Noticing, how Jiang Yang had halted, Lu Qiang was about to ask, "What happ…."
"Shh!" Jiang Yang asked him to keep quiet looking inside the room. Lu Qiang followed his sight and saw Lu Feng was sitting inside the room in one chair beside the patient's bed. He was holding elder Lu's hands with his forehead resting on it. One could see how emotional Lu Feng was. The whole ti, in front of others he kept quiet and maintained calm expressions but what was in his heart was about to co out when no one was around.
Both stood silent outside of the door looking at him, just to see Lu Feng finally open his eyes and raise his head up to look at his grandpa. A voice ca out of the choked throat. "Grandpa, to date I have done everything to keep your dream alive and tried my best that I won't ever co in the way of what you dreamt of. I know what I am today is just because of you and to show how thankful I am, there was only one way and I had to do it. I sacrificed things even though it hurt so much but for nothing is more important than you, not even my dreams and my life. I have done everything to keep you smiling though I hurt you indirectly to make it happen. As I put all my efforts to make you happy, you have no right to make sad, so stop being like this and wake up."
Saying this, the tears which were struggling to find their way out from his eyes, finally got their way out and Lu Feng ended up crying. "If you continue to be like this, I might forget what I had decided for a long ti and followed it religiously. If you don't want to do it, you have to wake up as you and your dream is the reason I did everything." Saying he closed his eyes and went back to how he was earlier, holding grandpa's hand in his hand and resting his forehead on it. He was crying. Lu Qiang and Jiang Yang heard it all and both looked at each other. So many things ca into their minds after hearing what Lu Feng said but for now, both decided to be calm. "Let's go from here for a while," Jiang Yang said and Lu Qiang nodded. Lu Feng never cried easily. He always maintained his aloof side showing he was not aware of what was happening around and he didn't care even if he was aware. He pretended to be busy in his own world. Last ti Lu Qiang saw him crying for Jiang Yuyan and now this one was the second ti. He knew, in the past, Lu Feng was very close to the grandpa even more than himself. The words Lu Feng said there, made him think about what he was talking about, Grandpa's dream and his sacrifices. The way he talked, it sounded as if grandpa owed him sothing and he was repaying it back to grandpa.
"He was talking about sacrificing things and I know he sacrificed. Initially, I thought he did it just 17:01
because he wanted to go his own way but now I think I was wrong," Lu Qiang replied feeling bad Having so many questions in mind, Lu Qiang and Jiang Yang both went back to the waiting room. They didn't want Lu Feng to know that they saw him. Seeing how he went to the grandpa in the middle of the night and what he said, it was obvious to understand that he wanted to see and talk to his grandpa alone and didn't want others to know about it.
As they sat on the couch side by side, Jiang Yang asked, "What was that? I didn't get a single word of what he was talking about."
"I think I know a few things but there is more to it. There must be sothing that only Lu Feng and grandpa are aware of and we don't know about it."
"What can it be?" Jiang Yang asked worriedly. "He was talking about sacrificing things and I know he sacrificed. Initially, I thought he did it just because he wanted to go his own way but now I think I was wrong," Lu Qiang replied feeling bad about so many things that he himself couldn't understand exactly what he should feel bad about.
Hearing it, Jiang Yang looked at Lu Qiang in surprise. "So you an, he did it for grandpa's sake?" Jiang Yang asked though he already got it.
"Hmm!" Giving out a deep sigh, Lu Qiang said, "My grandpa had only one dream that I and Lu Feng are aware of. We both tried our best to fulfill it as we promised grandpa in the past but I didn't know he was doing his part by sacrificing and hurting himself." As much as Lu Qiang thought about it, more he felt bad. "What dream?" Jiang Yang asked.
"A happy family where everyone loves each other. No differences, no bitterness and only happiness around. It's the only thing grandpa wished for," Lu Qiang replied.
"Hmm! Now I got what you an," Jiang Yang understood. "He sacrificed his dream to be a businessman like my father just because he didn't want to co in my way when I never dread about being a businessman. If I knew it, I would have forced him to take over the business and fulfill his dream and I would have followed my own."
"He knew you were never interested in business, so why did he do it?" Jiang Yang asked as there were few things that still felt like puzzles.
"That's what I am thinking. He knew if he had taken over business, I would be happy to have ti to follow my dream but he did otherwise. I think there is sothing that I don't know and I should find the answers to it." Lu Qiang said. "I think so too."
"He changed suddenly after my father's accident and I am sure sothing had happened during that period which only he and grandpa are aware of."
"But this is not the right ti to get these answers," Jiang Yang said.
"Hmm! I will wait."
