May Morgan couldn’t explain much to Victor Grant, because the matter was too embarrassing. Who would believe it, even if they did, who would accept it?

May Morgan didn’t want to talk too deeply with Victor Grant, so she took the ultrasound check paper and quietly went to the back of the line.

Victor Grant saw how hard it was for her, so he took the paper from her hand and then pushed her onto a nearby bench to sit down.

"Let stand in line for you, you’re too big-bellied, it’s unsightly." Victor Grant set May Morgan down and teased her on purpose.

Actually, May Morgan was only one month pregnant, her belly was still flat, nowhere near big-bellied. However, Victor Grant’s words may be annoying, but the person is kind. Seeing him, six-foot-three tall, awkwardly standing in line among the pregnant won, May Morgan found it quite amusing.

Victor Grant is indeed the type with a cold exterior and warm heart. Previously, she thought he was particularly harsh with won, even sowhat brutal. But now it seed she was wrong.

A man has a tender side, but only for soone special to him, it seems.

After a long wait, their number finally ca up. Victor Grant hurriedly pulled May Morgan to the ultrasound room. Before entering, the doctor asked Victor Grant if he was May Morgan’s husband. Victor Grant was just about to speak when May Morgan quickly explained to the doctor, "He’s not, he’s a friend."

"Oh, then please wait outside. I’ll call you when it’s done." Only the husband of the pregnant woman is permitted to see the baby’s developnt, but outsiders are not. The doctor sternly issued an eviction notice to Victor Grant.

Victor Grant scratched his head and glanced reluctantly at the doctor. Considering it was a hospital, he didn’t say anything and turned to leave.

After he left, the doctor instructed May Morgan to lie on the bed, pull down her pants slightly, and applied a cold gel on her belly.

"How many months?" the doctor asked May Morgan.

"A little over a month." May Morgan kept nervously watching the machine beside her, but unfortunately couldn’t see anything, only a vague mass.

The hospital they went to is a city hospital, so the equipnt is quite advanced. But since they had an ordinary checkup, there were no privileges. The doctor spoke to her coldly.

"Doctor, can you see my child’s condition? I want to know if he is deford." May Morgan ca to the hospital intending to check the baby’s developnt, so she quickly pressed the doctor.

The doctor slid the device across May Morgan’s belly and said, "It’s only been one month, it’s not clear yet. We can only know the basic condition. So far, your embryo is developing properly, and the fetal heart is stable. As for whether the child is deford, that will be checked after more than three months, once the basic features have developed. Of course, the later the check, the clearer the view."

The doctor’s words were basically useless. Of course, May Morgan wasn’t worried about the fetal heart; she was concerned whether the child would look human. What if she had a dragon?

"So, can we at least see the basic condition? It’s human-shaped, right?" May Morgan persisted in asking the doctor.

The doctor looked at May Morgan with an exasperated expression, unsure of what to say, her gaze like May Morgan had done sothing hugely inappropriate: "Isn’t that obvious? Unless you’re carrying a monster? The deformity scan is just to see if the limbs and features are developing properly. Do you understand reproductive isolation?"

May Morgan widened her eyes in surprise. What did she an by that? Why casually bring up reproductive isolation, as if suggesting she did sothing she shouldn’t have with another species?

"Of course I know, I’m just asking. Could the child be a molar pregnancy or a deford fetus? What are you thinking?"

May Morgan was quite angry with the doctor, so she retorted back.

The doctor was used to speaking bluntly, and since May Morgan had a regular checkup, she naturally felt superior. Offended by May Morgan’s insult, she snapped and threw the equipnt aside, scolding May Morgan: "What’s your problem, girl? You’re the one asking if your pregnancy is human. Am I wrong? Who knows what you youngsters are up to these days?"

The doctor might have argued with her husband at ho, putting her in a bad mood, unable to bear anything unpleasant. But May Morgan wasn’t a pushover either, could she let this slide?

She abruptly sat up from the bed and shouted at the foul-mouthed woman: "What do you an? It’s my first pregnancy; is it a cri to not understand? Is it wrong to ask if the baby’s developing normally? You’re full of filthy thoughts, so of course, you think others are as filthy as you!"

"You!" The doctor had never seen such a quarrelso patient and was about to explode.

Victor Grant, standing by the door, seed to hear the argunt inside. He imdiately kicked open the door to the ultrasound room and yelled at the doctor: "Dare you try saying anything again?"

The woman was frightened by Victor Grant’s aura and shut her mouth, no longer speaking. Victor Grant wasn’t soone to take losses. Although the doctor was silent, she couldn’t escape Victor Grant’s wrath. Grabbing her lab coat, he swung it with a loud slap.

The slap stunned everyone inside and outside the room. Seeing trouble, the doctors and nurses at the door quickly ran to get security and the director.

May Morgan didn’t want to escalate the situation, so she promptly grabbed Victor Grant’s hand and persuaded him, "Alright, alright, stop making a scene, let’s go?"

They snuck out for this checkup. If the matter got bigger, Vincent Vance would surely find out, and she’d end up locked in the doghouse.

Still fuming, Victor Grant pointed at the doctor, threatening, "You think you can be a doctor with this attitude? Do you know who I am?"

The doctor had no idea who Victor Grant was and didn’t expect she had just encountered the wife of the Vance Group’s CEO. If she knew, she’d never speak recklessly.

"I don’t care who you are. You’re causing trouble; I’ve already notified the police. You’ll be arrested soon, you know!" The female doctor defiantly taunted May Morgan and Victor Grant.

Victor Grant’s anger flared uncontrollably. He rolled up his sleeves, just about to punch the arrogant older woman, but May Morgan suddenly grabbed his arm and forcibly dragged him to the door.

"Enough! If we escalate, how do I explain to Vincent when we get back?" May Morgan was furious. What a ss this was? Sneaking out for a checkup, only to encounter a reckless doctor. The doctor being unreliable was one thing, but Victor Grant being even more so. If the police did co, how could she face Vincent with any dignity?
