CH.606 Nuron Gates

Today I was returning to the Monster World. I had two things I needed to do.

First, a favor for Unika and Stella. I headed for their mountain and made sure no monster was trying to make a claim on it in Stella’s absence.

The two of them can actually ‘summon’ themselves to this world, sothing to do with Stella and all of that, but they are still learning their capabilities, so I promised them I’d do it instead.

The flight over to the Solar Mountain didn’t take all that long, so I quickly got to work looking over the area. So monsters were living at the bottom of the mountain, but I think that is fine, so I left them be.

Higher on the hills, a few monsters were climbing the mountain, so I decided to deal with them. For that, I summoned four monsters. Four Nuron Gates to be specific. With Nuron Network and Nuron Calling, it was very easy. I also activated Imperial Iron Wall so the Gates don’t get banished.

I knew from personal experience that the Nuron Gates were intimidating. That is why I picked them. And they can’t be destroyed by battle and they are really powerful when they attack in a sequence.

While the Nuron Gates scared away the intruders, I looked around the top of the mountain. I didn’t really appreciate it when I last ca here, but it was a really nice place.

The top of the mountain was high enough to where it was above clouds, so you could always see the Sun. And while it seed quite damaged and like sothing had eaten a part of it, there was a decently sized crystal at the very top of the mountain.

As I looked at the crystal, I realized what may have consud so of it. So I brought out Errelitea and cut off a tiny piece so I could analyze it. And it was as I assud. The crystal is the very sa as the crystal egg that surrounded Unika and Stella while they evolved. So they used it for cover while they were vulnerable.

I was tempted to leave the egg fragnts here, because I feel like they belong here, but I’ll ask Unika and Stella for their opinion.

As I was still watching over the mountain, making sure the monsters got the ssage, I saw a large source of mana flying towards the mountain. A source I already t once and the other reason I returned to this world.

Uṛanta, the Great Sky Dragon, was approaching. I ordered my Gates to return to my side, because while I managed to not have to fight last ti, I’m not completely sure if I can avoid that again.

The dragon ca to a stop about a hundred ters from , and began to talk.

{Are you making a claim for this mountain, human?} He asked, speaking in Draconic.

“No!” I responded in kind. “I am here on behalf of Stella and Unika, the rulers of this mountain! They are currently unable to ensure their rule, so they sent instead!”

{Unika? Who might that be? Has the Solar Flare Fox found herself a life partner?} The dragon pondered.

“In a way, yes!” I answered. “They will return eventually and reclaim their rule! Until then, myself or soone else may co here to reassure no one threatens their area!”

{I see.} The dragon said, as it gently landed on the hillside. {And here I was, ready to challenge you if you assud you could claim an area while its master is away.}

“You really do live up to the title of a Guardian.” I complinted the dragon. “Even watching over the areas of others.”

{Everything under the sky is mine.} The dragon said. {That includes the plains, the forests, the rivers, and this mountain. Thus I make those who live here follow the rules. The only place I cannot touch is the land below the ground, thus I leave it to Sagarmatha.}

“... I don’t know if that is greedy or modesty.”

{What about you, human?} The dragon began. {I can sll the scent of multiple dragons on you. Are you a friend of dragons?}

“In a way.” I answered. “A dragon has dedicated their heart to . I have eight more learning under . I can summon many, many dragons, including the Prism-Ice Dragon Hiśaila. And the divine dragon is interested in , as she believes that I will beco strong enough to impregnate her.”

{Interesting one, aren’t you?}

“If you are interested, how about we make a summoning contract?” I asked. This is actually what I wanted. I wanted to see if Uṛanta would make a summoning contract with .

From what I know, the area masters are very strong monsters. SS-rank, or potentially even beyond that. And it is the ‘beyond that’ which interests .

I couldn’t rank up Nir, who is SS-rank. But if a rank beyond that does exist, I want to know how to rank up monsters to that rank. So having one of them, who I can summon to the Factory, would be useful.

Yes, I can summon a monster to the Factory. It is just Soul Magic and Soul Magic can be used to enter the Factory.

