CH.250 System Agent
“I apologize for bothering your sleep, but the Goddess requested that I get in contact with you.” An older male figure dressed up in a tuxedo said to as he bowed. By my estimation, he was 70-ish years old, about 175cm tall, and he had short grayed out hair. His eyes were a soft green color and despite his apparent age, he had a real nice posture.
I looked around. I was in a relatively normal looking parlor room, and I was sitting at a small circular table. It was the only table in the room and it had a total of four chairs around it. Other than that, the room had a fireplace, a nice looking chandelier, a handful of tapestries and so paintings. It looked like a relatively normal parlor room you might see in any noble’s mansion, except that I didn’t see any doors leading in or out of the room, nor were there any windows.
“... where am I?” I questioned. I should be sleeping, so this might be a dream, but considering what he just said, I doubt that.
“Yes. I shall explain. This is a space between spaces. The Goddess said I should compare it to your skill, Different Dinsion Factory I believe it was called. This is the space where us, the ones who run the system, can interact with those who hold the System Support like you.” The butler explained. Wait. Is he even a butler? Well, until I know what he is, butler it is.
“... alright. And why am I here again? And may I ask who you are? I assu you know who I am, but for introductions sake, I’m Brian Wood, but just call Brian.” I introduced myself.
“As you wish, Brian. As I said earlier, I’m here at the request of the Goddess, but I cannot say that I didn’t have my own agenda as well. I’ve brought you here for a short discussion. My na, granted to by my lady Ritva, is Aulis.” The butler introduced himself.
… those nas… Ritva. Aulis. They sound familiar… Where do I know them from?
“... alright, Aulis.” I said to bring my thoughts back to here and now. I can think about those nas later. “If the Goddess asked you to get in contact with , I assu it has sothing to do with that system mission reward, right?”
“That is correct. She has requested that I be the contact between the two of you until a ti when you will be able to et.”
“Okay. So, when will that be?”
“It may take ti. I hope you understand that the Goddess is quite busy.”
… yeah. Doesn’t feel like that, when she, or whoever else gives my missions, has ti to sass . … or is the one giving the missions soone like him, instead of the Goddess?
“Alright. So this is just a … warning?”
“At least call it an advance notification.”
“Either way. So, when can she see ?”
“It isn’t that simple. Other than you, she also requested the presence of Holder Lucia and Holder Alice Mana Watchman.”
Alice Mana? … Did Alice take on a second na because of the fusion? Well, it will likely go away after I defuse her.
“So Lua and Alice. Also, what is a holder?”
“It is short for System Support Holder.” Aulis answered.
“... Wait? Alice has the System Support?”
“Yes. She was granted a Basic System Support after she defeated the behemoth.”
“... alright. I an, I thought that might be possible. But why us three?”
“Because you are all Holders, and you know each other.”
“... okay. So, are we going to get in contact like this, until the Goddess will be able to see us or sothing? I guess we will also have to wait until Alice wakes up…”
“That is correct. Now, may I get on with my own business?”
“...sure. Go for it.”
“Thank you. This won’t take long so you may rest for the rest of the night. I’d just like to thank you for your part in bringing the prophecy to life. It was one that really bothered my lady all until her passing, she was worried if it would actually co to be as she saw it.” Aulis said.
“Yeah. No problem.” I answered, before I really let everything sink in. “... wait? Your lady? She is the one who made the prophecy? And she is the one who nad you? … So your lady was the first summoner?”
“That is correct.” He confird.
“... and you were … her System Support, right?” I confird.
“Yes. That is indeed correct.” Aulis confird.
“... then … what are you now?”
“We are called System Agents.” Aulis said. “After the passing of a Holder, their System Support is taken back to the System where they beco an agent. Their duties then depend on their grade, as well as what their Holder did during their life.”
“... okay. And your job is..? Or is it a secret?”
