In the evening, Wens arrived at the Lu Mansion. Both families were worried about the news spreading about both families regarding Lu Lijun and Liwei.
"What do you suggest we do?" Lu Jinhai asked Mr. Wen.
"These two are still young to confirm anything about them yet. Even though they are dating, it would be better to keep it down till the two are sure what they want to do," Mr. Wen suggested.
Lu Jinhai agreed, "I’ll instruct Lu Lijun not to et Liwei for so ti."
"Liwei is yet to finish her education, so I’m planning to send her away till then," Mr. Wen inford.
"It’s sad that you have to send her away because of my son."
"Don’t feel bad. It was already planned before she returned ho. I just have to send her early. Till then, we have to plan sothing to divert their attention from these two."
"We were thinking the sa. Yuyan is not here, or we would have taken her opinion into account," Lu Jinhai said.
Mr. Wen agreed, "When is President Lu returning."
"Next week."
"Lu Lijun?"
"He is busy handling everything in the absence of Yuyan. He would be ho soon," Lu Jinhai replied.
"I have sothing in mind if you and your family don’t mind," Mr. Wen said.
"What is it?" Lu Jinhai asked, and others waited to hear it.
"If my son and your daughter like each other and agree to marry, then we can proceed with their engagent. It can burry other news."
"Lian and Wen Zac?" Ning Jiahui asked.
"We need to ask them first," Elder Lu spoke.
Just then, Lu Lian returned ho. She was late as after Ming Rusheng left, she had to handle so many things in his stead.
"Here she is," Lu Jinhai said and called Lu Lian to sit with them.
Lu Lian bowed to Wens and sat next to her mother. She didn’t get a good feeling about it and rembered Wen Zac’s words when he said, don’t be surprised if you see my parents in your ho tomorrow.
She looked at Wen Zac, and he understood what she thought about. He gave her a aningful sight which ant don’t worry.
"We were talking about you and Wen Zac. What do you two think about each other?" Lu Jinhai asked.
"Is father sacrificing elder sister to protect ?" Ca the firm and mocking voice that pulled everyone’s attention.
Lu Lijun ca there and looked at Mr. Wen, "Is the son ant to be a scapegoat to protect the daughter?"
"Lu Lijun, watch your words," Lu Jinhai warned.
Lu Lian felt relieved and thanked her younger brother for saving her from it. She wouldn’t have agreed to it, but everyone’s presence pressurized her sowhere.
"It’s not just because of you. The talk has been going on for the past few days, and they know about it. It’s just that if they agree, we can get things ahead," Lu Jinhai explained.
Lu Lijun looked at his sister, "What do you think, sister?"
"I didn’t think about it yet," she replied, rembering Wen Zac’s advice of asking for more ti.
This is what Wen Zac wanted to hear and spoke, "We t hardly twice and don’t know each other much. So, it would be better to know each other so more."
Mr. Wen gave his son a displeased look, but it didn’t affect him.
"Let’s not force her?" Elder Lu warned his son.
Lu Jinhai agreed as he never ant to force his daughter. "She was ready to et Wen Zac, so we thought these two are ready after eting," Lu Jinhai added.
"Apology, father," Lu Lian spoke. The entire day her mind kept reminding her about Ming Rusheng that there was no way she would think about another man.
"What’s the need of dragging these two in this matter?" Lu Lijun comnted, looking at his father.
Lu Lijun’s behavior angered Lu Jinhai. "Then do you plan to take responsibility for all the ruckus you have created? Even Yuyan gave up on all this."
"What does she have to do with my life?" Lu Lijun countered.
"Then take responsibility and solve everything on your own," Lu Jinhai retorted.
Seeing the heated conversation between the two, Mr. Wen interrupted. "Let President Lu return, and we can decide calmly."
"Again, president Lu!" Lu Lijun sighed. "What do I have to do? Instead of my elder sister, do I need to get engaged?"
Everyone turned silent as no one wished this to happen so soon.
"We will decide once Yuyan is back," Lu Jinhai spoke.
It provoked Lu Lijun, "I already said, I don’t mind getting engaged. It’s my life, so no need to ask president Lu."
"You can’t decide it alone," Lu Jinhai countered.
"Fine," Lu Lijun pulled out his cellphone and dialed one number. The mont the call was received, he asked, "Do you mind getting engaged with ?"
Everyone looked at him in shock.
The person on the other side of the line seems shocked, and there was no reply.
"Answer in Yes or no. Are you fine with the engagent?" Lu Lijun put the phone on speaker.
"Yes," ca the reply, and everyone recognized Liwei’s voice.
Mr. Wen didn’t know what to say, and Wen Zac signaled his father to calm down.
"Talk to you later." Lu Lijun hung up the call and asked, "I think there is nothing more to discuss. Just set the date of engagent."
"Are you sure?" Lu Jinhai asked.
Lu Lijun nodded and said, "But make sure to have a date when President Lu could attend it. We can’t forget the important person in the family."
Lu Lijun bowed and went upstairs.
"What do you think?" Lu Jinhai asked Mr. Wen.
"I have to talk to my daughter first," said Mr. Wen.
Lu Jinhai agreed.

Once the wens left, Ning Jiahui talked to Lu Jinhai as the elder accompanied them.
"Isn’t it too early?" she asked.
"I know, but because of our son, their daughter’s image is at stake," Lu Jinhai countered.
"Father, what do you think?" Lu Jinhai asked, feeling tense about it.
"What can we say when he has already decided? He won’t listen to anyone," Elder Lu replied.
"He must like that girl a lot," Grandma comnted.
"She is a nice girl. No wonder if he liked her," elder Lu comnted. "It’s in our blood. If you like a girl, you will never let her go." Elder Lu looked at his wife and winked, "Am I right?"
"We are talking sothing serious here," Grandma warned.
"That doesn’t an I can’t flirt with my wife," elder Lu countered.
Lu Chen, who was silent till now, spoke, "I think it’s not a bad thing. It will back up Lu Lijun when he takes the president’s position."
Hearing it, elder Lu frowned, "Stop mixing business with family."
"Apology, father," Lu Chen bowed and then tried to calm his father by siding with him, "It’s just as father said. It’s in our blood to go after a woman we like, then whatever it takes."
Elder Lu agreed, "If he likes her, then let him get engaged. That way, he doesn’t have to worry about all the news."
Lu Jinhai nodded. We will see what my friend talks to his daughter and then decide it as soon as possible.
