CH.557 Xyz Era Begins
And so, the next fissure arrives. Because they always do.
But this ti, I was going to bring so mbers of the Wild Pack with to observe the fissure. They won’t actually be fighting anything, but just watching.
I let Indigo pick who she wanted to bring, I had Unika pick them up in B.E.S. Tetran and bring them over.

I then summoned Exodia using The Body of the Forbidden One and Exodia the Forbidden One.

[collapse]
From there it was nothing special. I popped open the fissure with Dinsional Fissure, Exodia worked on closing it, while The Wicked Emptiness insta killed any monsters that happened to appear.

[collapse]
But that was only for on the ground, as in Tetran, there was a minor incident I learned about after the fact.
“The monsters were acting off?” I asked to confirm.
“Yes. As soon as that miasma blob appeared.” Indigo confird.
I looked at the tars still calming their tad monsters and decided it really was a good thing we didn’t take Tugga the cerberus with us, even if Indigo wanted to bring him. He is simply too large for even a B.E.S. ship to hold.
I think we really need to focus on the Wild Pack mbers getting Tar’s Paradise. That skill is way too useful for transporting tad monsters. I really need to learn it as well, so I think I’ll focus on it for a bit. I know Space Magic and I have Storage, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to get.
But back to the tad monster problem. I have a theory. They reacted to the miasma that cos out of a dinsional fissure. Naturally it isn’t just miasma that cos out of it, it is pure Chaos energy. Chaos energy which is made of mana, miasma and ‘creation energy’. Yes I know it isn’t creation energy, but the System Agents refuse to tell the real na, so it is creation energy until they do.
So since there is plenty of miasma flowing out from the dinsional fissure, the tad monsters, and all monsters really, react to it by acting more violent. They don’t have the protection of the System, so a sudden miasma spike causes things to them. I’m not exactly sure what, maybe pain, maybe irritation, but they don’t like it, so they can go wild.
But that should be an easy fix. I think I can study my own Miasma Resistance and Miasma Control skills and probably make so sort of miasma protection amulet that tad monsters can wear. Sothing like that will hopefully keep them safe even if they have to fight monsters made of the Chaos energy.
But that cos later. Because now, I have a new set. And also, it is the start of a new era. Because I just unlocked Generation Force and has Xyz monsters. So the Xyz era has begun.
And since I unlocked a new set, you know what cos next. Packs.
I’ll start with 10 and depending on how long it takes, I might do 5 or 10 more.

GENF 1
Damage Vaccine Oga MAX; Skull Kraken; Crashbug Z; Gusto Codor; Thunder Short; Laval Magma Cannoneer; Burgeoning Whirlfla; Wind-Up Dog; Wingtortoise
[collapse]
Alright. Damage Vaccine Oga MAX is definitely interesting, as it helps you instantly recover any amount of life points you lost in one instance. But you still need to lose those life points. So while it can be good, it is a bit too situational and I’d rather just not take that damage in the first place.
Skull Kraken is fine. He can destroy face up Spells, so he can probably ss up so continuous style spells, like buffing spells, barriers and the like. But his stats are h, so I probably won’t use him.
The Crashbugs really are just wannabe Gadgets. That includes Crashbug Z. They aren’t bad, but Gadgets with Offering are way better.
Gusto Codor summons a Wind Psychic after it destroys sothing by battle. Which is a great effect, but just super specific. Also, since it summons from the deck, I can get so stuff that I can’t normally access with the effect.
Spoiler
[collapse]
Thunder Short is a decent card, but was it really printed in Generation Force? I feel like it was a thing way before Generation Force. [Note: Again, I checked. And even in the OCG, Thunder Short ca out in Generation Force.]
Laval Magma Cannoneer can do so okay burn damage, at the cost of discarding Fire monsters.
Burgeoning Whirlfla negates traps, but I have better cards for that.
Wind-Up Dog is cool. And I can study him, and the other Wind-Ups I’ll hopefully get, to make so wind up toys. Wind up chanisms can be quite interesting.
And Wingtortoise is nothing special. Just a special summon condition on okay at best stats.
Next pack.
Spoiler
GENF 2
Treaty on Uniform Nonclature; Wind-Up Dog; Burgeoning Whirlfla; Saambell the Summoner; Utopian Aura; Poki Draco; The Great Emperor Penguin; Fish and Kicks; Airorca
[collapse]
Treaty on Uniform Nonclature can destroy spells and the conditions for it aren’t that difficult to achieve. Except that I like summoning different monsters, not just three copies of the sa monster. Unless said monster is Blue-Eyes, but then again, I haven’t been summoning Blue-Eyes monsters that often lately.
Saambell the Summoner is okay, but I have unlimited summons.
Utopian Aura is interesting and I’ll need to see if I can use it to help Wilma with her goal, or maybe it can be used on Unika’s fox orthorus.
Poki Draco is cute and it searches more Poki Dracos. Sadly it has like no stats.
The Great Emperor Penguin summons other Penguin monsters from the deck. And as always, summoning from the ‘deck’ is the most busted effect, as Pack Opener just chooses two random monsters that fulfill the condition, even outside of the cards I have access to, and just summons them.
Fish and Kicks is just a banish one card. Which is fine, but I have other cards that do the sa with less setup.
And Airorca is the sa as Fish and Kicks. It isn’t bad, but I can do the sa with less setup.
Next pack.

