The car pulled over as they reached the destination.
Song Xing Xing looked out the window and saw the boutique that Lu Xun had ntioned. On the signboard, the na CCELINE was written in cursive, bold font. Song Xing Xing stared at the signboard and thought that she had heard of this brand before.
Lu Xun walked around the car and helped her with the door.
Holding hands, the two of them began to walk towards the boutique.
The mont they entered, the shop attendant turned around and spoke, "Sorry. We're close for the day." She then realized the person who entered the shop was the person her big boss was waiting for. Swiftly, the shop attendant smiled. "President Lu, you're here. Miss Celine has been waiting for you. I will go and get her."
As the shop attendant walked away, Song Xing Xing turned to Lu Xun and raised a brow. "The owner is soone you know?"
"Un." Lu Xun nodded. "We went to the sa university together."
Song Xing Xing nodded and decided not to ask more.
A while later, a woman dressed in a black, puffy dress walked down the stairs. Her eyes brightened up in surprise the mont she saw Lu Xun. "I thought your assistant was joking when he said that you would co by. I did not expect that you would really co."
Lu Xun smiled. "You still chose to close the shop even when you're not sure that I'll co over?"
"I thought that I could get so rest and finish so project when there's no one else around," she replied with a shrug. Her gaze shifted to the woman beside her friend. "This is…?"
"Song Xing Xing, my girlfriend," Lu Xun introduced. "Xing Xing, this is my friend, Celine Chen."
There was a look of surprise as Celine looked at Song Xing Xing. She recovered quickly and flashed a smile. "Miss Song, hello."
The two won shook hands and greeted each other politely.
Celine shifted her gaze to Lu Xun again and spoke, "I thought that you were going to spend your life as a bachelor. I did not expect that you would find yourself a girlfriend." A thought ca to her mind. "So, this is why you ca to ."
"Mhm…" Lu Xun nodded. "We're going to attend the Red Entertainnt Award in a few weeks. I know that this is a last-minute thing but I hope that you would be able to help us to prepare sothing."
"Of course." Celine smiled brightly. "You know I would do anything for you. After all, you are one of my biggest investors." Celine turned to the shop attendant and spoke, "Ah Jiu, help to get my notebook in my office."
The shop attendant nodded before she headed upstairs.
"Right. Would you like anything to drink? Coffee? Tea? We have orange juice as well," Celine spoke.
Lu Xun turned to Song Xing Xing as he was looking for her opinion. "Coffee will be fine."
"Wait here. I'll get soone to prepare the drink. Have a seat, I will be back shortly," Celine said before she disappeared inside.
As the couple was left alone, Lu Xun led his girlfriend towards the lounge area.
Song Xing Xing sat down and began to observe everything around her. The lounge area was decorated with white furniture and a few ho plants. On the table, there were a few recent fashion magazines. Song Xing Xing picked up one of them and flipped through the pages.
"I did not expect the rumors to be true," Song Xing Xing whispered as she placed the magazine on the table.
Lu Xun raised a brow. "What rumor?"
"Before I t you, I've heard rumors that President Lu Xun is generous with his investnt. They said that President Lu Xun would never reject if anyone co to him and ask for investnt." Song Xing Xing stared at him with interest. "I've heard from my sister-in-law that you have invested a lot of money in a project in B City."
Lu Xun chuckled. "That's not entirely true. Although it might seem like it, I don't invest my money in just any project. Most of the people who ca to are people that I have known for a long ti. The Project in B City for example… I only invested in it because of Zhang Yu Han." He let out a sigh and complained, "It turned out that he wanted to pursue his wife and he was helping her to find people who might be interested in the project. As for the others… Even though I don't look at their proposal much, I would et them face to face and see their character first. As long as they have a good character, I don't mind investing even though I might lose my money."
"Then, have you lost a lot of money from your investnt before?"
"It would be a lie to say that I have never lost any money. But the amount of my loss was not as much as my gain. I guess people don't focus on this news." A thought ca to his mind and Lu Xun spoke in a teasing tone, "Miss Song, is this an interview?"
Song Xing Xing put both hands under her chin and smiled. "That's right. President Lu, I'm interested in you. It's not strange if I wanted to learn more about you, right?"
Lu Xun only wanted to tease her. But he did not expect that his girlfriend would answer him like this. This was not the first ti that a girl had confessed that she is interested in him. However, hearing these words coming from his girlfriend… It gave him a different feeling.
His heart skipped a beat as he looked into his girlfriend's adoring eyes. Lu Xun noticed that Song Xing Xing loved to stare at him like this openly. As seconds passed by, his eyes turned darker. Lu Xun suppressed the urge to kiss the girl and stretched his hand to pinch her cheek.
Instantly, Song Xing Xing lowered her eyes to rub her painful cheek. Her cheek puffed slightly as she looked at him with resentnt.
Lu Xun imdiately regretted his action. He just wanted to make her stop looking at him that way. However, the pouting look on her face made his heartbeat accelerated.
What should he do? His girlfriend is too adorable and he really wanted to kiss her.
Unfortunately, at this ti, the shop attendant returned with a notebook in her hand. And a second later, Celine returned to the lounge carrying a tray of coffee and refreshnts.
Lu Xun had no other choice but to concentrate on their discussion with Celine.
