"Will you listen to what I will say?" Su Hui asked again to make sure.
Lu Feng nodded and said calmly. "Hmm! As I said earlier, you can say whatever you want, mother."
Leaning forward from the headboard of the bed to hold her son’s hand to caress it, she said, "After so long I saw care for in your eyes and I can’t tell you how happy I am."
"Hmm!" Not knowing what to say, Lu Feng humd and waited for his mother to talk. "You can say what you want to say to , mother. I am here."
Smiling as her son was ready to hear her, she spoke, "I know my son is the most talented person in the family and he has an ability to do anything if he wants to." She paused and Lu Feng continued looking at her silently waiting for her to say further, pretending as if he didn’t know what she was about to say.
"I want you to take over the Lu Corporation and it’s not just because you are my son, it’s because I know you are the deserving one and since the start you should have been the one to do it." she looked at him to get his reaction to know what he was thinking.
"Hmm!" Lu Feng just humd showing he was listening to her attentively.
"So will you really listen to and do what I will ask you to?" she asked again, being hopeful.
"I am listening, mother?" Lu Feng replied but there was no expression on his face as if he was just listening to her but there was no opinion of his own.
She was happy to hear his reply and said, "I know you love Lu Qiang so much and I won’t ever ask you to hurt him even by a mistake by doing sothing that will hurt him but if you prove to everyone that you are capable than him and then you can challenge his position as a president. I am sure, there are people who would want to support you."
"Hmm!" Lu Feng humd again.
Su Hui continued. "As much as you love him as a brother, Lu Qiang loves you too so he won’t say anything to see that his brother is more capable than him and he can lead the Lu Corporation. He will ultimately step down from the position and you can get it even without much hassle. Even if there is a condition when few will oppose you, we have a backup to support you from my mother’s family and your sister-in-law’s family."
It looked like Su Hui already planned everything in her mind what to do and she just waited for Lu Feng to co to her and she can tell him everything if he is ready to listen to her.
"Hmm!" Lu Feng again responded the sa. Lu Han looked at Lu Feng who was sitting there with his mind blank and he understood what his younger brother was doing and it made him feel worried again.
Sensing Lu Feng’s silence as his approval, Su Hui said, "Tomorrow we will et few investors in the company who are good friends of Qin Xiu’s father and we can decide what to do further."
"I can’t." Lu Feng said and his mother who was so excited a mont before felt puzzled.
"I can’t co with you anywhere mother," Lu Feng replied and Lu Han pressed his temples and he knew what his brother was going to say further.
"But just now you said you will listen to , Lu Feng."
"I did listen to you, mother."
"Then why are you saying that you won’t co with ?"
"I said I will listen to you but I didn’t say I will do it too." Lu Feng replied and Lu Han was not shocked at all to hear it.
"You fooled your mother." Su Hui exclaid.
"I didn’t. You asked to listen to you and I did without even interrupting you, mother." Lu Feng replied.
It made her feel frustrated and she didn’t know what to say to him so Lu Feng spoke. "Mother, now you listen to ."
She looked at him to know what he wanted to say but she didn’t expect him to say anything that she would like to hear.
"Mother, I know what you want the most. You want to see your sons at the position where everyone will respect them and bow in front of them. You want to be a proud mother who can show the world that her sons are no less than others. You want to brag about their achievents, Right?"
Su Hui nodded and said, "And it’s because I know my sons are capable."
"Do you really think and trust in our capabilities, mother?" Lu Feng asked.
"I do," she said, waiting to hear him further.
"Then give a few more years and I will give you all you want. I promise you to fulfill all your dreams if you are ready to wait."
A smile painted on her lips. "Of course, I can wait."
"But..." he said and stopped while both Su Hui and Lu Han looked at him.
"But I won’t do it in Lu corporation. I won’t ever be a part of anything related to Lu Corporation," said Lu Feng that disappointed his mother.
"What? Then how are you going to do it?" she asked, as his words shocked her.
"You said you trust in my capabilities then you should not ask this." Lu Feng was still calm and he looked as if he was the calst and patient person in this world and he knew his mother was not an easy person to deal with.
"When you have everything ready in front of you, then why do you want to go through the trouble, Lu Feng?" she asked.
