Chapter 103: Stress

"You know I’m not on the pill." We once talked about it. Since we knew we’d eventually have to think about heirs, I was encouraged to test my fertility by being off the pill for at least one cycle.

So it wasn’t like this was the first ti, but knowing he was taking out all the stops was a different animal altogether.

"I know. And that’s even better." Lucian replied before kissing the side of my mouth.

"Why? Do you want a baby?"

"I wouldn’t mind. But it’s because I feel like I’ll suffocate if I don’t do it." Lucian continued tracing my pussy with his thumb, and my hips arched towards him as if asking for more.

Lucian just smiled at that, pleased with his work.

"I need to know that you walk outside with my scent on you. Even better if you could go about your day with my possible progeny."

What the hell? Where was this coming from?

"Are you sick?" My body was flushed red from hearing that.

"I think so. But I don’t care. I really want that."

I stared at him, thinking about my view on this while trying just to ignore my body’s reaction to him.

"Lucian, you realize this isn’t a ga, right?"

I already gave him everything I could possibly give. And it’s not even the idea of him just doing it in , but the principle of allowing him. He would’ve been able to do it without asking, but he chose to ask.

"I know. Why do you think I bothered to ask."

Lucian traced the outline of my spine, and I had to support myself by hanging onto his shoulders.

"You’ll never be able to leave. Even if you don’t knock

up, you’re only way out would be via a casket."

Because he’s planning on leaving a mark, that would be too difficult for

to remove.

"Why wouldn’t I be able to knock you up?" He scrunched his face as if he was being challenged, and I sighed at his idiocy.

"Really, Lucian? That’s what you got from my statent?"

He scoffed before responding, "You’ve always been the only one concerned about your exit strategy. I never even asked for one."

I admit, I was a bit stunned because I really kept that in mind every ti talks about our relationship would co up.

"Excuse , but weren’t you the one that said we’ll remain married for as long as needed?"

"Yeah. Because would you have felt better if I said, ’We’ll remain married for as long as I wanted’?"

Well, no. It would feel wonderful to be wanted, but that’s a very shallow asure. So I glared at him, knowing that he’s got a point.

"What, cat got your tongue?"

"No... But still, this whole thing is an actual commitnt, you know?"

Lucian sighed, his face suddenly facing up to level with mine.

"I’ve always been committed. The day you got my surna, I tied my fate with yours."

"If anything, I should be the one concerned since you’ve taken everything but still seem to be considering ways to leave."

Hey! Why does that sound like I’m the scumbag?!

"You make it sound like I dine and dash!" I snarled at him.

"Wasn’t that your plan?" Lucian looked down just to highlight our current state of undress.

"You brought us here! I was fine with going ho!" I puffed up my cheeks to defend my honor.

"But you riled

up. Now, not only were you planning on dining and dashing, but you were also planning on giving

blue balls?"

"Isn’t that too much?"

This guy! Every ti he opens his mouth, sothing distasteful cos out!

So, I decided to plug it with my lips.

And Lucian smiled as if successful, which earned him a slap on the back.

"I suppose that’s a yes?"

"You better rember your promises." I threatened him as my arms wrapped around his neck.

"Of course. You, on the other hand, should start thinking of nas."

"Hey... You don’t have to work so hard. There’s always a next ti!"

"Too late, babe. Too late." Lucian whispered as he claid what was now rightfully his.

__

And it was really too late for regrets. My husband was a workaholic who excelled at everything he put his mind to.

I had to be carried all the way back to the penthouse because soone worked extra hard.

"What’s really gotten into you? I’ve long known you were insane, but why the sudden possessiveness."

"Was this possessiveness?" He asked, looking genuinely curious.

"What else would that be? One would think you’d turned into so wolf with that kind of behavior."

Lucian was the type who wouldn’t share unless it would be mutually beneficial, but he wasn’t the type to hold on to anything unprofitable.

By now, I was cuddling with Lucian in our actual bed. I had actually gotten here without my knowledge, but I woke up after he bathed

and couldn’t return to sleep.

"You seem to have the energy to be asking such questions. Maybe you can handle more exercise."

But I thwarted his evil attempts at more bed exercises by telling him how the question mattered to .

"Fine. It’s the flowers. I hated it."

"Flowers? What flowers?"

I tried thinking about flowers, but nothing seed to ring a bell.

"That flower delivery that you got from soone who had no business sending you flowers."

"Ah! Those flowers! I threw them away. I wasn’t sure if they were bugged or sothing!"

"So, you’ve decided to go all caveman on

because of so flowers? I didn’t think you knew about jealousy."

"I didn’t. So, you better fix it."

"HAHAHAHA!" I laughed at how serious his face looked.

"Try not to breathe the sa air as him. And there’s also that Lara."

"Lara? Your stalker? What does she have to do with this?"

"She thinks she’s being covert, following you around like a duckling. But we’ve only tolerated it because she’s kept the perfect distance, even for a restraining order."

"That doesn’t really answer the question." I looked at him, moving a stray hair from his forehead.

"She’s now obsessed with you. I had her followed; she’s got boards and boards of your photos everywhere. She’s got a shrine."

"No way!?" I even stood up a bit.

"Stop attracting flies. They’re everywhere. It’s stressing

out."

"Wow. A non-work related stress. That must be terrifying for you?" I chuckled as I moved back into his embrace.

"It’s because you’re too gullible."
