CH.450 D-Wheels

“Okay Cailie. I got your new monsters.” I told the rmaid.

“Really? Thank you!” Cailie flew at and hugged tight.

I have to say, lately she has been using her wheelchair less and less, using her Aerial Swimming skill instead. Most of the ti, she only brings it out when she is tired.

She now also has access to Storage. System link, being a part of the harem and all of that. Of course I’d give her Storage access.

Cailie had returned the Ard Dragons to after our dungeon adventure, and I accepted them back. She did keep the rmaid Knight and Cure rmaid I gave her though.

But now, she was getting new cards to replace what she ‘lost’. Starting off with the two Simorghs I had to act as her boss monsters. Simorgh, Bird of Divinity and Simorgh, Bird of Ancestry.

Spoiler

[collapse]

Now I will fully admit that Divinity Simorgh is a bit dangerous because of its effect. But Cailie already has Cure rmaid for HP recovery, and she is about to get a few more things.

Her main lineup of cards will be my entire Aroma package. She already likes the Aromage monsters, because they work with her on the CropFields, so I got more copies of all of them. Then I DNA Transplanted the two Synchroes to be Wind attribute instead of Light.

Spoiler

[collapse]

After Cailie approved of her duel disk, I quickly showed her how to Synchro summon monsters.

Then it was ti for a little fun on my part. Because I finally have enough Montum for sothing I’ve been saving for. A duel runner, or a D-wheel, whichever you prefer.

It was a bit of a pain just resummoning my Aromaseraphy on repeat, as they were the only Synchro monsters I had. But I did it and I now have more than 500 Montum.

I traded in the 500 Montum and got myself a new tab in my Montum Reactor tab.

Montum Reactor

[Summon D-Wheel]

[Customize D-Wheel]

Gathered Montum: 44

[Use Montum]

So I just hit the Summon D-Wheel button and the D-Wheel appeared next to .

… and it looked like a piece of shit. It looked like so sort of a training D-Wheel, not like one of the badass D-Wheels I was expecting.

Spoiler

... okay, so for so reason, the image quality is that of a potato. If you want better quality, click this link.

[collapse]

It honestly looked like a kid's kick bike or sothing. So before I even took it for a ride, I unsummoned the thing and opened up the Customization tab.

In there, I saw a bunch of duel runners from the ani I could purchase, with Montum naturally. Anything from Yusei’s Yusei Go to Z-one's ‘D-Wheel’ were available.

Spoiler

[collapse]

Their cost varied on a variety of factors, such as top speed, acceleration, handling and so on, with more advanced D-Wheels cosing way more.

And just sothing like a colored D-Wheel already costs 1000 Montum, and the prices don’t get cheaper as they get faster and better.

Spoiler

[collapse]

For those that want to know, Z-one’s D-Wheel costs 100,000 Montum.

There was also a tab where I could design my own original D-Wheel, but even making one like that would cost Montum. Basically, the more ‘stat points’ I’d give the D-Wheel, the more expensive it would be.

Again, the stats I can play with are top speed, acceleration, handling, durability and auto-pilot. I could also add additional features like ‘gliding’ and ‘flight’, but those add a ton to the cost.

I guess that explains why Z-one’s D-Wheel is so expensive. It has all of its stats beyond maxed out and cos with literally every feature available.

But yeah. With the Montum I currently have, there is no way I’ll be able to make a D-Wheel better than the piece of … practice equipnt that I have.

So while I was salty, I did at least want to take my practice bike for a ride.

By the end of the ride, I learned an interesting fact. Riding a D-Wheel produces Montum. Not a lot, repeat Synchro spam is way more efficient, but it is sothing.

The amount of Montum generated isn’t based on distance traveled, but instead on speed at which you travel. And I know what you are going to say, ‘If you travel x ti with y speed, you can calculate the distance. So it does depend on distance.’

So yes, but not really. It depends on speed. If I travel 100 km with a speed of 100 km/h, which is the fastest my ‘training bike’ can travel, I’ll get right around 1 Montum.

But if I instead had a bike that could travel that sa 100 km at a speed of 200 km/h, I’d get around 4 Montum, despite spending only half the ti riding the trip.

So if I were to ride a D-Wheel with a max speed of 100km/h for one hour, I’d get 1 Montum, but if I ride an hour with a D-Wheel with a top speed of 200 km/h, it’d be more like 8 Montum. The speed makes a big difference and I really need a better bike if I really want to even consider riding a D-Wheel to be a good way of generating Montum.

So since I need more Montum, I need more Synchro monsters. And you know what that ans, right? Yeah. More packs.

Besides, I want that Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. It will work as a good dragon for Cailie, if I can’t get Stardust Dragon. She can also always have both.

So yeah. I’ll do ten packs of both Duelist Genesis and Crossroads of Chaos today as well, hoping for any Synchro monsters.

Spoiler

TDGS 1

Equip Shot, Book of Eclipse, Turbo Booster, Gonogo, Lightwave Tuning, Noisy Gnat, Quillbolt Hedgehog, Jutte Fighter, Grapple Blocker

[collapse]

Okay, so the only new card is Quillbolt Hedgehog. It is pretty good in the TCG, but not all that amazing for . Free summons and all of that.

