23: Chapter 23 Ruanruan, You Murdered Your Brother!
It’s true that Han Xian is not young anymore, but her face doesn’t look like that of a mother to a child in his twenties.
Walking on the street, people would assu she’s a woman in her early thirties.
Han Xian’s bottom line is her face and age.
Qin i steps on both of these boundaries and still manages to display a deservedly punchable expression.
“Aunt Han doesn’t look too well, has she missed her recent Collagen sotherapy Injection?
At your age, I don’t think there’s a need to fuss about it anymore.
The old man hasn’t been well and has been conserving his energy.
Even if you do make yourself look good, it would be pointless.
You should know that he has the will but not the strength…”
“Qin i!”
Han Xian finally loses her patience, sternly interrupts him.
Her face turns dark, her gaze coldly fixed on the young man in front of her.
“Here, there, see, calling my na sounds more pleasant.”
Qin i grins mischievously, his face an image of audacity.
“Whoa!
What’s all the fun about, what’s the occasion today?”
Qin Ruan leans against the wall inside the room, her exquisite face filled with playful intent, twirling her car key in her finger.
When Qin i began teasing Han Xian, she was already there.
Seeing Han Xian about to argue with her brother, she finally made her presence felt.
Qin i looks in her direction.
Qin Ruan in a casual pose at the door, a familiar yet innate aura of defiance.
The irreverent and audacious attitude, isn’t it exactly like his own?
Shock and disbelief captured in Qin i’s eyes.
His sister is close by, yet she feels both familiar and unfamiliar to him.
Qin Ruan’s ticulously crafted face reveals a radiant smile, an air of unruly indulgence, her beautiful eyes revealing a hint of slyness.
Gone is the estrangent on her face, eting her beaming eyes, a subtle tremble arises within Qin i, stirring up anticipation.
Despite the whirlpool of emotions in his heart, Qin i maintains his composure.
He unconsciously twiddles his fingers.
Realizing his nervous action, he puts his hands in his pockets, circling around Han Xian in a carefree manner, making his way towards Qin Ruan with a strut that suggests the world revolves around him.
Standing in front of Qin Ruan, Qin i flashes a roguish grin: “Ruanruan, it’s been half a month since I’ve seen you, it’s a rarity for you to be back.
Has the sun rose from the west instead?”
The young man standing in front of her looks handso, audacious, nonchalant yet irresistibly charming.
Although his eyes reveal concern when he looks at her, his words feel like they can be taken or left, making it hard to distinguish false from true.
Qin Ruan curves her lips into a smile, her eyes twinkling with amusent.
Start over everything anew.
This Qin i, she hasn’t seen him like this in a very long ti.
No longer is he the desolate man from their previous life, losing his spiritual rundown, becoming an object of both pity and sorrow.
He’s as he was before, the rebellious youth, all audacity, no grief, no pain.
Qin Ruan’s eyes filled with mirth, she abruptly stops twirling the car key in her hand.
In the next mont, she throws the car keys towards Qin i.
Qin i, on seeing her about to throw it, his expression instantly turns into one of caution.
He could easily dodge Qin Ruan’s attack.
But, he doesn’t dodge, letting the car keys hit him on the chest.
He even thrusts his chest forward a bit when the keys hit him, fearing they might fall to the ground halfway.
“Ouch!”
Qin i lets out a wail as he catches the keys just before they hit the ground.
Holding his hit chest, he quickly steps back.
His expression changes to one of agony and betrayal, he points his trembling finger at Qin Ruan: “Ruanruan, are you trying to murder your own brother!”
