of the Tsardom Empire, and the people living there are our citizens."

"As the head of the parliant, I will never abandon our people. Even if the chance is low, there must be a solution and a way to save them."

The mont he said this, the commotion erupted again. This ti, the mbers of the parliant no longer discussed with each other but attacked him directly.

"Lord Erast, you say you won’t abandon our people. But by sending our soldiers over, what’s the difference between that and telling them to die?"

"Lord Erast, even as the head of the parliant, you can’t make a decision on your own. As long as the majority of the mbers raise their objections, you can’t mobilize the soldiers."

"That’s right, you can’t sacrifice half of our soldiers just to save your grandnephew."

As soon as they heard this, they looked at Erast Tolstoy with aningful gazes. Everyone knew that the Vice Mayor of Lunar City was his sister-in-law’s grandson.

He kept talking about the supplies that they might lose if the city were destroyed. But after they thought it over, his goal was to save his grandnephew and preserve the last descendant of the Volkov family!

Despite facing zombies and mutants, these people were still unable to see the bigger picture and only thought about benefiting their family mbers.

When Erast Tolstoy heard their words, sadness and disappointnt flashed in his eyes.

It was true that he wanted to save his grandnephew, but it was also true that the grain reserves in Lunar City couldn’t be lost. Otherwise, they would face a worse food shortage.

Fifteen minutes later, Borislav Morozov finally raised his hand and said, "Everyone, please calm down!"

As the heir of the Morozov family, he held military power second only to the Tsar. Therefore, although he was only 39 years old, his influence in the parliant couldn’t be underestimated.

Everyone held back their harsh words when they saw he had sothing to say.

When the hall finally returned to tranquility, Borislav Morozov looked at the old man sitting on the main seat and said, "Lord Erast, rather than wasting ti here, it’s better to vote. Whoever agrees to send the reinforcents, raise your hands."

After his words fell, besides Erast Tolstoy and his people, no one raised their hands.

Seeing that there were only 18 people who agreed to send the reinforcents, Borislav Morozov smiled and said, "Whoever disagrees with sending the reinforcents, raise your hands."

This ti, almost all of the parliant mbers raised their hands.

Borislav Morozov showed a smug smile and said, "Lord Erast, as you can see, the majority reject your suggestion to send reinforcents. But we can’t let the zombie cockroaches run rampant in our Empire’s territory."

After a mont of pause, he added, "Therefore, I suggest we burn the city down and remove the problem from the root."

The mont he said these words, Erast Tolstoy stood up and rejected his idea. "This is a ridiculous idea! I won’t agree!" Taking a breath to control his rage, he asked coldly, "Sir Borislav, are you suggesting that we burn our people alive?"

Spreading his hand, Borislav Morozov said helplessly, "Lord Erast, I also have no other options. It’s better to sacrifice a few thousand people than to let the zombie cockroaches go to other cities and kill millions of people."

"As for the reserve grains, I believe that our people will be able to find a way to grow crops and solve our food shortage. Considering the pros and cons, burning the city is the best way to stop the casualties."

When he t Borislav Morozov’s provoking gaze, Erast Tolstoy was so enraged that he felt a throbbing pain in his chest. He glared at him and said through gritted teeth, "Borislav Morozov, those are human lives! Our people! How could you do this?!"

Hearing his words, Borislav Morozov narrowed his eyes and replied, "Lord Erast, we are facing an apocalypse. It’s not the ti to be soft-hearted."

"If the zombie cockroaches attack other cities, can you take this responsibility? Can you ensure that no one will die?" he asked coldly.

Under his attack, Erast Tolstoy couldn’t say a word. Even though he had the will, he indeed had no ability to guarantee that the zombie cockroaches wouldn’t attack other cities.

eting his bloodshot eyes, Borislav Morozov smiled and said, "Lord Erast, you can rest assured. I will send my elite team over and make sure that they complete their mission perfectly."

After he finished his words, he turned and left the eting hall. Seeing this, one after another, the mbers of the parliant left the eting hall.

Ten minutes later, a young woman walked over and asked, "Lord Erast, what should we do now?"

Erast Tolstoy slumped down in his seat and closed his eyes.

Clenching his fists, he said, "There is nothing we can do now. Contact Lustin and tell him to prepare. Borislav is eager to bring the Volkov family down. I’m sure his elite team will arrive in 6 days at the latest."
