Zombie Apocalypse: Reborn With A Farming Space Chapter 325: A Level-four Zombie ( 1 )
Even Chen Qianfeng, another Phantom team mber who was stronger than Gu Shaoze, was still weaker in comparison. In the entire base, perhaps no one could surpass her.
When the soldiers noticed how calm their captain was, one of them asked, "Captain, aren’t you surprised by his strength?"
Xun Che smiled and replied, "What is there to be surprised about? Compared to him, Chen Qianfeng can produce more than 8,000 liters of water daily. And compared to both of them, Jiao Lizhi is able to produce more than 30,000 liters before she runs out of energy."
As soon as he said this, Wen Hanli exclaid, "How could that be possible?"
"I have never seen it myself, but Wei Ying has. Since he witnessed it, the information is credible," Xun Che said.
With his words, the soldiers’ respect for the Phantom team increased by severalfold. It was no wonder they had survived so many zombie hordes. Each of their mbers was a monster.
After a mont of silence, Xun Che said, "Hanli, how many teams did we send out to clear the zombies?"
"Captain, we send ten teams every day to clear out the zombies near the base and expand our periter. At this mont, the area within a 500-ter radius of our base is clear," Wen Hanli replied.
Xun Che thought for a mont and said, "Send five teams with five mbers each to spread the word about our base recruiting people. We need to expand our base and build a stronger wall. After we clear an area within a 200-kiloter radius from our base, we will surround it with a higher wall."
"Captain, we don’t have anyone who knows about engineering. Even if we want to build the wall, we won’t know how to build it stronger."
"Since those talents didn’t co to us, we have to go out and find them. Have the small teams visit the surrounding survivor camps first and recruit more workers. The paynt will be equal to that of those registered as our base’s residences," Xun Che replied.
When they heard his words, they understood their Captain’s intention.
Xun Che opened the base design and spread it across the desk. Since they couldn’t enclose the periter with a high wall directly, they built the wall from the inside out, slowly expanding the base.
At this mont, they had built three layers of walls. Each wall was five ters high and two ters wide. The innermost part of the base was the central ring, where important personnel and their families lived.
The second ring housed key buildings. The third ring served as a residential area for survivors and ability-users. To improve the base’s economy, they designated an area specifically for the exchange market at the third ring.
Now, they were in the process of building the wall outside the fourth ring. Each ring extended 20 kiloters from the inner area to the wall. They planned to build ten layers of walls around the base.
"How is the construction progress?" Xun Che asked.
"The fourth wall is only at 20% completion," Wen Hanli replied.
Xun Che recalled Jin Xuyan’s words and calculated the ti. At their current pace, it would be impossible to build six more layers in just two months.
"Hanli, increase the number of workers. Also, send teams to collect supplies from other areas," he said.
"Understood."
After the brief eting, Wen Hanli and the soldiers left the eting room to carry out their tasks. As for Xun Che, he made a phone call using his satellite phone.
A mont later, the call was picked up, and Jin Xuyan’s voice ca through the receiver. "Xun Che, why did you call ?" he asked.
"Jin Xuyan, did your mber, Gu Shaoze, contact you?" Xun Che asked.
"What’s wrong?"
"I received a report from my n that your mber brought soone from Yunshan City and also brought back so grains. I want to borrow your mbers to find more supplies," Xun Che replied.
"You can just ask them directly. I’m busy now," Jin Xuyan said.
Just then, Xun Che heard the roaring of zombies on the other end, followed by the sound of an explosion.
"You are in the middle of a battle and still picked up the call?" Xun Che asked in surprise.
"I thought you had sothing important to discuss. Next ti, don’t bother with unimportant matters."
Just after he said this, Jin Xuyan saw the level-four zombie attacking his fiancée and shouted, "Ah Zhi!"
Boom!
A black fireball flew at high speed and hit the zombie, sending it flying and hitting the nearby building. As he put the satellite phone back into his pocket, he leaped toward his fiancée and asked, "Ah Zhi, are you okay?"
Jiao Lizhi had been hit by the zombie’s attack several tis and suffered an internal injury. Blood flowed from the corner of her lips. Using the back of her hand to wipe it away, she shook her head and said, "Brother Yan, I’m fine."
As soon as she said this, the zombie climbed out of the debris and raised its head, letting out a roar. "Roarrr!"
"Captain, it’s calling for more zombies," Qin Luzi said as he checked the map in his mind.
The scattered red dots within a 500-ter radius were moving in their direction.
Hearing this, Jin Xuyan said, "Block the road and clear the zombies."
"Understood," the Wen brothers nodded and built a tal wall to block the road, giving them a safe space.
Then he turned to his fiancée and said, "Ah Zhi, go help our mbers. I will handle this zombie."
Jiao Lizhi knew her fiancé was strong and capable of killing this zombie, but her instincts warned her that this one was different from the others.
She shook her head and said, "Brother Yan, there’s sothing wrong with this zombie. I’m not comfortable with you fighting it alone."
Seeing the concern in her eyes, Jin Xuyan thought for a mont and said, "Then make sure to protect yourself first."
"Understood," Jiao Lizhi nodded.
"Roar!!"