GENF 3
Thunder Short; Past Image; Damage Vaccine Oga MAX; Crashbug X; Wind-Up Soldier; Geargiano; Tyrant's Tummyache; Wind-Up Zenmaister; Fish and Swaps
[collapse]
Past Image is a temporary banishnt, which can be really good.
Wind-Up Soldier is fine. Okay stats and the effect to gain more is fine.
Geargiano is a tribute for Monster Reborn. But only for level 4 Machine type monsters, and their effects are negated. I think I’ll just use Monster Reborn instead.
Tyrant's Tummyache basically only restricts what I can do, so I’ll never use it.
Fish and Swaps is a two for two. And recovering banished cards is good enough.
And Wind-Up Zenmaister is the first Xyz I’ve gotten from this set. And it is fine. The stats are a bit low, but it does gain more based on the number of Xyz materials it has. But sadly the effect of turning sothing into face down defense position for the turn is okay at best. I guess you can use it with so Flip monsters for devastating effects, but is that really worth it?
Next pack.
Spoiler
GENF 4
Gogogo Golem; Aqua Jet; Damage Vaccine Oga MAX; Tyrant's Tummyache; Gusto Codor; Thunder Short; Gravelstorm; Perditious Puppeteer; Skystarray
[collapse]
Gogogo Golem has okay stats and the once per turn battle survival is fine enough.
Aqua Jet is a really nice boost. And I think it would make for a good install for a r-folk. And I can also reverse engineer it to make so sort of underwater super speeder thingy.
Gravelstorm is very h. I’d rather destroy a spell/trap.
Perditious Puppeteer is stupidly overpowered. If I can use him/it to gain control of all people who are under level 30, which is the limit for level 3 and lower as tested with Level Limit - Area A in the Factory, I can take control of entire cities. At least in theory. And sure, so will be immune, but 90% of the population is under level 30, if not more.
And Skystarray is okay. Attack directly, get banished for a bit, attack directly isn’t bad.
Next pack.
Spoiler
GENF 5
Overwind; Vylon Filant; Peeking Goblin; Poseidon Wave; Geargiano; Master of the Flaming Dragonswords; Gogogo Golem; Achacha Archer; Gishki Diviner
[collapse]
Overwind is a Wind-Up specific Limiter Removal. Which is fine.
Vylon Filant is good. It prevents an opponent from using spells and traps when you attack them. And I do have Vylon Delta, so I can actually use it.
Peeking Goblin is no good as it reads, but maybe it can actually reveal so real secrets if I use it. So I’ll have to test it out.
Poseidon Wave is just an alternative, like a worse alternative, for Magic Cylinder.
Master of the Flaming Dragonswords sounds cool and might make for a good practice partner for Ria. Though he might need an equip to actually stand up to the draconic dhampir.
Achacha Archer is an archer. … Great. He actually is, because I really lack Archer monsters. I only have like … seven. Okay, that is more than I thought I’d had, but still good to have more.
And Gishki Diviner is my first Gishki monster. And the effect is … sothing. Don’t really know how it would work, so I’ll need to test it out at so point.
Next pack.
Spoiler
GENF 6
Utopian Aura; Explosive Urchin; Perditious Puppeteer; Drill Barnacle; Double or Nothing!; Tyrant's Tummyache; Crashbug Road; The Great Emperor Penguin; Resonance Device
[collapse]
Explosive Urchin is way too specific. And it even destroys itself after 3 turns.
Drill Barnacle is weak, and yes he gets stronger, but way too slowly for any real world use.
Already had Double or Nothing thanks to the Xyz challenge. It is a good card, if not a bit specific.
Crashbug Road is just an extra summon, that I don’t need.
And Resonance Device is just ‘perform an Xyz summoning, please’ the card.
Next pack.
Spoiler
GENF 7
Oni-Gami Combo; Gusto Codor; Crashbug Z; Spearfish Soldier; Poki Draco; Gravelstorm; Achacha Archer; Leviair the Sea Dragon; Attention!
[collapse]
Already had Oni-Gami Combo because of the Xyz challenge. But like Double or Nothing, Oni-Gami Combo is okay, so I don’t mind.
Spearfish Soldier gains extra attack for each banished Fish, Sea Serpent, and Aqua-Type monster, which is good. And it even has good starting stats.
Attention! is definitely interesting, and can be extrely devastating.
And Leviair the Sea Dragon just summons banished level 4 or lower monsters. Which is perfectly fine.
Next pack.
Spoiler
GENF 8
Peeking Goblin; Milla the Temporal Magician; Aqua Jet; Overwind; Flyfang; Gem-Elephant; Past Image; Future Glow; Jawsman
[collapse]
Milla the Temporal Magician is soone I wish I had access to when I was learning Ti Magic. I think she would have been a better teacher than Ti Wizard.
Flyfang is a flying shark, but it really isn’t all that amazing.
Gem-Elephant sucks.
Future Glow is potentially a huge attack boost, so I love it.
And Jawsman has good attack and gains more for every Water monster on my field. Just a good monster.
Next pack.
Spoiler
GENF 9
Gravelstorm; Laval Magma Cannoneer; Perditious Puppeteer; Crashbug Y; Thunder Short; Asleep at the Switch; Drill Barnacle; Spearfish Soldier; Resonance Device
[collapse]
Asleep at the Switch is very specific, but not bad.
Next pack. And this will be the last.
Spoiler
GENF 10
Flyfang; Laval Magma Cannoneer; Poki Draco; Elental HERO Flash; Gusto Codor; Skull Kraken; Underworld Egg Clutch; Gogogo Golem; Curse of the Circle
[collapse]
Elental HERO Flash has a good effect, to recover a normal Spell from the GY. But the cost and conditions are way too expensive.
Underworld Egg Clutch is just a search card. Good, but nothing crazy.
And Curse of the Circle sucks. It just prevents a monster from being used as a tribute or a Synchro material. … and it ca out in the set that introduced Xyz monsters. I feel like this is a targeted attack at Synchro monsters to that Xyz monsters beco the next big thing.
But that was the first Generation Force opening.Got two Xyz monsters, and so cool cards like Utopian Aura and Perditious Puppeteer.
