As Zodiac and Daru hurry back to Hana’s house, the scene transitions to Himitsu and Ohma peacefully sleeping in bed. Monts later, Daru bursts through the door, startling them awake.
Himitsu: AHHHHHHHH!
Ohma: (Rubbing his eyes) Zodiac? Daru? What are you two doing?
Daru: Co downstairs and wake up the others.
Himitsu and Ohma make their way downstairs to gather everyone in the living room, still drowsy.
Hana: (Yawning) Why did you wake us in the middle of the night?
Akira: (Irritated) This better be good, or I’m going to beat the crap out of you!
Zodiac: It is a good reason.
Akira: Then explain!
Daru: Zodiac and I weren’t tired, so we decided to investigate the school. As we—
Akira: Can you just get to the point?
Daru: Can you just be quiet!
Zodiac: Long story short, we found an underground passage beneath the school, located in Mr. Kyto’s classroom.
Himitsu: An underground passage in the science room!?
Zodiac: Yes. His desk had a hidden lever that flipped it upside down, revealing stairs leading down.
Ohma: What did you find down there?
Daru: We didn’t explore it because Zodiac wanted to co back and tell you all about it.
Hana: (Shocked) I can’t believe there was an underground passage right in my horoom.
Himitsu: I can’t believe it either.
They notice Hana deep in thought.
Akira: (Looking at Hana) What are you thinking?
Hana: Yesterday, right after my science class ended, Mr. Kyto pulled aside.
Daru: What happened?
Hana: While he was speaking to , he placed his hand over mine and began to rub his fingers against it.
Himitsu: What the heck?
Daru: Did he keep doing that?
Hana: No, he stopped when Himitsu returned to class to give my pencil. However, I find it unsettling that he did that, especially with an underground passage in his classroom. Sothing feels off.
Zodiac: Are you suggesting that Mr. Kyto is involved?
Hana: I don’t know for sure, but it certainly seems that way.
Gram: Hey! Open up!
Everyone turns toward the front door, recognizing Gram’s voice.
Daru: What the?
Himitsu: Is that Gram!?
Everyone rushes to the front door to see who it is. When Hana opens the door, she sees Gram, Kono, and Aimi together.
Hana: Aimi!
Aimi: Hana!
Aimi encounters Hana as they embrace.
Ohma: Gram!? Kono!?
Kono: Hey, guys! It’s been a while!
Akira: What are you doing here!?
Gram: We’re here to help you!
Daru: Help us? What do you an?
Gram: We’ll explain everything! There’s sothing important we need to tell you!
Gram, Kono, and Aimi proceed inside as everyone returns to the living room.
Zodiac: I can’t believe you guys are here when you were supposed to be at Sampostis waiting for us.
Gram: Sorry! I was so bored the past few days doing nothing with Kono.
Daru: I thought you liked doing nothing.
Gram: Shut up! I’m not going to lie; at first, it was fine, but after a few days, I just couldn’t take it anymore. So Kono and I decided to do so investigating on our own. We just found out sothing crazy!
Himitsu: What is it?
Kono: You know the teacher Mr. Kyto, right?
Hana: Yeah, he’s my and Himitsu’s horoom teacher.
Gram: Mr. Kyto is not what you think he is.
Akira: What?
Gram and Kono elaborate on their findings, leaving everyone astonished.
Himitsu: WHAT!!!
Hana: You’re saying that Mr. Kyto is a creature!?
Aimi: Yeah, sis. Technically, Mr. Kyto died a long ti ago.
Daru: And you’re saying this Eklis person is a creature called a Skell that can take souls and shapeshift into them?
Gram: Yes! Eklis was Mr. Kyto all along! All the students who were pale and had soulless eyes were a result of Eklis’s actions!
Ohma: All because he got bullied?
Aimi: That’s right. It sounds ridiculous, but it’s the truth.
Hana: I know why you went back to that mall. And my mother didn’t just pass away; she was murdered...
Hana begins to tear up as Aimi embraces her. Daru rises from the couch.
Daru: We end this tonight.
Kono: What? What are you talking about?
