As the post-production for that final episode of the variety show was completed, the producers had asked everyone in the group to a al. As this was only an informal dinner, everyone decided to have a hotpot.
The post-production group was not as big as the production group. At this ti, including the producers, around ten people were joining this al.
Song Xing Xing sat down and ate her al in silence. When good food was served in front of her, Song Xing Xing would prefer to keep silent and ate her food.
Producer Ming was talking to Ning Yan about the editing process when soone knocked on the door. The waiters walked in with another tray of raw materials before they continued to fill their glasses with more water.
Song Xing Xing was taking a bite at the cooked beef strip when the door slid open again. The mont she saw the person at the door, Song Xing Xing began to choke at her food.
"Xing Xing!" Liu Yu Sheng patted her friend's back to ease her cough.
However, it did not look as if Song Xing Xing was going to stop coughing anyti soon. Her coughing got worse and her face started to turn red. The spicy soup got stuck in her throat and it was hard for her to recover.
Worried, Liu Yu Sheng grabbed a glass and handed it over to her friend. She helped Song Xing Xing to drink her water and waited until she finally stopped coughing.
"Xing Xing, are you alright?"
When she looked up, Song Xing Xing realized that everyone in the room was looking at her. Song Xing Xing waved her hand and whispered. "I'm fine now."
Producer Ming heaved with relief when he saw that Song Xing Xing was alright. Seeing that everything was alright, everyone turned their attention towards the person who just entered the room.
"President Lu."
Lu Xun exchanged a few words with the executive producers. He glanced at Song Xing Xing and sat down with the others.
"President Lu, it's a surprise to see you here," Producer Ming said.
Lu Xun watched as the waiter poured him a glass of water, then he reached to take a sip. "Producer Zhai told about this al. Coincidentally, I have a eting around here. I decided to co here and take a look." He flashed a smile and said, "Everyone, please be at ease and have your al. Tonight, it will be my treat."
The room was filled with everyone's cheer. Since the president is going to pay for this al, they were not shy to call the waiter and order more food.
Song Xing Xing watched as everyone chatted happily with their big boss and lowered her head. She picked up another piece of at and took a small bite at it.
Previously, the producers had said that there will be no one else joining this dinner other than the people from the post-production team.
How did Lu Xun suddenly appeared at this place?
Seeing the man who sat across her, Song Xing Xing's appetite suddenly died.
"Xing Xing, you're not eating anymore?"
She turned to her friend and forced a smile. "My throat hurt after coughing too much. It's better if I eat less."

Song Xing Xing peeked at Lu Xun before she continued to lower her head. The others were busy discussing work or sucking up to the big boss while she tried to reduce her presence.

A frown appeared on his face as he recalled the way this girl had interacted with Huo Yun Chen at the studio the other day. If he was not mistaken, Song Xing Xing was not close to Huo Yun Chen.
They had t each other previously but Lu Xun had never seen them exchanging another word after a brief greeting.
He thought it was strange how they had suddenly grown closer. He did not know what did they talked about, but Lu Xun thought that their interaction was as if they had known each other for a long ti. Her face was full of smiles and laughter.
That scene made him feel very uncomfortable.
Therefore, when Producer Zhai said that the post-production team was having a al, Lu Xun decided to co over as well.
As the al ended, Song Xing Xing walked out of the private room with a breath of relief. She left the restaurant with Liu Yu Sheng and parted with her once they reached a junction. She watched as Liu Yu Sheng got into the taxi before she walked over to the bus stop.
At this ti, a vehicle stopped at the side. Song Xing Xing looked up and thought that this vehicle seed a little familiar.
"Song Xing Xing!"
Hearing her na, Song Xing Xing lifted her head and saw the person she wished she did not wish to see. Even if she wanted to avoid him, that person had already co out from the car and was walking towards her.
Song Xing Xing took a deep breath to calm down before she called, "President Lu."
"Are you heading ho? Get in, I'll send you ho."
"Thank you, but you don't have to." Song Xing Xing forced a smile. "I'll take the bus."
Lu Xun glanced at his wristwatch and spoke again, "It's late. It's not safe for you to out here at this ti."
"I'm really fine. I can just take the bus," Song Xing Xing said. "President Lu, the public transport in our country is pretty good."
Lu Xun froze. Why did he feel as if Song Xing Xing was being hostile towards him?
Song Xing Xing looked at the bus stop and thought that the bus was not going to appear any ti soon. She turned to him again and decided to speak her mind. "President Lu, you are not being fair to ."
"What do you an? I only wanted to help send you ho."
"President Lu, helping a person is good but you should also know that you should draw a line when you help soone," Song Xing Xing said.
The last ti he had helped her to escape that pervert director, he should leave once he was sure that she was alright. However, he had spent his ti accompanying her in the garden. He had sent her ho after she could not get a taxi in the middle of the night. Lu Xun should stop after that but he visited her when she was unwell.
He helped her, but he did not draw a line.
"You did not want to like you but when you are being kind to , you are also giving hope. President Lu, don't you think that what you are doing to is cruel?"
