When the elevator reached the business departnt, the door opened. Before Gu Chu could walk in, there was a round of applause. “Good morning, CEO Gu.”

Her colleagues applauded enthusiastically again. “Congratulations on your promotion, director.”
Gu Chu smiled. “I’ll treat all of you to afternoon tea.”
The colleagues cheered again.
The elevator door opened again and Uncle Li appeared. “Ahem.”
Everyone imdiately stopped laughing. Gu Chu called out, “Director Li.”
Uncle Li did not smile. “You’re quite happy?”

How was she supposed to answer that?
Uncle Li pressed the button for the floor. “Gu Chu, co with to the office.”

The secretary kept quiet. “Are we too happy? Will it cause trouble for the director?”
Another colleague shook his head. “Who knows... Director Li has always disliked our director.”
Actually, Gu Chu thought the sa way. She already thought of a way to deal with him.
She was just going with the flow.
Unexpectedly, Uncle Li poured her a glass of water and handed it to her. A smile appeared on his stern face. “Why are you so nervous? Have you forgotten how you used to talk to ?”

Uncle Li also said, “I’m going to et an important client this afternoon. Co with and let everyone et the new president of the Gu Corporation.”
Gu Chu agreed readily.
In the afternoon, Gu Chu went out with Uncle Li.
The place where they t the client was a famous old teahouse in Haicheng City. Apart from introducing her to the client, Uncle Li also taught her so things, which benefited her a lot.
The teahouse had stairs on each side. They ca down from the left, and two people ca down from the right.
One of them looked over and quickly said, “Oh my, that seems to be Director Li of the Gu Corporation. CEO Feng, do you mind if I go and say hello?”
Feng Jia stopped in his tracks and looked up to see Gu Chu.
She was wearing sothing different from what she wore when she went out in the morning. Perhaps she was going to et a client, so she changed into a more professional outfit.
“Of course not,” Feng Jia said gently, “Let’s go together.”
That person called out, “Director Li.”
Uncle Li looked up. “Director Qiao.”
Director Qiao walked over with a smile and shook hands with Uncle Li. “What a coincidence. I just saw you from behind.”
“It is.” Uncle Li gestured to Gu Chu. “Let introduce you to our new President Gu.”
Director Qiao looked at Gu Chu and thought that she was beautiful. He had thought that she was his secretary. “President Gu?”
“She’s the daughter of CEO Gu and is about to beco the vice president of the company. There will be many opportunities to et her in the future,” Uncle Li said. “I hope you will take care of her in the future.”
Director Qiao ca to a sudden realization and shook hands with Gu Chu. “President Gu looks so young. She’s really like her father.”
He thought of Feng Jia and turned to look at him. “This is CEO Feng. Do you know him?”
Gu Chu looked over and smiled. “We’re quite close.”