Himitsu: Zodiac and Daru found an underground passage at the school a couple of minutes ago.
Gram: Wait, really?
Daru: Yes. We also heard another student screaming while Zodiac witnessed a shadow entering the science room.
Aimi: It must be Eklis! It has to be!
Zodiac: Let’s hurry up and deal with this bastard. I want to get it over with.
Akira: Tell about it. This school can kiss my ass!
Everyone stands up and begins preparing to leave as Daru notices Aimi getting ready to join them.
Daru: (Looking at Aimi) What do you think you’re doing?
Aimi: What do you an? I’m coming with you!
Daru: Umm, no, you’re not. This is too dangerous for you.
Himitsu: Yeah, you could get hurt.
Aimi: No! I don’t care what you say! I’m going, and that’s final!
Hana: I’m with Aimi on this. I may not be strong, and I may not have powers like you, but I want to see that creature suffer!
They all observe Hana clenching her fist, trembling, and appearing anxious.
Daru: (Sighing) Fine. But you need to stay close to us at all tis. Got it?
Aimi & Hana: Got it!
Gram: (Excited) It’s ti to kick so ass!
Zodiac: You an run?
Gram: Shut up!
Once everyone is ready, they head outside and begin running toward the school. Upon arrival, they notice that all the security guards have disappeared.
Gram: So this is what the school looks like.
Daru: They’re gone.
Kono: Huh? Who’s gone?
Zodiac: The security guards. There were a few patrolling, but now they’re nowhere to be found.
Akira: Maybe Eklis is behind this.
Daru: Either way, we need to hurry.
Everyone passes through the gate, approaches the front door of the school, and enters. As they begin to explore, they hear another student screaming, echoing through the halls.
Gram: (Scared) What the hell!?
Daru: There’s another kid in danger. Co on.
They all follow Daru and Zodiac to the second floor, locating the science room. They enter and survey the surroundings.
Himitsu: So the passage is in this room?
Daru: Yes. Zodiac will open it.
Zodiac approaches Mr. Kyto’s desk but notices that the pen, which served as the lever, is missing.
Zodiac: It’s not here.
Aimi: What’s not here?
Zodiac: The lever. He must have gotten rid of it after we found it.
Daru: You’ve got to be kidding !
Kono: Well, maybe there’s another way to open it. Let’s look around.
Everyone searches the room, checking under desks, chairs, and books. After a mont, Hana spots sothing unusual on the wall.
Hana: What is that?
As Hana reaches out to touch it, she inadvertently presses an invisible button, causing sli to splatter onto her hand. At that mont, Mr. Kyto’s desk flips upside down, revealing a staircase leading downward.
Gram: Whoa!
Himitsu: Who figured it out?
Hana: (Hand raised) It was .
Kono: Well done, Hana!
Ohma: What’s that on your hand?
Hana, feeling disgusted, shakes the sli off her hand.
Hana: Eww, what the heck!
Daru: What a nasty piece of—I’m going to kill that asshole.
Zodiac: Let’s head down.
They walk down the staircase, going deeper. Upon reaching the bottom, they look around.
Aimi: This place feels like a dungeon!
Hana: I wonder how long this has been here.
As they move forward, they arrive at the set of doors that Zodiac and Daru found earlier.
Zodiac: And this is where we stopped.
Akira: Is this door locked?
Daru: It won’t be locked for long.
Daru channels his light powers, his fist turning purple, and punches through the door, breaking it open with a single strike.
Akira: Never mind.
Gram: Was that really necessary?
Daru: I thought it was.
Gram: What if the door wasn’t locked?
Daru: Then oh well, who cares.
Zodiac: The thing will know we’re here, so stay on guard.
Hana begins to tremble as Aimi grabs her hand to reassure her.
Aimi: It’s okay, sis. We’ll get through this.
Hana: R-right.
As they venture further into the dungeon, they hear a distant scream.
Girl: HEY, PLEASE!! ANYONE!!
Ohma: Did you guys hear that?
Daru: It ca from over there. Let’s go!
Everyone starts running toward the source of the scream. As they hurry, Zodiac notices sothing.
