After Wilma and I returned to HoBase from our little birthday getaway, she headed straight for her room where she relaxed and went into the Factory. She had so weapons to design now that she had the full specks of Chandrahas.
I was tempted to go with her, but I had a few papers to go over as I skipped my usual office work yesterday.
There wasn’t much. I had a few invites to parties from different nobles, all of which I refused. So business propositions and trade deals. I sent those to Lawrence to check over. And lastly, a few sign ups to the Duel Runner Tournant. They had already been added to the roster as they registered through the Factory, but my monsters had left a paper, which isn’t actually a paper but a ntal report, as I wanted to see the people who had signed up.
Because of the tournant coming up, and the preliminaries starting in just a few days, the Factory was extrely busy. Anyone who had signed up could use the D-wheel tracks and since this was the first tournant where you could actually practice beforehand, plenty of people did so.
So of them had begun to ask if they could customize their bikes, as everyone was using a very much default bike, but I told them what I had told beforehand. The tournant finalists will get to make their custom bikes. And after the tournant, others will be able to do so as well.
Also, there is one more difference with the upcoming tournant. It will be livestread.
Since I introduced the Internet and phones, I can do that. Sure not everyone holds a phone, but as long as people have a phone and a projector, sold separately, they can have an entire room of people looking at the tournant.
I already gifted regular phones to all adventurers’ guild’s guild masters, and plenty of them have upgraded to smartphones to get access to the Internet. And the money they can potentially make from having the tournant be visible might help them recover the cost of both the phone and the projector.
I an, they can just ask for a small fee to watch the tournant, and that is ignoring all the food and snacks the viewers will want. And since the guilds, at least everyone I’ve been to, run a small eatery, they can make and sell those snacks.
Now you might realize a little problem in that plan. The Factory ti dilation. Sure I’ve limited it to just 5 tis the regular speed in most parts of the Factory, but that is way too high for those observing from the outside.
But admittedly, the answer to that is simple. I can just turn it off. The preliminaries will be run under it, as those won’t be livestread. I’ll still make a collection of videos from the prelims, but I’ll only release them after the tournant so that people won’t be able to see their opponents’ decks.
Sure they can still get an idea, especially if they practice together, but that isn’t my fault. And it isn’t like the D-wheel track is isolated from the public parts of the Factory, so you can also get an idea that way.
By the way, a few people have challenged to duels and I’ve accepted when I’ve had the ti. I’ve been running random decks for those. I did bust out Cosmic Quasar Dragon and Red Supernova Dragon in two of them, hopefully making people think those will be my boss monsters for the tournant.

And no, neither of them is actually allowed in the tournant. Shooting Quasar and OG Red Nova Dragon are, but their retrains are a bit too good.

And yes, I’ve decided what deck I’ll bring to the tournant. It is an archetype no one else will have access to, and I even made quite a few custom cards so that I could actually use it. Konami just never made it all that good and I need it to be worthy of being the deck of the ‘main villain’. As I already said, this tournant will likely be even higher level than the previous ones.
But that is for later. I did all my paperwork for the day, so it is ti for so training.
After both physical and magical training, I headed to our private bathhouse. My monsters had already prepared a full bath for , and apparently they had called soone else as Unika was waiting for . She had clearly washed herself already and was ready to wash , so I just let her do as she wished.
The next day, I woke up to a call from Duke Burch. He called because his airship, yes he had leased one of mine, had been attacked by a monster when he was returning to his domain from the Capital. It hadn’t been visibly damaged but the Duke was worried it had so damage and wanted to check that the ship was safe to use.
I asked him what had attacked, and it was just a few B-rank monsters, so I knew for a fact the ship would be fine. I an, if the ship had been damaged, it would have sent an automated damage report. But since my custor is worried, I made a house call.
It started with teleporting to the city’s adventurers’ guild and walking from there. It is nice to just walk sotis. Though admittedly, I was getting more looks than I’ve been getting previously. Is there sothing on my face?
I quickly checked and confird I was looking just fine. Sure I was wearing clothes based on my old world so and those get so looks, but I was getting more than what I’m used to.
Maybe they’ve seen in the videos I’ve made or sothing? I am one of the few that can make videos, and I’m the one who has made the most. And my videos are always prioritized on the video sharing website I made.
It doesn’t seem to be a problem for now, but if I get even more well known, I might have to start wearing a disguise when I go into big cities. Though I can probably just use One of Every Race for that. Maybe I can sohow unlock a feature that lets change my hair color and hair length with it. That would really allow to turn into soone else.
Sure I can just change my gender, but that will only work for so long.
I eventually reached the Duke’s private airship dock. There already was one in the city for the tis the King ca to visit, but since obtaining the ship, it had clearly been overhauled.
It was by no ans in bad condition, but now it was in fantastic condition, easily rivaling the airship dock in the Hero’s country. And where it previously had space for two airships, it could now fit a third, that spot being taken up by the ship I’m leasing him.
Being led to the ship, I found a few chanics looking at parts of it. Luckily they hadn’t taken anything apart, as with certain systems active, the ship could see it as an attack. They were seemingly just scanning the ship's panels for damage.
I was quickly introduced to them, but admittedly I rembered them from when I delivered the ship. I had given them a quick crash course on what not to do with the ship. Technically any damage they’d inflict with ‘repairs’ would be their fault, thus the fault of the Duke, and they would get expensive quickly.
They took to the bridge and luckily they had turned off the automatic defenses before ssing with the ship. I downloaded the ships information onto my phone, because while I get basic reports from the ships to HoBase, that is only things like location info and how much antimatter the ship has used. And also if any error or damage ssages had been given.
With the more detailed report on my phone, I dropped my phone into Storage so that Tahlia could get the report without having to see it from my mory. It didn’t take long at all, so I took my phone back out and placed it into my pocket. Can’t receive calls when it is in Storage.
From there, I did a full system’s check on the ship with the console and nothing was wrong with it. Again, as expected.
I then completed a walkaround of the ship with the two chanics. This allowed to take a look at how the Duke had customized his ship, and while it wasn’t all that much, there were so things I admittedly didn’t consider when building the ship.
For example, he had built a small stage that held so instrunts so that he could enjoy live music while on board. The kitchen was also a bit different from how I designed it, but that was a minor thing.
He had also added a video projector to the main sitting room. It didn’t have a smartphone attached to it, but just having a projector laying around was sothing. Maybe I should add those to the next gen airships myself.
After we finished on the inside, we checked out the deck and then the outside of the ship. Again, no damage.
I then took the ship into Storage and scanned it real quick. I did notice higher than expected wear on a few parts and made sure to ntally note that down, but those parts still won’t break for around 10 years. I just expected them to last 15 to 20 years with this level of use.
Except that I have a little workaround for that. Storage can repair completed items I can fit inside of it. That includes the entire airship. So I naturally used Storage to repair everything.
The only thing Storage’s repair couldn’t do is refill consumable things of the ship. So things like the fresh water tank and fueling the antimatter. Consumable things aren’t the sa as durability damage. But I emptied the ship's blackwater tanks.
I told the chanics that the ship was perfectly fine, reminded them to refill the fresh water tank, told them about the extra service on the blackwater tanks, and asked them to relay the good news to the Duke. I didn’t tell anyone off for calling , because I know that with the usual airships on the market, after an attack by B-rank monsters, the ship needs to be looked over and might even need so repairs. My ships are just overbuilt.
