413: Chapter 127: Tornado as the Medium (Part 2)_1 413: Chapter 127: Tornado as the Medium (Part 2)_1 Left with no choice, Ye Yinzhu swayed his upper body, finger as sword, drawing forth the Bamboo Shadows.

Shadows multiplied into numerous silhouettes, while his Zi rank Douqi bloomed like flowers, striking out in all directions.

He knew that he stood no chance in a speed petition with the Black Phoenix.

His advantage lay in magic, and he had to put some distance between them first.

But why would the Black Phoenix give Ye Yinzhu the opportunity to gain distance?

Like a maggot gnawing on dead bones, her shadow clung to Ye Yinzhu relentlessly.

The Douqi he released could only briefly stall her attacks, but the Black Phoenix’s strikes were too sharp; they would split his Zi Zhu Douqi right down the middle, rendering it unable to harm her.

If Ye Yinzhu could use the Sword of Nox now, he might stand a fighting chance, but he was currently unable to do so because of the spirit in the Black Box, and Green Silk was wrapped around Li Sha’s wrist, aiding her recovery.

At this moment, he was pletely unarmed.

The Black Phoenix’s attacks were terrifying, silent, each one launched from the least predictable angles.

Ye Yinzhu could barely catch a glimpse of a pitch-black dagger in her hand, but couldn’t discern the position from which she struck.

As they shifted positions dozens of times, not even once did they collide directly.

Yet, the corrosive Douqi of the Black Phoenix gave Ye Yinzhu a major headache.

“Break.” Ye Yinzhu shouted loudly, the air trembled violently, causing the Black Phoenix’s strikes to slow.

Seizing the opportunity, Ye Yinzhu used all his strength to surge his Douqi and skittered off the ground.

He quickly summoned his Desolate Dragon Yin’s Zither from his Space Ring.

In the nick of time, he cradled the zither with his left hand and plucked the strings swiftly seven times with his right, releasing seven High-Frequency Sound Blades behind him.

He firmly believed that this all-enpassing array of sound blades would block the Black Phoenix, allowing him to gain a stable footing; with the high-frequency sound blades, it would not be easy for her to get near him again.

While releasing the sound blades, Ye Yinzhu had regained his senses.

Moving backwards, he watched as the Black Phoenix, having recovered from the mental shock, chased after him like a wisp of black smoke.

The coverage of the seven intersecting sound blades was exceptionally wide.

However, to Ye Yinzhu’s horror, a scene unfolded.

The Black Phoenix’s body bizarrely twisted in mid-air and somehow slithered through the gaps between the sound blades, her body and sword merging as one, she charged towards Ye Yinzhu.

Ye Yinzhu’s right hand never paused, sending out sound blades in rapid succession.

Having barely managed to summon the Desolate Dragon Yin’s Zither, he had no intention of letting the Black Phoenix get close.

His Douqi had been depleted much more than the Black Phoenix’s before, and if things continued this way, defeat would be the only oute.

Against the High-Frequency Sound Blades, the Black Phoenix truly demonstrated her speed and exquisite movements, gliding through the air like a fish, managing to change direction and escape from the blades just as they were about to touch her.

Although her chase slowed down a bit, she was still rapidly closing in on Ye Yinzhu.

Finally, the momentum Ye Yinzhu had gained from his surge wore off, and seeing that the Black Phoenix was about to catch him, he stood firmly on his feet.

Just as he decided to resort to Launching Flash Thunder’s Elemental Bullets, an attack parable to a Forbidden Curse as a last resort, suddenly, his feet softened, and his body rapidly sank into the ground.

Clutching the Desolate Dragon Yin’s Zither in his hands, by the time he realized what was happening, he could clearly feel an immense suction force ing from beneath, dragging his body downwards.

Quick sand.

The first thing that came to Ye Yinzhu’s mind was this terrifying feature of the desert.

Could his luck really be this bad?

First a sandstorm, now quicksand.

Was this considered two disasters?

With quicksand beneath his feet and the Black Phoenix close behind, Ye Yinzhu found himself in a desperate situation.

As the Black Phoenix drew near, he realized that even if he wanted to release the energy of the Flash Thunder, it would be impossible to do so before the Black Phoenix’s dagger pierced his body.

In that instant, Ye Yinzhu’s mind raced with thoughts, but he didn’t summon the energy of the Flash Thunder.

Even though he knew that could take the Black Phoenix down with him, for some reason, the normally ruthless him couldn’t bring himself to do it now.

Ye Yinzhu didn’t look at the approaching dagger of the Black Phoenix but rather at her rapidly approaching cold gaze.

Is this the end?

Is everything going to end like this?

To think he would die here.

No, he must not die.

The thought of Summoning Zi surfaced in Ye Yinzhu’s mind, making him prepare to give up this battle of the Seven Nations against the Seven Dragons, when suddenly, he saw a peculiar emotion in the eyes of the Black Phoenix.

It appeared to be fear.

“Don’t move, I’ll pull you up,” the Black Phoenix almost yelled these words.

The dagger in her hand had disappeared at some point.