Zodiac: Hold up.
Everyone stops and looks at Zodiac.
Himitsu: What is it, Zodiac?
Zodiac: (Pointing) Look.
Zodiac points to the ground, where the dead animals from the house in the forest lie.
Ohma: T—that’s the animals from the house in the forest.
Gram: Eww! That’s just gross.
Aimi: It stinks too.
Daru: Co on, let’s keep moving.
Everyone follows Daru as the girl’s screams grow louder. When they reach her, they see a monster on top of her, committing horrific acts.
Gram: WHAT ON EARTH!?
The creature looks up and sees the others.
???: (Unsettling voice) WH—HOW DID YOU GET IN HERE!?!?
Hana: GET OFF HER!!
???: (Unsettling voice) HANA!?!
Hana picks up a rock and throws it at the creature.
???: Ahh, stop it, Hana!
The creature flees as they rush to the girl on the floor.
Aimi: I—is she okay?
Himitsu: I don’t know.
Gram: Watch out, let see if my book can help.
Gram begins searching his book for assistance.
Daru: Himitsu, stay with Gram. The rest of us will go after that thing!
Himitsu remains with Gram to ensure his safety, while the others chase after the creature.
Akira: Where did that thing go!?
Hana: It can’t be him; it can’t be!
Aimi: I think it is, sis... I think it’s him.
Zodiac: Can you stop all the chatter and focus!
Kono notices sothing on her left—it is the creature.
Kono: There!
Everyone turns and follows Kono as the creature darts into a dark room. They pause at the entrance.
Kono: It went in there!
Akira: So let’s go in and kill it!
Daru: We can’t kill him! He’s the only one who knows where the other Darb people are.
Akira: I’m really starting to hate being the good guys!
Zodiac: So what do we do then?
Daru: We go in, get him out, and then find the others.
Zodiac: Well, that’s a stupid plan.
Daru: You got a better one?
Zodiac: Yeah, kill the bastard and get out of this school!
Daru: We are not killing him!
Kono: Okay, can we not do this right now, you two?
???: It wasn’t supposed to be this way...
Everyone ceases speaking and gazes into the dark room as the creature addresses them.
???: The plan was perfect... and you ruined it! YOU RUINED IT FOR US!
anwhile, Gram is doing everything within his power for the student, but nothing is effective.
Gram: Nothing! Nothing is working!
Himitsu: Nothing? I thought you were the best healer.
Gram: Yeah, best healer, but I can’t bring people back from the dead... this girl is gone.
Himitsu: We need to get back to the others.
Gram: Yeah, let’s go.
Himitsu and Gram rush off to find the others.
Daru: Why are you doing this? Who are you!?
???: You have ruined it; each one of you has ruined it!
Hana: Eklis...
Everyone turns to Hana.
Hana: Eklis, is that truly you?
???: H-Hana...
Hana: Yes, it’s Hana.
Eklis: You rembered my na?
Hana, frightened and astonished, stares at him.
Hana: (Tearing up) W-why are you doing this?
Eklis: You rembered my na... I love it...
Hana: Eklis... answer , why are you doing this?
Eklis gradually erges from the shadows, revealing his unique appearance: he possesses a dozen arms and three triangular eyes.
Ohma: What the hell... He’s a monster.
Eklis: (Angrily) I AM NOT A MONSTER! I... I AM BEAUTIFUL...
Daru and Zodiac: Yeah, beautifully ugly.
Aimi: He looks so different.
Eklis: Indeed... I have evolved into my final form (smiling).
Daru: Evolved?
Eklis: Hana, I’m doing this for... us.
Everyone is taken aback.
Hana: For us? What does that an?!
Principal Fugen: It ans exactly what it says.
Everyone turns as Principal Fugen steps out from a hallway and stands beside Eklis.
Hana: Principal Fugen! W-what are you doing here?!
Principal Fugen: I’m running a school and eliminating anything that can harm or my family.
Akira: You and your family?
Kono recalls her research on the Principal, which noted he was married, and that his wife passed away a few years later.
Kono: He’s your son...
Everyone looks at Kono in surprise.
