Song Xing Xing stared at the computer screen with a dazed look on her face. She could not help but think that her life was moving very fast.
In a short ti, her relationship with Lu Xun had made a lot of progress.
It was not too long ago when she was still worrying that they haven't made a lot of progress after getting together.
Now, Lu Xun had suggested for her to move in with him.
Living together seed like a good idea.
They were a couple in love and she wanted to live in a world where there were only the two of them. However, Song Xing Xing was worrying that Lu Xun might start to despise her when he learned about her bad habits.
However, there were many perks of moving in with Lu Xun.
At least, he did not have to drive from his place to her apartnt back and forth. He could save a lot of ti on the road and they could spend a lot more ti together.
Moreover... she could always eat Auntie Wei's cooking whenever she wanted to.
After discussing for a bit, Song Xing Xing decided to move in the weekend. Anyway, she still had to pack up her stuff and tidy up her place.
According to Lu Xun, if she did not want to move in into his place, he could always move in into her place. Song Xing Xing thought that this thought was too scary.
To co to her apartnt, Lu Xun would have to wear a face mask to hide his identity. If he live in her apartnt, sooner or later, soone might find out about their relationship and the reporters would make things difficult for both of them.
"What are you thinking about?" Liu Yu Sheng poked her on the arms. "Don't tell that you were still in the vacation mood?"
Song Xing Xing flashed a smile. "Yu Sheng, good morning."
It was her first day back to work after taking a few days off. It was not strange that Liu Yu Sheng would think that she was still in the vacation mood.
"Xing Xing, good morning."
Song Xing Xing reached into her bag and took out local produce that she had bought from D Town. "Co on. This is for you."
Her eyes lit up. Liu Yu Sheng thanked her friend and looked at the box of snacks. "Xing Xing, where did you and President Lu go for your vacation?" Her expression froze the mont she saw sothing glittering on her friend's finger.
Liu Yu Sheng placed the box of snacks on the table and reached to hold Song Xing Xing's hand. "This... Xing Xing, don't tell ..." Her words were left unfinished. Liu Yu Sheng stared back at her with her eyes wide.
Song Xing Xing lowered her head shyly. She had a finger on her lips, motioning her friend to lower her voice lest they would attract unwanted attention. "Un. He proposed on my birthday."
Liu Yu Sheng muttered a cursing word in excitent. "Xing Xing, congratulations! This... it couldn't be because of that lingerie you bought last week, right?"
She started to wonder if President Lu had a strange hobby.
"Don't talk nonsense." Song Xing Xing's face turned darker. The lingerie she bought did not even have it chance to make an appearance, alright?
Liu Yu Sheng had a sheepish smile on her face. "Xing Xing, don't be mad. I was only joking." The two friends continued to discuss her relationship with President Lu. After a while, Liu Yu Sheng asked, "Have you decided when you were going to get married?"
"We haven't decided yet. Anyway, it's better to discuss this after I have t his parents."
Liu Yu Sheng's gaze turned complicated. "You haven't t his parents?"
Song Xing Xing shook her head. She looked at her friend and thought that her expression seed a little strange. "Yu Sheng, what is it? What is in your mind?"
"Nothing." Liu Yu Sheng's flashed a smile that did not reach her eyes. "I was just a little worried. You are already engaged before you et his parents. Xing Xing, I am not trying to scare you but what if you and his mother did not get along with each other?" A heavy breath escaped her. "These days, there were too many stories about a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law's argunts. I'm just worried that if the two of you did not get along well, it might affect your relationship with President Lu as well."
Song Xing Xing listened to her words and started to worry.
She hasn't t Lu Xun's parents yet. What should she do if they were not satisfied with her?
What if they handed her a blank cheque and asked her to leave their son?
Perhaps, she has been watching too much family drama recently.
At this ti, Song Xing Xing's mind was running wild.
When she returned to her ho that evening, Song Xing Xing was still thinking about her future parents-in-law.
Song Xing Xing stood in front of the stove with a dazed look on her face. Slling sothing unpleasant, she finally snapped out of her thoughts. Her eyes widened in surprise upon seeing the smoke in front of her.
Before she could make a move, soone had appeared on her side.
Lu Xun turned off the stove and opened the windows to let the smoke out.
Mr. Fluffball peeked into the kitchen, saw the smoke, and ran away to hide in Song Xing Xing's room.
"What is on your mind? Why do you look so absentminded in the kitchen? Song Xing Xing, what would you do if the house is on fire?" Lu Xun looked at the girl with a stern look on his face.
He had finally escaped Bei Yuan and those piling docunts. Lu Xun was planning to head over to Song Xing Xing's apartnt and surprise her with his presence. He rang the bell but no one appeared.
Fortunately, he knew the passcode to her house. As soon as he pushed the door, Lu Xun found that Mr. Fluffball was waiting for him at the door and saw the smoke coming from the kitchen.
He ran over and saw the girl standing in front of the stove with a dazed expression. The chicken breast on the pan has already turned black on one side.
Her heart trembled.
This was the first ti that Lu Xun had risen his voice at her and Song Xing Xing was still in shock over what had happened. All of the sudden, Lu Xun appeared and scolded her?
Seeing her aggrieved face, Lu Xun imdiately realized what had happened. He heaved a soft sigh and his expression was no longer as scary. "I'm sorry." He stretched his arms and pulled the girl into his embrace. "Xing Xing, do you know how scared I am when I enter the apartnt only to find that the house is full of smoke? I was only worried about you."
Her lips pursed into a thin line.. Song Xing Xing leaned on his chest and did not speak a word.
