Zombie Apocalypse: Reborn With A Farming Space Chapter 579: Choices
After she finished speaking, Jiao Lizhi took out several bottles of water and so supplies for ergencies from her space. She did not give them any crystal cores.
"Each of you can take one bottle of water and one portion of the supplies. This might co in handy during an ergency," she added before returning to her seat.
Yuan Ruiyue had already learned about Jiao Lizhi from Zhang Yuan, so he reached out and took one portion for himself. Since the Captain had already accepted it, the mbers followed suit.
Soon after they stored the supplies, Zhang Yuan said, "Captain, we will land on one of the building rooftops in five minutes."
The mont he heard this, Jin Xuyan stood up, tightened his waist bag, and grabbed his longsword. He glanced at the mbers and said, "Prepare for landing."
Yuan Ruiyue’s mbers thought that they would leave after the chopper landed safely. Unexpectedly, Xiao Qi opened the door without any warning. The strong, harsh wind slapped their faces, making it hard to open their eyes.
Standing near the door, Qin Luzi said, "Captain, there are around three thousand zombies below, with one level-four zombie on the building three hundred ters from us."
"I will take care of the high-level zombie. The rest of you, clear the surrounding zombies."
"Understood," the mbers replied in unison.
As soon as he finished speaking, Jin Xuyan leaped out of the chopper without hesitation, followed by Jiao Lizhi, Du Beiye, and the rest of the Phantom team mbers.
After they jumped, Yuan Ruiyue turned to his mbers and said, "Those who are afraid can choose to stay and go back to the base." The mont he said this, he leaped out of the chopper without hesitation.
His mbers went to the door and saw that the Phantom team mbers had already landed on the rooftop and were killing zombies.
Although they knew that their physique was far above ordinary people, jumping from one hundred ters above the ground was not sothing easy to do. It required a huge amount of courage.
While everyone was still hesitating, Di Hansheng gritted his teeth and jumped out. Seeing this, Su Ruanyi hesitated for a second before following him.
Seeing this, Zhang Yuan nodded with satisfaction. The girl was young, but she was braver than the group of n. It seed they would be able to recruit good seedlings.
Zhang Yuan waited for a few minutes. When he saw that the rest of the group was standing there unmoving, he closed the door and turned the chopper around.
Noticing that they were leaving, one of the n asked, "Comrade, why are we leaving?"
"We are going back to the Lin’an City base. From now on, you are no longer part of Yuan Ruiyue’s team," Zhang Yuan replied calmly.
The mont they heard this, the group recalled Yuan Ruiyue’s words. While there was regret, they felt more relieved.
No one told them that the Phantom team would take on such a dangerous mission. They already knew that there were almost sixty thousand zombies, yet they still continued with their mission.
They knew their limits, and no one was willing to die. So, going back and living an ordinary life was not a bad ending.
Zhang Yuan noticed their expressions and shook his head. In their current condition, they could not afford to stop progressing. If they did not even have the courage to move up, then what awaited them was nothing but death or oppression.
While Zhang Yuan flew back to the Lin’an City base, Yuan Ruiyue glanced at Di Hansheng and Su Ruanyi. A smile flashed in his eyes.
Duagh! Crack!
As he chopped off another zombie’s head, Wen Kai ca over and said, "Ruiyue, you are indeed right. Only these two have the courage and determination to follow us."
"They are still young, but they are loyal. As long as they are trained, they will be able to keep up with the rest of our mbers," Yuan Ruiyue replied nonchalantly.
When he heard this, Wen burst out laughing. His laughter echoed and mixed with the sounds of zombies roaring. The mbers were used to chatting while killing zombies, but for the new mbers, they were startled to hear the laugh.
They didn’t even have ti to take a breath. How could these people even be able to chat and laugh during such an intense fight?
Not far from them, Qin Luzi was keeping an eye on the new mbers. He was responsible for their safety. Since they were new, their stamina and energy wouldn’t be able to keep up, so he was there to protect them when needed.
But unless necessary, he wouldn’t help them. Combat experience was sothing only they could gain from a life-and-death battle. Without the danger looming above their heads, how could they learn quickly?
So when he noticed several zombies lunging at the distracted new mbers, he waved his hand, and several wind blades flew toward the zombies.
Crash! Crash! Crash!
In a few seconds, several rotten heads were severed and rolled on the ground. The black blood splashed across the surface and stained the new mbers’ clothes.
Without even looking at them, he said, "Focus during the battle."
The mont the new mbers heard his voice, they couldn’t help but shudder and refocus their minds. They didn’t dare to be distracted anymore.
After an hour of battle, Chen Wenwu felt as if his arms were no longer his. They were so sore that he was barely able to swing his blade. His face was pale, and his clothes were drenched in sweat.
As for Di Hansheng and Su Ruanyi, both of them had already experienced battles against zombie hordes, so they had learned how to control their energy consumption.
At this mont, their condition was better than Chen Wenwu’s, but when compared to the relaxed Phantom team, they looked as if they had just finished a marathon.
Noticing their fatigue, Qin Luzi waved his hand. The next mont, several wind blades cleared the zombies surrounding them.
