CH.539 Star Titanium Card Experint

So, to no one's surprise, Loki and Thor are great.

Spoiler

[collapse]

Loki knows a lot of strange spells. He is really good with different illusions, transmutations, temporary transformations and delayed spell activation.

The last one is quite the fun one, as no one really does delayed spell activation. It is what it sounds like. You fully chant the spell beforehand and then pick the place and timing for the spell to actually go off. It is a lot like a Trap card, but just instead done with a spell, and while most of us don’t really need anything like that, it could be a useful skill for Alice and Janina to have.

Well, Janina is willing to learn basically anything new anyways.

But Loki isn’t the only one Janina wants to learn from, because Thor is OP. See, as they do, the two dragons challenged my new god cards to a Factory match as soon as I summoned them.

And while Janina was able to take down Loki no problem, she actually lost to Thor because Thor negated all of her abilities, and while Janina was trying to figure out how to deal with that, she got hamred. … That sounded wrong, but whatever.

Agunan tied with Loki, by the way. Well, I guess you could technically call it Loki’s win, as Loki nuked both of them, but then used his effect to co back, while Agunan had to recover with Factory magic. And yes, Agunan did also lose to Thor, but he actually stood against the hamr wielding god for a while, mainly because he saw Janina’s match, so he knew Thor’s effect. But Thor since Thor could still do a bunch of bullshit, mainly lightning, while his opponent only can really do physical strength, he won against the more powerful dragon.

So yeah. Effect negation is OP, because you can’t use Magic or any skill while all of your abilities are negated. Who would have known?

Actually, I did. I just never had that effect attached to a 3500 attack monster.

In other news, as soon as I showed Wilma the Forbidden Lance, she agreed to make a spear I could install it into.

The blank ‘card’ I used was basically equal in size to a standard Yugioh card, except that it was a bit thicker. I could have gotten the star titanium to the sa thickness as a regular card, but the sleeves and toploaders add a bit of thickness to the card anyway, so I didn’t want to make it too thin. As long as it fits into a duel disk, it is just fine.

After the install, my star titanium card was now a perfect replica of the Stardust Dragon card, except that it lacked color. It was like one of those unpainted tal replica cards you can buy.

“Okay. Maybe it needs ti? The cards on death cooldown are grayed out, so maybe that is the case?” I pondered. “Or maybe I need to properly summon it for it to gain the color?”

I decided to try summoning the Stardust Dragon. First I just tried to call out the na, like I would with a card I’ve already properly summoned, but that didn’t work.

Then I summoned out the Synchro materials for Stardust and attempted to Synchro summon the card, but it didn’t work either.

I think there are two options. One, this just won’t work. Or two, it doesn’t work because I didn’t use star titanium cards as the materials for the summon. I really should have made a normal summonable monster instead of an extra deck monster.

So let’s just make another one. For my second star titanium card, I decided to go with Stardust Trail. It fits the the, and if I can summon her, I can make a Stardust Synchron star titanium card, and then I’ll have the materials for Stardust Dragon.

Soon enough I had the Stardust Trail card in hand, and I attempted to summon her. … but like with Stardust Dragon, it didn’t work.

Well, that sucks. I guess I can make cool tal replicas, but they can’t actually be used. I guess I’ll just stick to the regular cards. I’ll at least make a stand for these two and place them onto my office desk so they don’t go to waste.

And since that didn’t work, I decided to finally look into how Alice managed to extend the summoning ti with Mana all that ti ago. Because of that, and what happened with the lesser water spirit, I know that the summoning ti of my monsters can be extended. At least up to 1.5x the usual ti.

The spirit said it had sothing to do with stabilizing their unusual mana, I think. So if I can figure out a device, maybe sothing they can wear, that can do that, I’ll have longer summoning tis.

And luckily, I have plenty of things I can use as a base for it, like the avatar dolls. They can, technically, extend a monster's summoning ti. But they do it by giving the monster a body that they take over. And that stabilizes the mana of the monster.

Next up I ran an experint with a few monsters, and just as many spirits. With them, I did confirm that a lesser spirit doing a spirit synchro with a monster can extend the summoning ti to 1.5x or 3 hours. With an interdiate spirit, it is a bit longer, at about 1.8x or 3 and a half hours. With a greater spirit, it can be up to 2.1x and with a superior, up to 3x.

But that 3x can only be done with very powerful monsters, as with weaker monsters, the power of a superior spirit will put a strain on their body, and the monster will actually die before the summoning ti limit expires.

I then called the spirits I used for the experint to the Factory, so that I could get feedback from them. They told about the ways they stabilize the monsters’ mana, but sadly they couldn’t offer suggestions on how to do it.

But at least I know it is sothing to do with mana, so I could keep up the experint.

And I think I also figured out how Alice extended the summoning ti of Mana. It is because the two of them were practicing mana circulation. Which is done by linking your arms.

And since Alice didn’t have a duel disk at that ti, she’d had to have Mana’s card in her hand. So the mana they circulated would have passed through the card, as well as Mana herself.

And that must have been enough to stabilize Mana’s mana, and allow her to exist for longer.

And yeah, knowing all of that is kind of cool, but honestly, I didn’t need to know that. Because for , I can just summon another copy of the monster. There are very few monsters I only have a single copy of, mainly the Dragonmaids.

And since I can just keep them around with avatar dolls, the extended summoning duration doesn’t really help.

As for why I wanted extended summoning tis, well, it was for situations like what happened in Smorog with the creatures. During tis like those, it would be great to be able to send out monsters who can act on their own, but the summoning tis do get in the way.

Sure they can, most likely, deal with whatever problem there is, but things like reassuring the public takes too long. And that just isn’t optimal when trying to avoid panic and chaos.

But I suppose this ans I’ll just need to get more mbers to the Card Summoner clan, so we can always have personnel on location.

Speaking of personnel, after I accepted the confessions of a certain fox girl, her mother decided to finally trust that I was a good master, and I got a Dragonmaid for that.

Mission: Good Master

Worker Olia sees you as a good employer.

Reward: Chamber Dragonmaid

And I got the dark attribute Dragonmaid for it. I didn’t even know there was a dark attribute one. I an it makes sense, but it hadn’t been printed before I was isekai’d.

And it doesn’t appear in the artwork of Send-Off and Welco, so it must have been printed afterwards.

“... you know, there is more to than just that tail.” I pointed out to Unika, as she was pressing her face into my fenrir tail.

“No! This is all I need.” She said, and just kept snuggling my tail.

“... More for the rest of us?” Alice pointed out.

“Like you don’t have your preferences.” Lua comnted.

“Says miss ‘his blood is mine’.” Alice quiped.

“His beard is mine.” Wilma made her claim.

“And his wings are mine.” Janina added.

“... So … are his legs mine? Or can I claim his lips?” Cailie asked.

“NO!” The other five answered Cailie’s question about my lips.

“... you know, I don’t like that you are trying to divide .” I told the girls. “I’m not so trophy you hunted that you are now planning to split apart. … or is there sothing I don’t know?”

“If they try, I’ll save you.” Janina reassured .

“Yes.” Alice agreed. “We are just claiming our snuggling spots.”

“... Well, as long as you are happy.” I told them.