“I have a handful of duties, but the most important one is being responsible for my Ladies' prophecies.” Aulis said. “I believe you don’t know much about Divination magic and specifically the Prophecy spell, do you?”
“No. Not really. I thought it was just foreseeing an event.”
“In its simplest form, yes, but that should be done with the spell ‘Foresight’. Prophet is quite different. When the caster sees an event, generally a catastrophe of so kind, they are able to imagine the solution to it. Then, if people believe in the prophecy, mana will be accumulated by it. Mana that will then be used to bring that prophecy to life. That is the true power of a prophecy, and why I’ve been made to be in charge of my Ladies’ prophecies. I guide the mana they have collected, so it may be used to bring the prophecies to life.”
“... so, let check if I have this right. Your Lady foresaw the behemoth reappearing. And she imagined a blond haired magician taking it down. And because it beca a pseudo legend in Alewatch, enough power was accumulated to make that into reality?”
“Yes. That is what happened.” Aulis confird. “However, my Ladies’ prophecy also didn’t co true. First, the behemoth. What she saw was a lesser behemoth, like the one she fought, not a true behemoth like the one that appeared. Second, the dinsional fissure was not what she saw. Third, the lesser behemoth appeared from the ever forest. Fourth, the magician that took it down used wind magic, not dark magic.”
“... that is a lot of discrepancies.”
“Yes, and those are only the major ones. But I believe I know why. Simply put, it is because of you.”
“... wow. Thanks. Putting all the pressure on .”
“Not in that way. I’ve followed the situation in the ever forest close to Alewatch sowhat closely. I believe the dungeon you eliminated was supposed to give birth to the lesser behemoth. The rogue core of the dungeon becoming the monster core of the lesser behemoth. Then that lesser behemoth goes to Alewatch, where Holder Alice Mana Watchman, well I suppose the fusion wouldn’t have happened, so it would have been individual Alice Watchman. Either way, she would have been taken over by the power of the prophecy. That power granting her access to her dormant wind magic and allowing her to take the lesser behemoth down. That was the closest to what my Lady saw. But none of that could happen, because you eliminated the dungeon.”
“... I see. So instead a dinsional fissure pooped out a true behemoth, huh. I think I got it. But why did that dinsional fissure even show up? What even is a dinsional fissure?”
“That is above my grade. I believe the Goddess will explain that to you.”
“... alright. I guess I’ll look forward to that.”
“Yes. You should.” Aulis said. “Now, I shall return you back into your body so you can rest peacefully for the rest of the night, unless you have sothing else you wish to ask.”
“... Can I get in contact with you later?” I asked.
“I can send System Support Laura the information on how to directly contact . However, this space is one I borrowed, so outside of my duties to the Goddess, I don’t think we will be able to et like this.” Aulis said.
“... alright. Well, I guess thanks, and so on.”
“No. I should be thanking you. While I did everything within my power to bring the prophecy to be, I simply couldn’t have dealt with a true behemoth without your help. So once again, thank you.” Aulis said, as he bowed deeply.
After he said that, my vision went dark.
The next ti light entered my eyes, I was in a more familiar place. Sleeping next to Lua. Well, I already woke up, but still.
I quietly took a look around the room. Lua was sleeping next to and on the floor on the right side of the bed, Agunan was sleeping in the makeshift bed I gave him. He had rolled himself up, kind of like a cat, and wasn’t even using the sleeping bag I gave him. It was honestly kind of funny seeing a man over two ters tall sleeping in that position.
With Laura’s help, I checked, with telekinesis, if Ria was still in the room, and she was. So I woke up a bit early.
Well, I have so things I can do solo, so let’s do that.
First. (Laura, can you show the evolution options I have?) I asked.
(Sure. But I don’t recomnd starting the evolution now.)
(I wasn’t planning to, but I need to take a look at them at so point, so I can choose what I want. Now is as good of a ti as any.)

