"Vincent, what do you want? My father won’t let you get away with this."
"You’ll find out if your father will let get away with it once you’re dead. Do it!" Without a mont’s hesitation, Vincent decisively instructed Jacob Jennings.
Jacob grabbed Adam Owens by the arm and pushed him out, imdiately causing Adam to scream in terror. Seeing this, Jacob didn’t dare loosen his grip, but Adams’s body was now hanging mid-air as he was dragged along.
"May will be my woman from now on. If you promise not to bother her again, I can let you go." Having sufficiently taught Adam a lesson, Vincent finally spoke slowly, threatening him.
Adam closed his eyes, his body finally starting to tremble uncontrollably, "I’ve been with May for five years, what gives you the right..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Jacob deliberately let his grip sink again, this ti leaving more than half of Adam’s body hanging in the air, with only the strength in Jacob’s hand supporting him.
"I-I won’t bother May anymore." Concerned for his life, Adam finally broke down and shouted loudly.
"Good sense." Vincent smiled coldly, casting a glance at Jacob. Seeing this, Jacob finally pulled Adam back from mid-air.
Once back on the ground, Adam imdiately began gasping for air, the near-death experience had almost taken his life.
It wasn’t that he was cowardly, but he knew that if he truly died, then May would inevitably end up with Vincent.
Seeing Adam was safe, May wanted to rush over to check on him, but Vincent grabbed her and dragged her downstairs.
"What are you doing?" May angrily struggled.
"You have nothing to do with him anymore," Vincent coldly tossed this sentence, dominantly leading May back to the first-floor hall.
"You forced it, you made this happen, if it weren’t for you, he wouldn’t have agreed to break up with !" May was furious with Vincent; he thought that this would fulfill his wishes? Even if Adam didn’t want her anymore, she wouldn’t agree to marry him.
"If he could choose to give you up in the face of death, then this man didn’t love you that much after all." Vincent cast a disdainful glance, cutting straight to the heart of the matter.
May was rendered speechless by his words, unsure how to argue back, in truth, Adam’s reaction earlier had been sowhat disappointing. She was willing to give up such a precious Jade Pendant to save him, yet he easily gave up on their relationship just to stay alive?
"Co sit." Seeing May’s dejected expression, Vincent slightly moved his lips, gently patting the empty spot beside him, signaling her to co over and sit down.
May raised her head to glance at Vincent, pouting as she turned her face away, pretending not to hear.
"Still not getting it?" Vincent folded his arms, looking at May in her disheveled state, expressing disappointnt and saying, "Or do you want to be humiliated in public once again?"
"You..." Vincent’s words left May utterly humiliated, wishing she could find a hole to crawl into.
He knew? He knew about Adam’s advances at the entrance to her apartnt complex? No wonder his n appeared so tily; they must have been keeping watch on her!
"Co here!" Vincent extended his hand again, grabbing May’s wrist and pulling her to sit on the couch beside him.
A glance at the red marks on May’s neck from Adam’s intrusion, a deep glint appeared in Vincent’s eyes.
"Bring the ointnt," he turned and instructed the servant.