{I suppose I could. If you are strong enough.} The dragon answered.

“I am strong. For a human. But I am no match against a dragon like you.” I answered. “However, I can summon powerful monsters, ones you’ve never seen before.” I said, as I waved at my Nuron Gates. “They are extrely powerful. Powerful enough to even stand up to the divine dragon.”

{Interesting. Then I suppose I will test out these monsters of yours.} Uṛanta said. {If they are as mighty as you say, I will make a contract with you.} He then flapped his wings and took to the sky.

I sent my Nuron Gates after him, and Uṛanta didn’t hesitate to attack them. Luckily, my Gates can’t be destroyed by battle. And after each ‘Damage Step’, all of them doubled in strength. So after just three landed attacks, they were all at 8 thousand attack. And unlike in the TCG where that is where their attack gain would end, here it didn’t. Instead, they kept growing.

16 thousand. 32 thousand. 64 thousand.

And with each hit, Uṛanta broke apart into specs of light, before reforming just a few seconds later. I suppose monsters here really are immortal.

When they reached 256 thousand attack, I ordered my monsters to stop. That is because at 128k, their attacks were starting to damage space and ti, despite them being purely physical attacks. So I didn’t want them to gain even more power and potentially cause so sort of dinsional fissure.

And since the battle phase was now over, all of my Nuron Gates returned to one thousand attack.

“So, how was that? Are they powerful enough?” I asked the dragon.

He landed on the mountainside again, before speaking.

{Yes. Your monsters can rend the sky itself. I would be honored to respond to the calls of soone who commands such monsters.} He told .

We quickly worked out a contract, which was quite nice except for the massive mana cost that was over four tis the mana I needed to summon Nir. And Nir is already almost double that of what Hiśaila now needs. Compared to the S-rank Hiśaila, Uṛanta needs 12 tis the mana.

Luckily I have tons of mana, so I can still summon him.

{Thank you for the contract, Master Summoner.} Uṛanta said. {I, উড়ন্ত, shall respond to your calls from now on.}

I flew back to the portal on Uṛanta. I asked him about locations where dragons live, especially if he had any clues about ice dragons, and he told of a few locations he knew.

I also asked him if he knew a fenrir, but Uṛanta admitted that he didn’t know land dwelling creatures outside of his area.

The info on the dragons was still useful, as I had one clue on where Hiśaila might live. I’ll just hand that info to Unika and she can lead the next expedition that way.

On HoBase, I was spending ti with Unika. She deserves it and she will soon leave for the next exploration, so I’m getting my hours in while I can.

I was helping her with all of her tails. She wanted to brush all of them, but putting in the ti for nine tails, well, it took ti. So she enlisted so help.

That help being just and my Magical Arms. I can control eight of them currently, as long as a pair is always focused on a single task. Add that to my normal arms, and I can brush up to five tails at the sa ti.

Unika’s tails felt a bit different after her evolution. Mainly based on the color.

The light yellow tails were the softest and the most sensitive, so I was extrely careful with them. Maybe that is why they are at the center of the tail cluster.

The red ones were the warst. Again, kind of makes sense. Red. Fire. You get the idea. They were also the most difficult to brush, not because of the heat, but because the hairs liked to move like they were flas, so you could never get them to be perfect.

The blue ones were quite coolest to touch, and they also had the thickest and toughest hairs. Because of that, I had to use a stronger brush on those tails. The teeth of the more gentle brushes were getting ripped off by the blue tails.

I’ll need to talk to Wilma about these finds. I think we can make so custom brushes for each tail color which will make this more enjoyable and will give better end results.

Still, I had fun doing it. To the point where Unika transford into her full fox form and asked to brush the rest of her. Which I of course did.

By the end of it, her fur was shiny and smooth.

Unika then ordered to change into a Fenrir-kin, and she then returned the favor by brushing my fenrir tail. By the way, my fenrir tail is closest to Unika’s blue tails. It is quite through, so you need to use so force while brushing it. But in return, after you brush it, it keeps its shape really nicely. And yes, that shape stayed between race changes, kind of like a savestate.