Next pack.

Spoiler

TDGS 2

Mind Protector, Krebons, Tricky Spell 4, Spacegate, cha Bunny, Lightwave Tuning, dium Piece Golem, Fish Depth Charge, Telekinetic Charging Cell

[collapse]

Spacegate sounds super cool, but it is actually kind of trash. Like for it is completely useless, but even in the TCG, it is just way too slow. But it might have so interesting teleportation tech, so I might want to look into it. Maybe if I can combine it with Exchange, I can make sothing like teleportation mirrors. In theory, it should work, because the letter exchange boxes can transfer matter over a long distance.

But that is for the future. Next pack.

Spoiler

TDGS 3

Gonogo, Geartown, Psychic Commander, Quillbolt Hedgehog, Gladiator Beast Equeste, Noisy Gnat, Kunoichi, Doctor Cranium, The Tricky

[collapse]

Tricky is … decent. Again, good in the TCG, but not all that amazing for . I guess he is a Wind Spellcaster and I don’t have all that many of those, so that is nice. And it's not like Tricky is bad. It is just … special summon effects are kind of unnecessary.

Next pack.

Spoiler

TDGS 4

Judgnt of Thunder, Oyster ister, Telepathic Power, Doctor Cranium, Gladiator Beast Equeste, Overworked, Domino Effect, Lightsworn Sabre, De-Synchro

[collapse]

Okay. Few new cards.

Judgnt of Thunder is bad. If it was a Quick Play Spell, maybe you could use it, but a trap that destroys just 1 monster, and you have to specifically summon a Thunder for it, it isn’t worth it.

Oyster ister is fine-ish. Sadly it doesn’t special summon the token after being destroyed by battle, but it is still decent.

Lightsworn Sabre is perfectly fine. A decent attack boost and it transfers onto another monster if the equipped monster is destroyed.

And De-Synchro is nice. Like actually nice. Unlike Fusions, which can basically only be done by my cards, spirit synchroes are a thing, and I think De-Synchro can break one apart. So if we ever face a situation like we did with Amilie, where soone is using a spirit synchro or a sprite synchro against us, I now have a card for that.

Next pack.

Spoiler

TDGS 5

Destructotron, Recycling Batteries, Lightwave Tuning, Fish Depth Charge, Spacegate, Telekinetic Shocker, dium Piece Golem, Jenis, Lightsworn nder, Cold Enchanter

[collapse]

Nothing new here. Next.

Spoiler

TDGS 6

Psi-Station, Fish Depth Charge, Book of Eclipse, Psychic Rejuvenation, Quillbolt Hedgehog, Mirror of Yata, Doctor Cranium, Jutte Fighter, Dark Resonator

[collapse]

Okay. Another few new cards.

Psi-Station is interesting. The level and attack up are not bad effects, and I shouldn’t have to pay the HP cost.

Psychic Rejuvenation can heal a lot, so that is good. Sure it does rely on Psychic monsters, but so what.

Mirror of Yata is fine. Keeps spirit monsters from returning to my hand after a bit. … but then again, that was never how spirit monsters worked with . They were just … unable to touch anything. But they could exist. So maybe Mirror of Yata would allow them to actually attack stuff? I don’t know. Maybe I need to experint with that.

And Dark Resonator is Dark Resonator. It is fine, but nothing super special. It is just a Dark tuner at the end of the day, even if it used to be popular.

Next pack.

Spoiler

TDGS 7

Orb of Yasaka, Remote Revenge, Lightwave Tuning, Jutte Fighter, Krebons, Silent Strider, Ghost Gardna, dium Piece Golem, Trap of Darkness

[collapse]

Nothing new, next.

Spoiler

TDGS 8

Tricky Spell 4, Needlebug Nest, Orb of Yasaka, Sword of Kusanagi, Destructotron, Remote Revenge, Spacegate, Psi-Station, De-Synchro

[collapse]

Again, nothing new. Next.

Spoiler

TDGS 9

Dharc the Dark Charr, Mind Protector, Spacegate, Orb of Yasaka, cha Bunny, Silent Strider, Junk Barrage, The Selection, Fiendish Engine Oga

[collapse]

Oh? Dharc is new. That is nice. Hopefully I’ll get another one, so I can give one to Unika. She is the one that uses the Charrs.

The Selection is not great. Just … There are better cards that do more with less setup.

And Fiendish Engine Oga … it is a monster. Is it bad? No. Is it as good as so other stuff I have? Not really.

Last pack before I change sets. Still haven’t gotten a single Synchro, so let’s hope for sothing white.

Spoiler

TDGS 10

Junk Barrage, Geartown, Lightsworn Barrier, Kunoichi, Book of Eclipse, Psychic Rejuvenation, Telepathic Power, Spacegate, Grapple Blocker

[collapse]

Nope. No Synchroes here. Lightsworn Barrier is new, but it sucks. It is just a worse Negate Attack. It doesn’t even stop the battle phase, just negates the one attack. I guess the saving grace is the fact that it is a continuous trap, so you can use the effect multiple tis, but do you really want to mill your entire deck? Even while playing Lightsworns, that much milling can be bad.

