The aura of this man was so strong, it made her feel as if there was no place to hide.
"Is the jade pendant with you?" Vincent Vance looked up at May Morgan, his voice cold as he asked.
Jade pendant?
May’s fingers slightly clenched as she hesitated and said, "I don’t know what you’re talking about, what jade pendant?"
The corners of his thin lips slightly curved, and Vincent looked at May with a mirthless smile, knowing she was deliberately lying, yet he wasn’t in a hurry: "If you don’t want to talk, I’ll have your father explain it to ."
As he spoke, May turned her head and saw her father anxiously following behind Jacob Jennings.
Before coming here, Mason Morgan already knew what lanie had done in the bar, but he wasn’t very clear about the fake jade pendant being exposed.
The mont he pushed the door open, Mason saw May standing in front of Vincent, his body stiffening.

"Young Master Vance, it was wrong of my daughter lanie, but she was drunk at the ti and got seduced. I hope you can give her a chance." Mason Morgan explained to Vincent Vance, his face drenched in sweat.
Before Vincent could speak, Jacob Jennings on the side disdainfully questioned, "Mason Morgan, do you think the Vance Family is a place where you can do whatever you want just because you’re drunk?"
Vincent slowly extended his hand, signaling Jacob to stop talking. He looked at Mason Morgan, his hawk-like eyes sharp and frightening, making Mason tremble all over.

"Young Master Vance, I, I know, but lanie’s incident was truly an accident, she, her love for you is real, she just didn’t know any better, which is why..."
"This matter ends here." Vincent said coldly, his eyes, however, fleetingly glanced over May: "The marriage arrangent between the Vance and Morgan Families can continue, but soone else will replace her in marriage!"
Hmm? Soone will replace her in marriage?
A sense of dread imdiately swept over May, her eyes widened in horror, she stared intently at Vincent’s face, afraid he would say she should replace her sister in marrying him.
"Who does Young Master Vance want to replace in the marriage?" Mason Morgan seed to also realize the issue, his eyes constantly glancing over at May, making her feel weak and almost unable to stand.
"Whoever has the jade pendant, I will marry." Vincent’s scrutinizing gaze fell on Mason Morgan and May, his tone icy.
The jade pendant again...
May summoned her courage and loudly said to Vincent, "You’re mistaken, I don’t have the jade pendant your Vance Family wants."
"Is that so?" Vincent’s lips slightly moved, a cold smile slowly surfacing, "Since you don’t have the jade pendant, then your Morgan Family is deceiving . Mason Morgan, can you bear the consequences of deceiving ?"
The intimidating question was enough to make Mason Morgan break out in a cold sweat, his body trembled like a leaf.
After a full minute, he sighed helplessly, "Young Master Vance, the real jade pendant is indeed with May. I lied about it being with lanie because..."
"No need to explain, since you admit the jade pendant is with May, that’s enough." Vincent waved his hand coldly, indicating Mason could keep quiet, "If you don’t want your eldest daughter to die miserably, use your younger daughter to pay the debt. As for the old master, you know what to say."
Finally obtaining Vincent’s pardon, Mason Morgan wiped his cold sweat vigorously and repeatedly promised Vincent, "I know, I know, Young Master Vance, I’ll explain everything to the old master, don’t worry."
