"You want to visit your father, why didn’t you call ? I’m your husband, what does it an that you called Adam instead?" Victor Grant threw the ointnt into the storage cabinet, asking angrily.

He wasn’t foolish; he called Miller over to monitor May Morgan’s every move.

Last night, May accepted the picture Adam sent using Miller’s phone. Due to carelessness, she forgot to delete it. Miller opened it and thought sothing was amiss, and she called Victor Grant early in the morning to inform him.

"I... I didn’t think much of it, I thought you were busy, so..." May Morgan didn’t want Victor Grant to know too much, and stamred out a lie.

Victor Grant scrutinized May for a few monts but saw she was avoiding him, clearly lying. He thought for a while, then sighed softly and said to her, "I’ll arrange a driver for you at the hospital, so it’ll be more convenient for you to go out."

She lied to him, there must be a reason. Since she doesn’t want to speak, he won’t ask, but that doesn’t an he won’t pursue it.

The bizarre pendant that Miller sent him looked familiar, but he couldn’t figure out where he’d seen it. It seed like the one May wore before, but the shape was right, the color was wrong, and the color on it gave a sinister, particularly oppressive feeling.

He guessed the reason why May suddenly went to see Mason Morgan must be related to that Jade Pendant. Rather than forcing May here, he decided to go directly to Mason Morgan for clarification.

"Oh, I have sothing for you!" Victor Grant suddenly rembered sothing, turned around to the back seat, and handed the newly bought phone to May.

"I was careless before, I should have gotten you a phone sooner, otherwise, I wouldn’t have had to search for you so long!"

Victor Grant didn’t buy May a phone to prevent her from contacting people she shouldn’t, but as a result, he couldn’t reach May, which led him to circle Silverwood City, and finally his subordinate told him Adam had a car accident and was in the hospital being rescued, with May accompanying him.

May glanced at the phone he handed over, took it without hesitation, "You should have given a phone earlier."

While May fiddled with the new phone and saved the numbers she rembered one by one, she complained to Victor Grant, "If you’d given a phone earlier, I could have called you for help, and maybe Adam wouldn’t have had an accident."

Victor Grant saw that she saved his own number first, and felt quite delighted; he scratched his head embarrassedly, joking with May, "Now you realize how aweso your husband is? Let tell you, your husband may not have other skills, but he’s great at fighting. If anyone dares to bully you, I’ll punch them one by one."

"Alright, alright, let’s drive back to the villa first. I want to change my clothes." May glanced at her dirty outfit and helplessly asked Victor Grant to shut up.

Victor Grant chuckled awkwardly and didn’t say anything further, he turned around, drove to the villa with May.

As May went inside to shower, Victor Grant took the opportunity, when she left her clothes outside, to reach into her pants pockets, and sure enough, he found that Jade Pendant.

He took out the Jade Pendant and examined it for a long ti but couldn’t discern its nature; the color of the Jade Pendant was particularly eerie, exuding a sense of misfortune, Victor Grant held it in his hand, feeling chilled inside.

Why did May suddenly want this Jade Pendant? What use is it to her? Moreover, why does she want to hide its matter from him? Is there a hidden reason?

Right, Mason Morgan, he must know sothing!

After carefully slipping the Jade Pendant back into May’s pocket, Victor Grant hurriedly left, called his subordinate using his mobile phone.

He instructed soone to "pick" Mason Morgan up from the sanatorium and detained him elsewhere, because he wants to properly inquire this man about the Jade Pendant.

After dealing with all this, May also finished her shower, she wanted soone to pack a few sets of clothes, planning to take them to the hospital for changes, yet feared Victor Grant might not agree, so she asked for his opinion first.

"Erm, can I take a few changes of clothes to the hospital? Just two or three sets, I’ll be back the day after tomorrow." May tried to negotiate gently with Victor Grant.

Given Victor Grant’s usual testy behavior, he would certainly make it difficult for May, but this ti he was exceptionally generous. He waved his hand and imdiately agreed, saying, "Feel free; before we’re married, you’re free."

Hmm?

May looked up at Victor Grant, surprised, wondering if she misheard; since when did this jealous man beco so generous?

Victor Grant felt a bit uneasy being stared at like this by her, so he purposely glared and asked, "Why are you looking at like that? Don’t want to go to the hospital? If not, then stay at ho obediently."

"No, no, thank you!" May smiled awkwardly and quickly thanked Victor Grant.

After having a al at ho, May took her clothes to the hospital. This ti, Victor Grant didn’t drive her but dispatched a dedicated driver for all her travel.

After sending May away, Victor Grant hurriedly drove to the room where Mason Morgan was imprisoned.

Mason Morgan had returned to his usual self now, his thoughts were normal, making the interrogation much smoother.

"Sir, may I know what you called here for? We could talk at the sanatorium, why trouble you to co here?" Mason chuckled awkwardly, shaking his hands bound with ropes, and flatteringly spoke to Victor Grant.

Victor Grant didn’t intend for Mason Morgan to be treated like this, considering he’s about to marry May, in a way, he’s his father-in-law.

"Who made you treat him like this? Untie him now!" Victor Grant glared angrily at those incompetent subordinates and hastily signaled them to go untie Mason.

Mason, observing Victor Grant’s cordial attitude towards him, began to ponder and acted more boldly.

Victor Grant first asked him kindly, "What did May talk about when she visited the sanatorium?"

Mason’s eyes swirled, he quickly waved his hands, lied, "Didn’t say much, she just ntioned your wedding next month and invited to attend."

Victor Grant slightly bent over, his sharp eyes fixed on Mason’s face, his voice was cold, "Are you lying to ?"

"No... no, how dare I?"

Mason looked down, speaking softly.

Victor Grant’s eyes slightly narrowed, coldly asking, "Then let ask you one more thing, why did the Dragon-shaped Jade Pendant change its color? The Jade Pendant May showed you, was it the one Arthur Vance wanted before?"