As her body lunged towards Ye Yinzhu, she grabbed his hand, and a burst of purple light shone through.

Ye Yinzhu felt an immense force on his hand, and his body was immediately yanked from the quicksand.

He slapped downward, and together with the Black Phoenix, they soared and landed dozens of meters away, to safety beyond the reach of the quicksand.

“Why did you save me?” After landing, Ye Yinzhu immediately voiced the doubt in his heart.

He was still holding the Black Phoenix’s hand, feeling her tense emotion and perspiring palms.

What was she nervous about?

Nervous about him?

Black Phoenix fiercely released Ye Yinzhu’s hand, her figure flashed, and she had already retreated three meters away, “You saved me once during the Tornado, so now I’m just returning the favor to you.

Go, next time we meet we will fight to the death.”

I saved her in the Tornado?

Ye Yinzhu watched Black Phoenix in surprise, wondering whether the situation back then could really be considered a rescue by anyone.

It seemed like she was desperately searching for a reason for herself.

Black Phoenix’s gaze kept appearing in his mind.

The intense fear and concern in her eyes when he fell into the quicksand, the nervousness after he landed.

What exactly was this for?

“Why aren’t you leaving yet, do you want me to kill you?” Black Phoenix shouted angrily.

She was beautiful, even in anger.

Her long eyelashes trembled slightly, and her big eyes waited for Ye Yinzhu to respond, giving him a feeling that her fierceness was merely a facade.

“Where would you have me go?

You won’t kill me.

Though I don’t know why, I can feel from your emotions that you don’t harbor any killing intent towards me.

Your previous attacks, though fierce, seemed to always hold back a bit of strength.

Tell me, why is that?” Ye Yinzhu stared intently at Black Phoenix, not giving her a chance to evade.

“Who says I won’t dare to kill you.” Black Phoenix seemed to bee infuriated out of embarrassment.

Her figure flashed, and the next moment, she appeared before Ye Yinzhu, a dark glint in her hand as it thrust towards Ye Yinzhu’s chest.

Ye Yinzhu didn’t move, nor did he make any kind of defensive action; he simply stood there, motionless, watching as the dark glint thrust towards his heart.

He didn’t move, firstly because he had an incredibly strong heart and wasn’t afraid of Black Phoenix’s attack, and secondly, he wanted to test whether his judgment was correct.

If Black Phoenix truly didn’t kill him, it would prove his feelings were not wrong.

Black Phoenix’s attack was astonishingly fast.

The cold dark light flashed, and the Short Blade almost instantly arrived at Ye Yinzhu’s chest.

Black Phoenix had not expected that Ye Yinzhu, who had previously struggled with all his might against her, would suddenly bee stationary and let her attack.

As the force behind the Short Blade was made, shock flashed across her cold, beautiful eyes.

With a low shout, she forcefully twisted her body in mid-air, slapping her right hand with her left, sending a buzzing sound reverberating as her Short Blade was directly slapped away.

Because of the excessive force, her forward trajectory shifted mid-air.

Originally facing Ye Yinzhu, her body turned because of the slap and ended up with her back to him, crashing directly into Ye Yinzhu’s arms.

Seeing Black Phoenix slap away the Short Blade, a faint smile appeared on Ye Yinzhu’s face.

He knew his judgment was right.

Before he could reflect further, Black Phoenix’s delicate body had already crashed into him.

He instinctively wrapped his arms around her as his chest tightened from the impact, simultaneously pulling Black Phoenix into his embrace.

The force of Black Phoenix’s initial strike was enormous, and without any preparation to resist, the collision sent both bodies tumbling backward.

With a thud, Ye Yinzhu fell onto the sandy ground.

He suddenly realized that the desert did have its advantages—at least the sand was much softer than solid ground.

With this fall, the hand he originally had around Black Phoenix’s waist shifted due to the impact.

He suddenly felt the slimness under his hand grow fuller, and his lower body was pressed firmly against the rounded curve beneath her waist.

Instead of disfort, he felt a wave of fragrance flooding his nostrils and an indescribable fort.

Black Phoenix had not expected her attack would evolve into this situation.

As she fell to the ground, she was about to bounce off Ye Yinzhu, yet her chest’s sensitive spot was precisely captured by his large hands.

Her whole body went limp, her formidable Douqi seemingly impossible to summon, her body struggled slightly, and involuntarily, her hips ground against Ye Yinzhu.

Their current position couldn’t be more suggestive.

“Let, let me go quickly,” Black Phoenix said weakly, her normally pale, cold cheeks now flushed scarlet.

“Your heartbeat is so fast,” said Ye Yinzhu, almost making Black Phoenix explode in rage, especially since the man was pressing on her left chest while mentioning her heartbeat.

“Let, let me go…” Black Phoenix tried to grab Ye Yinzhu’s hand, but given her current posture, she couldn’t exert much strength.

Moreover, her body’s never-violated sensitive spots were being invaded by those warm, large hands, leaving her, a formidable Zi rank Powerhouse, unable to escape from Ye Yinzhu’s grip.
