499: Chapter 499: The Young Master Qin was driven mad by the sneak attack from Xueqiu 499: Chapter 499: The Young Master Qin was driven mad by the sneak attack from Xueqiu “ow, ow, ow…”

“ow, ow…ow, ow, ow…”

The sound was getting louder, and very familiar.

So familiar that Qin i’s paralyzed body in bed involuntarily shrank.

At that instant, the white figure outside the window appeared again.

Under the moonlight, the contours of its white form were clearly visible this ti.

It was Yaoyao’s beloved pet, the white cat Xueqiu, unmistakably.

The little fellow hovered outside the window, its green eyes intensely focusing on Qin i, displaying a pitiful look of distress.

It lifted up its fluffy white paws, and scratched hard against the glass window.

Sharp claws clashed against the glass, creating a cacophony of friction.

“ow, ow, ow!!!”

The anxious cat’s cry traversed the glass window, reaching the ears of Qin i inside the room.

The sound was just too annoying.

He turned over, rolled onto his stomach, picked up his pillow, and placed it over his head to block out the noise.

This carefree behavior, was indeed enviable.

Had it been a character in a horror drama, they would have been startled awake by the noise, and consud by curiosity to assess the situation as soon as possible.

Often succumbing to curiosity, they investigate, beco injured by the Puppet, and then a series of horrifying scenes ensues.

If everyone reacted with the common logic displayed by Qin i, those who enjoy such drama would be deprived of such exciting encounters.

“ow, ow, ow!!!”

Xueqiu was still caterwauling outside the window, sounding so pitiful.

The night watchman downstairs heard the continuous cat calls outside.

Fearing that the cat may disturb the Qin Family and result in their reprimands the next morning, he put on a jacket and went out.

The sound of the door opening alerted Xueqiu, who was hovering outside the window.

It’s white form disappeared in a flash from the front of the window.

As the servant opened the door, Xueqiu’s white body shot into the room like a ghost, through the door’s opening.

The servant standing at the door was clueless as he peered out into the darkness with the help of the streetlights outside, scanning his surroundings but not spotting any stray cat.

Even the owing had vanished without a trace.

After waiting for a while, hearing no ws and seeing no signs of a stray cat, the servant went back into the house.

On the second floor.

So faint noises could be heard at the entrance of Qin i’s bedroom, as if the door was being gently pushed open from the outside.

The door opened slightly, and Xueqiu’s adorable figure slipped into the room.

Its green eyes scanning the room, its chilly gaze settling on Qin i lying on the bed.

With graceful, silent steps, Xueqiu approached the bedside.

Yielding slightly, it jumped straight onto the bed.

“ow——”

Xueqiu let out a soft ow next to Qin i.

Qin i, lying on the bed, stirred, as if disturbed.

Xueqiu’s paws remained still upon the clean bedsheet.

After an unknown length of ti passed, Qin i’s steady breathing indicated he had fallen asleep and finally, Xueqiu moved.

Xueqiu stepped lightly, carefully approaching the hand Qin i had around the pillow.

Its white tail gently nudged against Qin i’s wrist.

At this, Qin i imdiately reacted.

He tossed away his pillow, picked up Xueqiu, draped it over his shoulder, and even casually petted Xueqiu a couple of tis.

All these movents, as though they had been perford hundreds, thousands of tis, were smooth and natural.

Xueqiu, currently being embraced, had its whole body of snowy white fur standing on end.

At the mont, Qin i was lying face down, his arms tightly wrapped around Xueqiu’s fluffy body, propped up against his shoulder.

Xueqiu, the cat, dare not move at all, its verdant eyes wide open in fear.

Slowly, it lowered its head to see Qin i with his eyes tightly shut, and the puff of its fur gradually…

slowly returned to its normal state.

Gradually, Xueqiu relaxed its body.

Its fluffy physique found a cozy spot nestled in the crook of Qin i’s shoulder, curling itself into a comfortable ball.

Thus, the human and the cat spent a tranquil night on the soft, cozy bed.

The next day, upstairs in the Qin residence.

“Ahhhhhhh!!!!”

“Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!”

A sharp and incredibly mournful scream resonated from Qin i’s room.

Both Qin Anguo and his son Qin Jingcen, being people with regular routines, were already awake.

They sat in the living room reading newspapers or watching financial news, not bothering each other.

Hearing their son’s (younger brother’s) screams from upstairs, both father and son simultaneously looked up.

They leaped up and dashed upstairs at lightning speed, arriving in front of Qin i’s bedroom.

The bedroom door was slightly ajar, and without a second thought, Qin Jingcen forcefully kicked open the door,

Inside, a comical scene unfolded before his eyes, clearly visible to Qin Anguo standing behind him too.

“Don’t, don’t co any closer!”

Qin i sat at the head the bed, hugging the quilt tightly, threatening a cute creature squatting on the other end of the bed.

“ow!”

Xueqiu, who was squatting at the edge of the bed, paid no heed to Qin i’s warning.

Standing up and shaking its fur, it began to stride towards him with an elegant, high-handed, and superior deanor.

“Ahhh, don’t, don’t co over here!!”

Qin i was on the verge of insanity.

He had not slept well the previous night and woke up feeling aching all over.

Before he could open his eyes, he sensed sothing off.

Why was there sothing warm and fuzzy against his waist?

As he lifted up the quilt, to his surprise, his soul nearly leaped out in fear.

Curled up next to his waist, sleeping soundly, was the white creature that had previously abducted him, the cat demon Xueqiu.

It also had a puppet master, who was dead as a doornail.

A long-dead female puppet wanted to be his sister.

The disgraceful past few days flashed through Qin i’s mind, causing him to break out in goosebumps.

His sharp, high-pitched scream almost toppled the roof, attracting Qin Anguo and Qin Jingcen downstairs.

Qin Anguo was oblivious to the cat demon Xueqiu and only saw a cute little creature.

He walked into the room and asked Qin i, “What happened?”

Seeing his father approach, Qin i, frightened out of his wits, saw hope.

He pointed at the tiny yet adorable cat, who halted at a distance less than a ter away from him, and cried out in terror, “Dad, save , save quickly, it’s trying to take away!”

Compared to the adorable posture of Xueqiu, Qin i’s words causing Qin Anguo and Qin Jingcen to raise an eyebrow.

How could such a lovely cat possibly want to take Qin i away?

The poor boy was definitely still in a dream.

That was what Qin Anguo and his son Qin Jingcen were thinking.

Qin Anguo stepped forward, pulled the quilt out of Qin i’s arms, and dragged him up, “Stinky boy, stop creating chaos, get up now!”

Qin i clung onto Qin Anguo’s arm, darted to the ground, and hid behind him.

Frightened, he said, “Dad, it’s true!

The cat is trying to take away!”

Unfortunately, neither Qin Jingcen nor Qin Anguo believed his words.

The eldest son of the Qin family walked to the bed and gently picked up Xueqiu who was sitting on the bed.

His tender eyes t Xueqiu’s green ones, noticing that the cat was a rare breed with expressive eyes.

Qin Jingcen stroked Xueqiu’s white fur, unable to let go, “Whose cat is this, that it got lost?”
