Lu Xu froze. He pulled away slightly and looked at the person in his arms. "What are you thinking about? How did you get to that conclusion?" He really wanted to flick her on the forehead to make her stop thinking about such a thing.
Song Xing Xing looked at him with a puzzled expression. "Isn't that what you are going to tell ?" The hand that she had clenched tightly gradually loosened.
His chest shook as he chuckled. "Song Xing Xing, your way of thinking is too strange."
What does he an when he said those words? How is her thinking too strange? Wasn't this normal?
Her cheek bulged as she was feeling slightly unhappy.
"Song Xing Xing, I like you a lot."
"Ah?"
Her heartbeat accelerated again. It was strange how this person could make her feelings change back and forth. This was making her frustrated. She really wanted to scream at him and tell him to stop playing around with her heart like this.
The feeling of rising and falling was making her dizzy. In just one night, Lu Xun had made her experience all sorts of feelings.
Lu Xun touched a few strands of her hair. "I like you a lot, so I'm a little worried."
Song Xing Xing asked, "What are you worried about?"
"Worried that I wouldn't know how to treat you well. I… worried that I haven't been dating for a long ti and I don't know how to date properly."
She lowered her head and mumbled, "I never date before. I don't know how to date properly either."
His lips tilted into a smile. "I know. Then, I am your first boyfriend, right?"
Song Xing Xing gasped and took a step back. "Who is my boyfriend?"
She hasn't agreed to get together with him and he was still chasing her. How did he promote himself as her boyfriend? For the first ti, Song Xing Xing seed to realize that this man could be a little shaless as well.
Seeing that the girl was staring at him with her eyes widened, Lu Xun could not help but laugh. "Song Xing Xing, I'm also worried that you might think that I am too old for you."
Song Xing Xing pursed her lips and stared at Lu Xun seriously. "Well, you are a little older than . This is a fact."
They did have a nine-year age gap. However, she had never thought of it as a problem. Song Xing Xing knew that she was a little childish. It was good for her to be with soone more mature than her.
His lips twitched. Suddenly, Lu Xun seed to recall the last ti she had called her 'uncle'. "Can't you say sothing nice?"
"Although you might be a little old, I don't think that you are not too old for ." Song Xing Xing pondered for a little while and added, "Moreover, you are also very good-looking."
Lu Xun laughed. He felt a little better upon hearing her words. He decided that that from now on, he should pay more attention to his looks.
His lips stretched up into a wide smile. Suddenly, Lu Xun pulled her into a hug again. He took a deep breath and spoke. "Earlier, I was feeling a little unhappy because I ran into that person. But seeing you made feel a lot better."
His words made her shy again.
He had said that he had not dated anyone for years and did not know how to date properly. But Song Xing Xing thought that he was really good at flirting with her.
She raised her head to look at him again and observed him for a long ti.
Even though Lu Xun had not said what he was worried about, Song Xing Xing was able to guess so things. He knew that Lu Xun was worried that their relationship might end up like his previous one.
"My sister-in-law had said sothing in the past," Song Xing Xing decided to speak after a brief silence between them.
Lu Xun gave her a puzzled look. "What did she said?"
"She said… everyone in this world is different and therefore, their story is different as well. Every love story is different as well." Song Xing Xing lifted her head to look at him in the eyes. "Just because your relationship did not end up well in the past, it doesn't an that the sa thing would happen again. What's really important is that you should not give up before you try."
His gaze flickered. A while ago, he was still worried about too many things. Perhaps because he was older than her, he tends to overthink things.
For example, he wondered whether soone like him is worthy of this girl. He was worried that his past would make her hurt instead.
When he decided to co to see her, Lu Xun had not said anything much. He only told her that he ca to give her the souvenir that he had bought for her. Even though he had not said anything, it was as if she could guess what was on his mind. She knew what he was afraid of.
After he had run into Shi An Na in T Country, Lu Xun realized that he had too many fears. However, he realized now that Song Xing Xing is not Shi An Na.
Even if their relationship might not work up as they wanted, Song Xing Xing would not hurt him the sa way Shi An Na did. Their relationship will not end the sa. Lu Xun realized that he needed to trust in Song Xing Xing and himself a little more.
He should not give up before he gives it a try.
At this ti, their relationship was still too early. They were at the phase to understand each other well. He should not think things too much and make things complicated. It was better to just let things flow naturally between them. He just needed to live in the mont.
Lu Xun felt his heart skipped a beat as he continued to look at her.
