Of course not. As Vincent Vance’s wife, what’s the first reaction when you find out your husband is having an affair? Surely, you’d storm to the scene to catch them in the act.
And if she goes out now, could there be an ambush waiting for her?
The answer is definitely yes!
But, knowing that Vincent was drugged and lying on lanie Morgan’s bed, if she cowered at ho without doing anything, wouldn’t that be too irresponsible to Vincent?
Moreover, lanie Morgan has always had ulterior motives for Vincent. If she doesn’t go to catch them, what if this bitch really does end up with her husband?
No, she must catch them, but how to do it requires skill.
After May Morgan thought through the whole incident, she backed out of those photos and then found Victor Grant’s number in her contacts and dialed it.
Not sure if Victor Grant had a very active nightlife, but it was already eleven o’clock at night. May thought he wouldn’t pick up so quickly, but he answered after just two rings.
Still, his teasing tone never stopped.
"Hey lady, is it a long sleepless night? Want your brother to co keep you company?"
May Morgan smiled faintly and said deliberately, ’Sure, since my husband isn’t ho, why don’t you co over?’
"Huh?" Victor Grant thought he misheard, imdiately sat up straight on the sofa, and asked incredulously, ’Do you know what you’re saying?’
In his mind, May was the kind of woman who couldn’t take wicked jokes, nor liked others making such jokes, so every ti he teased her, she would be hopping mad, almost wishing to slap him dead.
For this reason, Victor Grant always intentionally spoke in a teasing tone when talking to May. He didn’t know why, just really enjoyed teasing her, the angrier she got, the happier he was.
"I know, my husband is rolling in bed with another woman. Why should I keep myself just for him? Victor Grant, tell , do you have feelings for ? If you do, co over!"
May’s suggestive words made Victor Grant’s blood surge, almost getting aroused.
"You’re not joking with , are you?" Victor Grant swallowed hard, his tone obviously becoming more restrained.
May laughed lightly and spoke to him seriously, "Half-joking. My husband is indeed rolling in bed with soone tonight. Their adulterous photos were just sent to ."
"So, should I co keep you company?" Victor Grant asked cautiously again.
May did want him to co, but not for that. She had no feelings for Victor and certainly didn’t dare to provoke him easily.
"Victor Grant, I ca to you this late because I actually need sothing from you." May didn’t dare joke wickedly with Victor anymore and quickly said seriously.
Victor Grant heard her tone suddenly turn serious, knowing her earlier words were a joke, and couldn’t help feeling a bit disappointed: "Go ahead."
"My husband is now rolling in bed with my sister at my parents’ house. Can you do a favor and take to catch them?"
Victor Grant sank back lazily into the sofa: "Why should I help you?"
"I’ll pay you, how much do you want? I’ll give you as much as you want, okay?" May quickly added.
Victor Grant’s lips curved with a disappointed smile, deliberately asking May, ’How much can you give ? Last ti, it was your husband who paid. Now, with your relationship like this, and you’re taking soone to catch them, can he still help you pay back?’
It’s common sense, of course, Victor thought. Catching them would an not giving Vincent any way out, aning May no longer held any position in Vincent’s eyes. No, from the mont Vincent rolled in bed with lanie, he already didn’t care about May.
Thinking of this, Victor suddenly felt a bit of heartbreak and advised May, ’Lady, with your man having done so much, why tear his face apart? I say, while he’s not completely cold-hearted to you, if you can get so money, do so quickly. Then, if things really beco unbearable in the future, you have so money when you leave, right?’
Victor was very realistic and his advice made sense, but now the issue was, May knew Vincent hadn’t wronged her, yet she couldn’t tell Victor outright.
If she said she wanted to use his strength to rescue her husband, Victor, with his temper, would probably hang up imdiately, and his phone would be off the next ti she called.
Knowing the danger lurking outside, would May dare to rush there alone? Wouldn’t that be foolish?
"I understand what you’re saying, but I can’t swallow this anger, you know? Giving him a clean person heart and soul, him not being sincere is one thing, but cheating while I’m pregnant, what is that? That’s a huge insult to , you understand? I might not want his money, but I want his reputation ruined. I want everyone to know that it was Vincent Vance who wronged ."
May feigned an angry look and bitterly pleaded with Victor, ’Victor Grant, I know we aren’t exactly friends, in your eyes, I might an nothing, so asking for your help is really presumptive of .’
"No, no, no, don’t say that, hearing you say such things makes feel awful." Victor couldn’t stand May making herself feel so aggrieved, and his heart softened instantly.
"Sigh, fine, I’ll take so people over with you. Why are you being so relentless, huh? Vincent doesn’t want you; why tear the net apart?" Victor genuinely felt sorry for May being abandoned by Vincent, complaining again: ’He’s really sothing, not appreciating a woman as good as you, no problem, if Vincent doesn’t want you, I still do.’
No idea if Victor was sincere, but his words made May blush and feel incredibly uncomfortable.
She always thought Victor indeed had a bit of interest in her, so he often appeared before her. But she knew, she belonged to Vincent, and her heart must also belong to Vincent. As long as Vincent didn’t wrong her, she shouldn’t ss around with other n.
But now, what else could she do but seek Victor’s help?
"If you can co, that’s great. Bring more people, expose him then. I want him to know the consequences of wronging ."
Hearing Victor’s agreent, May felt much more at ease inside,
After hanging up Victor’s call, she hurriedly dressed, and got ready. Vincent had already been drugged by lanie, ti was short, and she had to rush over quickly.
