Lu Lijun parted away just to see sothing in her eyes for him but got disappointnt in return. He knew he was delusional, but he still wished to see sothing else other than shock and anger.
"W-What do you think you are doing?" Jiang Yuyan tried to push him and run away, but he held her back.
Pinning her left hand behind her back and placing his other hand on the back of her neck to hold her steady, he gazed deeply into her eyes.
’What am I doing? Why?’ he asked himself, and there was only one answer- ’My wife. Yes, you are my wife, and you belong to only,’ he thought and answered her, "I am loving my wife."
He didn’t even give her a chance to react to what he said and kissed her again with feelings that had been buried in his heart for a long ti which he realized finally.
Though the entire world might not consider them the husband and wife, for him, she was his wife, and no one could stop him from calling her his only.
Jiang Yuyan, who was already shocked by his unexpected action and felt helpless, had one more shock with what he had just said. It was too much for her that she didn’t even struggle and let him have his way.
He continued to kiss her while she stood like a lifeless body as no strength had left in her.
In a while, Lu Lijun felt sothing was not right and realized that Yuyan had stopped struggling. He felt sothing warm and moist on his cheek. Though she was drenched in the rain, he could feel her warm tears on her cold skin.
Lu Lijun stopped kissing her to take a look, his breath still heavy.
Yuyan’s eyes closed as tears rolled down her cheeks, and she stood there like a statue.
Seeing her in such a state, Lu Lijun ca back to his senses. He slowly released her hands and moved a few steps back, feeling shocked about his own action. He realized he loved her and never thought to do this, but it happened, and now there was no way back.
It was raining heavily, and the sound of thunder grew more frightening. When he looked at her, he felt a pain deep down in his heart as if lightning had struck it and burned it to ashes. He didn’t know what to say or what to do and stood there, looking at her in a daze.
’Is it that bad for you? Am I nobody to you?’ He asked her in his heart. ’Can’t I even say I love you or even touch you. Am I not your husband? Didn’t we marry in that temple? I never thought about anyone just because all along, I knew I am a married man. Was that marriage just a play for you? But for , it was not a play. I can never forget you are my wife. I tried to bury it, but I failed, and this happened.’
His mind filled with so many questions for her, which he only said silently in his mind.
Realizing he had retreated, collecting herself, Jiang Yuyan opened her teary eyes, her expression painful and full of disgust. Moving towards him with speed unknown to her, she slapped him with all her might.
Lu Lijun didn’t move and accepted it. He knew he deserved it.
Not turning to look back at him even once, Jiang Yuyan ran away, making her way through the heavy rain.
Lu Lijun was shocked and hurt by how she looked at him and the way she ran away from him as if he was one disgusting demon and she needed to protect herself from him.
’Does she think I would have hurt her? Does she really think about like that? I would have never...’
Lu Lijun thought how reckless he acted the mont he realized how much he loved this woman when all these years he thought he hated her. She was the one he hated the most, but it turned out that it was his love for her.
Sitting inside the gazebo while rembering the event from the evening and then rembering what he just did with Jiang Yuyan, Lu Lijun felt helpless for the first ti and felt like he lost everything.
Just then, soone entered the gazebo and sat beside Lu Lijun as he patted his shoulder.
"Elder brother," Lu Lijun said in shock as he didn’t expect to see Lu Feng there.
Lu Feng sat quietly to accompany his brother.
Lu Lijun wanted to ask when Lu Feng arrived and tell him what happened after he left, but he felt choked to say anything as the emotions took over him. The first ti ever, he confessed to soone and that to the woman he loved all along, but things turned out in the wrong way.
Lu Lijun’s eyes turned moist as he was ready to shed tears.
Realizing it, Lu Feng patted his head and put his arm surrounding Lu Lijun’s shoulder to console him.
The next mont Lu Lijun turned and hugged his brother as he finally broke into tears.

When Lu Feng arrived there, drenched in the rain, he saw Jiang Yuyan and Lu Lijun in gazebo where Lu Lijun stepped away from shattered Jiang Yuyan, and she slapped him hard.
Lu Feng could guess what would have happened, but it was not his place to ddle in. Just then, Jiang Yuyan ran, and he saw her coming in his direction. Lu Feng stepped to one side and stood behind the tree.
He knew, if Jiang Yuyan got to know he witnessed what happened between her and Lu Lijun, she might not like it. It was the ti she must want to be alone, and Lu Feng let her go, though it hurt him to see her like this.
Sighing out deeply and feeling bad for his brother, Lu Feng went to Lu Lijun.