Now, let’s move onto Crossroads of Chaos.

Spoiler

CSOC 1

Iron Chain Coil, Poison Chain, Healing Wave Generator, Gadget Hauler, Morphtronic Clocken, Goblin Decoy Squad, Fragrance Storm, Revival Gift, Mad Archfiend

[collapse]

Healing Wave Generator is new, and I could probably use it to make so sort of a healing device. Not that one is necessary, but … maybe I’ll look into it if I have the ti.

Next pack.

Spoiler

CSOC 2

Gozen Match, Lineage of Destruction, The White Stone of Legend, Synchro Strike, Oga Goggles, Gadget Hauler, Bamboo Scrap, Jade Knight, The World Tree

[collapse]

Bamboo Scrap is new, but it isn’t amazing. Tribute a monster for two tokens, not really worth it. I guess in so situations it is, but yeah.

And since it is the only new card in this pack, next.

Spoiler

CSOC 3

Oga Goggles, Seed of Deception, Synchro Strike, Teleport, Plant Food Chain, Gigantic Cephalotus, Iron Chain Coil, DNA Checkup, Morphtronic Boomboxen

[collapse]

Teleport is new, but again, I don’t need it.

Morphtronic Boomboxen on the other hand. Well, it is a radio. That can attack twice. But more importantly, it is a radio. Radios have speakers, so I can get so speaker tech from it.

Not that I don’t already have functional speakers, but they aren’t the greatest, and Boomboxen might help.

Next pack.

Spoiler

CSOC 4

Lineage of Destruction, Plant Food Chain, Confusion Chaff, Botanical Girl, Fragrance Storm, Poison Chain, Morphtronic Monitron, Black Rose Dragon, Search Striker

[collapse]

Morphtronic Monitron isn’t sothing I need. I can just … order my monster to change their battle position. I don’t need a continuous trap for that.

But Black Rose Dragon though. I think I just found Cailie’s dragon. I an, it is perfect for her. She likes plants, so she’ll like the plant dragon. I hope. Sure Black Rose Dragon can be a bit destructive, but I think Cailie can handle it. I’ll just get another copy of the card and swap it to Wind attribute, and it will be perfect.

And it is my fifth Synchro, so I can get Clear Wing now.

But first, so more packs.

Spoiler

CSOC 5

Giant Trap Hole, Wall of Ivy, Zombie Mammoth, Morphtronic Cord, Synchro Strike, Morphtronic Engine, Power Injector, Cursed Fig, Morphtronic Radion

[collapse]

Morphtronic Radion is okay. The attack boost is good, as is the defense boost. Sadly it is just for Morphtronics, but that is just how it goes.

Next.

Spoiler

CSOC 6

Healing Wave Generator, Synchro Strike, Card Rotator, Zombie Mammoth, Oga Goggles, Gadget Hauler, DNA Checkup, Gigantic Cephalotus, Storm Caller

[collapse]

Nothing new, next.

Spoiler

CSOC 7

Jade Knight, Gadget Driver, Poison Chain, Card Rotator, Synchro Strike, Confusion Chaff, Seed of Deception, Bamboo Scrap, Cactus Fighter

[collapse]

Gadget Driver … why? Just why? Why does all the Morphtronic support suck? No one cares that you can change the battle position of multiple Morphtronics at the sa ti. It doesn’t accomplish much. I guess you can get tokens for the Field spell, but that is about it.

Next pack.

Spoiler

CSOC 8

DNA Checkup, Morphtronic Monitron, Bamboo Scrap, Psychic Jumper, Power Injector, Gadget Hauler, Wall of Ivy, Mosaic Manticore, Machine Lord Ur

[collapse]

… okay. Why is Mosaic Manticore awful? Like yes, it lets you summon the tributed monsters back, but why can’t they attack and why are their effects negated? Just asking. But since I can normal summon it without tributes, it is just fine for .

Machine Lord Ur is okay. It can attack everything, but sadly 1600 attack isn’t all that much.

Next pack.

Spoiler

CSOC 9

Morphtronic Cord, Psychic Jumper, Morphtronic Caran, Oga Goggles, Morphtronic Monitron, Plant Food Chain, Gigantic Cephalotus, Comrade Swordsman of Landstar, Turbo Synchron

[collapse]

Nothing new. Last pack. And honestly, I don’t really even care what I get. The Black Rose Dragon was already enough.

… but I wouldn’t mind one more Synchro.

Spoiler

CSOC 10

Giant Trap Hole, Morphtronic Magnen, Doppelganger, Wall of Ivy, Gigantic Cephalotus, The White Stone of Legend, Goblin Decoy Squad, Mad Archfiend, Psychic Trigger

[collapse]

Well, no Synchro monster, but Psychic Trigger is new. It isn’t all that good, but collecting for the sake of collecting is fun, so I’ll take it.

Now, just a quick visit to the Factory. I need to get so more copies of Black Rose Dragon so that I can DNA Transplant one of them. Maybe I should even DNA Surgery it to be a Plant-type monster? I’ll consider that.