Kono: Eklis is your son... isn’t he?
Principal Fugen: (Chuckling) Yes, he is my son...
Zodiac: You’re unwell. You’re putting all this effort into this for your son.
Principal Fugen: Indeed, I am. My wife was a Skell. I t her while on vacation, and she was remarkable—humorous, charming, outgoing, and intelligent! I loved her deeply and desired to have a child, but she inford that Skells cannot have children with humans. This led to wonder, what if it were possible? I began researching and discovered a thod using her blood. I took so of her blood to Mr. Kyto, who assisted , but we were scared of what would happen. After his help, Eklis was born, and my wife and I were overjoyed to welco our son! I finally beca the father I aspired to be, and it transford my life for the better. Eklis was beautiful, so I enrolled him in my school. On his first day, he t Hana, and he was enamored with her. He returned ho every day discussing her, and before leaving for school, he would pick a flower from our garden to present to her.
On that day, I intended to introduce Eklis as my son; however, he faced bullying from other children, and my wife fell ill. I made every effort to save her, but ultimately, I was unable to do so. Following that incident, Eklis returned ho daily with bruises on his face and cuts across his body. Simultaneously, my wife’s condition continued to deteriorate, and soon she was on her deathbed. Her final words to were, "Look after our boy... and if they continue to hurt him, hurt them back harder."
After her passing, on the day Eklis went to school, he was nearly killed and retaliated against his aggressors. Mr. Kyto declared that NO CREATURES WERE ALLOWED AT THE SCHOOL! BUT I WAS THE PRINCIPAL, NOT HIM! Despite this, everyone sided with him, and they expelled Eklis and the others. Upon returning ho that day, I assured my son that he would never be hard again and that he could have whatever he desired because his mother urged him to fight back! Consequently, I encouraged Eklis to kill Mr. Kyto and his wife, and he took on Mr. Kyto’s form to execute our plan.
Ohma: What plan?
Principal Fugen: To kill all the people who hurt my son and who pose a threat to .
Akira: You’re doing all of this for your son?
Zodiac: Son, my ass! He’s not even your son by blood.
Principal Fugen: How dare YOU! He is my son. You may be right that he is not my biological son, but he is my son in every aningful way. I have cared for him as my own and loved him like a son! HE IS MY SON! And no, I am not rely doing this for him; I am doing this for my wife!
Aimi: You’re sick!
Principal Fugen: No, no, no! My WIFE was sick, and that sickness took her away from ! But now it is ti for our final piece.
Hana: Final piece?
Principal Fugen: Yes... You’re the final piece, Hana.
Everyone: WHAT!
Principal Fugen: (Laughs) You are marrying my son!
Eklis: It will be perfect! I can give you all the flowers you want and be with you every second.
Eklis begins to approach them, but Akira and the others step in front of her.
Akira: You’re not getting anywhere near her, asshole!
Eklis starts to beco angry.
Principal Fugen: Wrap this up quickly so we don’t have all night.
Eklis: Yes, Father!
Gram and Himitsu locate them just as the Principal is about to depart.
Gram: There you are!
Daru: Gram and Himitsu, go get Principal Fugen!
Himitsu: Why him?
Daru: Just go!
Gram and Himitsu pursue PrincipalFugen as he begins to flee.
Gram: Co back here! Ahhhh!
Himitsu: Ahhhh!
Eklis shouts, emitting a piercing screech that sends sound waves toward Aimi. Daru pushes Aimi aside, taking the impact and crashing into a wall.
Zodiac: This thing is ugly and can’t sing!
Aimi rushes to Daru as he rises from the ground, noticing a crunch beneath his feet. He looks down to see nurous bodies scattered around.
Daru: O-Oh my... These are all bodies he’s drabbed.
Aimi reaches Daru and gasps at the horrifying sight of the bodies.
Aimi: (Covering her mouth) Oh my goodness!
Daru: All these kids... they’re all dead.
Aimi approaches one of the bodies and realizes its identity.
Aimi: (Crying) D-Dad...
Daru: Wh—
Aimi turns and spots her mother.
Aimi: (Crying) Mom, they’re gone...