Alright. So that is the list. Swordsman should be there because I have the Sword Technique skill, but I still didn’t think it would be. Sorcerer is likely because of Space Magic. Telekinesis and Mana Control might help as well. Summoner… Well, that one should be obvious. Even if I don’t have summoning magic.
User of Rare Skills is actually sothing interesting. I guess that is just because of the amount of extra and unique skills I have. Dragon Hearted should be because of Agunan and the Life Dedication thing. And Spiritual Human is likely from the spirits blessing. It is interesting that only the Dragon Hearted and Spiritual Human don’t have (human) suffix in there, but I guess Spiritual Human does have Human in the na.
(Can you tell what these races are good for?) I asked Laura.
(Sure.)
In short, Swordsman has increased HP, strength and slightly increased defense, but no increase in mana or magic. It also helps in getting new skills related to sword wielding. They can also get the racial skill ‘Sword Master’.
Sorcerer has increased mana, magic and slight increase in defense. No HP or strength increase. Of course the acquisition of magic related skills is easier and they can get the Sorcerer’s Determination racial skill. It is also the male equivalent of the Sorceress race Jenna was when she was fused.
Summoner has increased HP, mana and defense, with slight increases in strength and magic. It makes making summoning contracts easier, as well as acquisition of summoning related skills like Summoner’s Protection and stuff. And they get a racial skill called Greater Summoning Magic.
User of Rare Skills is the most generic one there is. It gives a similar increase in each stat and makes the acquisition of extra skills easier. It also cos with the racial skill Jack of All Trades. It doesn’t sound too bad, but I feel like Summoner is better for .
Dragon Hearted is probably the best of them. It cos with a large increase in strength, defense and magic, but no increase in HP or mana. It also gives you the Language Comprehension (draconic), but I already have that, as well as access to Draconic Body and Draconic Magic racial skills.
The last one, Spiritual Human, cos with increased HP, mana and magic. And slight increase in defense and strength. They get along with spirits better and get the racial skill Spirit Magic.
So yeah. I do think Dragon Hearted is easily the best, but Spiritual Human and Summoner aren’t bad either. Even User of Rare Skills is fine. Don’t think Swordsman or Sorcerer is worth it though.
But I won’t pick now, and I’ll discuss this with Lua first. I should probably also ask Agunan about that Dragon Hearted race.
Since the others were still asleep, I jumped into the factory to do so pack openings. I got three new sets yesterday, so might as well. I do want to open so with Lua as well, but I can do a few solo. Sothing like ten or so packs of The Lost Millennium should be fine.
“You don’t have to be solo. I can do it with you.” Laura said, as she appeared next to .
“ too! too!” Fantasia called, as she appeared next to Laura. Soon after her, Tahlia also manifested herself on the control platform.
“Yeah. Let’s do it together then.” I agreed.
We sat down on a couch and I pulled the Pack Opener up onto a big monitor.

“No.” Tahlia just denied the suggestion.
“Who would I be then?” Laura asked, as if she had been left outside a play.
“... Mama can…” Fantasia struggled with an answer so I helped her out a bit.
“Well, there is a Fire Charr, so she can be the Fire Charr.” I said. “But we do need to pull one first.”

After a ti so short I doubt Tahlia could have calculated it, she gave an answer. “22.86% chance of getting it in a pack.”
… I honestly have no clue if that is true or not, but it might be.

Oh, would you look at that? All Charrs in one pack, except fire. I just can’t charm fire today.
Also, Gift of the MartyrEffect: Send 1 monster on your side of the field to the Graveyard. Select 1 monster on your side of the field. The selected monster gains ATK equal to the ATK of the sent monster until the end of this turn. is actually quite interesting for . It is basically useless in normal Yugioh, but for , it is actually quite amazing. Tributing a monster so soone can temporarily hold all of that monster's power could be useful.
And King of the Skull Servants is just a fun card. To use in a ga of Yugioh I an. What is more fun than summoning a level 1 monster with 10,000 plus attack?
