The following morning, Ming Lan awoke feeling as though her body might crumble at any mont. With a furrowed brow, she reluctantly opened her eyes to discover an empty space beside her in the bed. The sound of running water from the bathroom broke the silence.
Instantly, her thoughts wandered back to the previous night, replaying the passionate encounter with Wen Zac. Her cheeks burned crimson as she hastily pulled the blanket over her face, her heart racing in sync with the vivid mories. She couldn't help but recall her initial belief that he would release her soon, only to find him insatiable, like a ravenous wolf after a long famine. It wasn't until she reminded him about the upcoming wedding, where she was to be a bridesmaid, that he finally relented.
"He certainly lacks gentlemanly restraint when it cos to..." She shook her head, unwilling to revisit the intimate details of their night together.
Feeling suffocated, she cast the blanket aside and glanced at the bathroom door. Just as the bathroom door creaked open, Ming Lan closed her eyes, unable to face him at that mont. She resolved to wait for him to leave the room before heading to the bathroom herself.
Feigning sleep, she was acutely aware of every movent in the room. The sound of approaching footsteps heightened her anticipation. "Is he coming towards ?" she wondered.
Minutes stretched on, and the room remained eerily quiet. Ming Lan finally mustered the courage to open her eyes, only to find a man standing by the bed, a teasing smile playing on his lips. She couldn't tear her gaze away from him. He was clad in nothing but a towel around his waist, his wet hair still dripping with water droplets that traced down his well-defined physique before disappearing into the towel cinched around his lean, shapely waist.
"Good morning, Lanlan," he greeted with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Regaining her composure, she t his gaze and heard him remark, "It seems you didn't get your fill of my body last night."
Ming Lan's blush deepened, and she longed to bury herself within the blanket once more, but Wen Zac was quicker, preventing her from retreating as he settled at the edge of the bed.
"Are you feeling shy, Mrs. Wen? Last night I felt the otherwise," he teased.
Ming Lan t his gaze, her heart skipping a beat at the use of her new title. While he had often called her Lanlan, referring to her as Mrs. Wen was a first. It was in that mont that she truly felt the weight of their marriage. Until now, it had felt like two individuals bound by signed docunts, cohabiting in the sa room, and sharing a bed. But now, it ant so much more.
"I need to freshen up," she said hesitantly, only to hear him respond, "And for that, you need to get out of bed."
"Perhaps you could go first, and then I..."
"I'll assist you in getting there. I doubt you can move comfortably," he remarked, as if taking pride in her discomfort.
She avoided making eye contact and attempted to sit up with Wen Zac's help, clutching the blanket tightly to preserve her modesty. In an effort to divert attention from her disheveled state, she said, "Today is the wedding day. I have to be by Lian's side. I can't let her down as her bridesmaid."
"You don't need to worry about that, given your current condition. It's not advisable for you to follow the bride around."
"But how can she go without a bridesmaid? I told you last night that I have to..."
"I couldn't resist," he interrupted boldly, reaching for his mobile on the bedside table and showing Ming Lan the screen.
Ming Lan read the ssage on the screen and her eyes widened, her hands instinctively covering her mouth in shock. "Oh my goodness, that's incredible."
"For sure," he replied, though his gaze seed elsewhere.
Ming Lan couldn't help but notice his lingering stare on her bare chest, a consequence of her inadvertently letting the blanket slip down, leaving her chest exposed. There were nurous marks left on her delicate fair skin, which made her embarrassed even more.
She quickly covered herself, her face flushing a deep shade of red as she mumbled, "You're shaless."
"I did warn you about this," he boldly stated. "From now on, you'll see the real , so you better get used to it." With determination, he lifted her from the bed.
"What are you doing?" she asked, clearly bewildered.
"Taking you to the bathroom."
"I can manage on my own," she replied, though she was uncertain how to shield her modesty with only her two hands.
"I doubt that," Wen Zac disregarded her protest and carried her inside. He turned on the hot water for her in the bath tub. "Soak your body in warm water. You will feel better."
She nodded like an obedient girl, attentively listening to his instructions. "I'll be right outside. If you need anything, just call out. And don't lock the door."
As she watched him leave and heard the door close behind him, she couldn't deny that he was right; she did need his help. Her waist throbbed with pain, and she couldn't help but curse silently, 'n are surely animals.' But the next mont she thought sothing else, 'But I can't deny I enjoyed it. It...it felt great...though a little painful...' she shook her head, 'Am I thinking this way? I am turning into a pervert.'

After enjoying a soothing soak in warm water and a refreshing bath, Ming Lan erged from the bathroom, clad in a bathrobe. To her relief, Wen Zac was nowhere to be seen in the bedroom. However, her sense of calm was short-lived as she soon heard voices coming from outside.
Curiosity piqued, she cautiously peeked out of the bedroom door. There, she observed the hotel staff diligently setting up breakfast on the table, and Wen Zac's assistant, Wu Ren, handed a packet to Wen Zac, saying, "Here are the dicines Mister Wen requested."
"dicines?" Ming Lan pondered silently. "He's not sick, and neither am I." Then, a realization dawned upon her. "Is it... um... birth control pills he brought?" She felt a mix of embarrassnt and disappointnt. "He didn't even ask if I wanted them."
