Chapter 49: A al Exposes a Green Tea Girl

It was 11 p.m. The night outside was so dark you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face, and the howling wind raged like it had gone feral.

Lying in bed, Jiang Zhou opened up Feng Siruo’s QQ chat window. He hesitated, though, and the ssage he was about to send never got typed.

He had just had dinner with three different girls and even received a kiss.

He felt… dirty. Too dirty.

With a heart as unclean as this, how could he taint his little fairy?

Better wait till tomorrow.

After a nice shower and a trip to the training hall, maybe then he’d hit her up again.

He exited the chat window and got ready to sleep.

But right then, a friend request popped up out of nowhere.

Jiang Zhou accepted it without thinking, and a ssage ca through right after.

“Hey, are you Jiang Zhou?”

“Who’s this?”

“I’m Li Yifei, Chu Yuwei’s roommate. We spoke during orientation, rember?”

Jiang Zhou blinked for a mont. “Oh, right. You.”

“I added you through Chu Yuwei’s profile. She doesn’t know. ”

“Okay… so, what’s up?”

“That restaurant today was really fancy, huh? How much did dinner cost?”

“Not much. Just a few thousand.”

“A few thousand?! Brother Jiang Zhou, are you a rich second-gen or sothing?”

Wait, what?

That gege (“older brother”) sounded awfully familiar.

Instantly, Jiang Zhou recalled those cringey internet lines: Gege, won’t your girlfriend get jealous?

I’m not like her, I’d only feel bad for you, gege.

Was this al outing baiting out a green tea girl*?

(TL note: “green tea” is slang for a manipulative girl who pretends to be innocent and sweet to get attention.)

Before he could analyze it further, another ssage appeared.

“Brother Jiang Zhou, how about I treat you to dinner next ti?”

Jiang Zhou typed quickly: “I’m a scumbag. Aren’t you scared?”

“Brother, you’re so straightforward. ”

“I prefer to get straight to the point.”

“You’re making shy when you say stuff like that~”

Ugh. So boring.

If you want to be a “green tea,” at least commit to it. Don’t try to act all pure at the sa ti. Jiang Zhou tossed his phone aside, losing interest.

But Li Yifei clearly noticed he’d gone quiet and quickly changed topics.

“Brother Jiang Zhou, I don’t know if I should say this, but…”

“Go on.”

“Yuwei was just calling you a scumbag and saying she doesn’t even like you!”

Jiang Zhou smirked.

Thought so. This girl is definitely playing gas.

“Yeah, I know she doesn’t like .”

“Huh?”

“She’s been saying that since high school. I’m used to it.”

After a long pause, Li Yifei replied: “And you still talk to soone like that?”

“She told she wouldn’t date in college and asked to wait for her. I’m still deciding.”

“But on move-in day, I saw her shopping with another guy. They were holding hands. Isn’t she just brushing you off?”

“That guy was .”

“A few days ago, she asked for leave. So guy brought her breakfast. You know about that? I think it was a senior from our student council.”

“I bought it and gave it to her because I lost my appetite.”

“…”

Li Yifei went silent again. She seed at a loss for words.

But Jiang Zhou was just getting into it. He searched up a picture of a diamond necklace online and sent it to her.

“How about this? Do you like it?”

“Wow, it’s gorgeous! I’ve always wanted one!”

“If I gave it to you, would you be really happy?”

“Brother Jiang Zhou, you’re the sweetest! I’d be so happy I’d give myself to you ”

“Great, I’ll go pay for it now.”

“T-Then… can I co see you tomorrow? ”

“See ? Why?”

“Didn’t you say you’re buying it…?”

“Yeah, but I’ve asked a bunch of girls. They all said they like it. I think if I give it to Yuwei, she’ll be really happy.”

“You’re… giving it to her?!”

“Who else would I give it to?”

“She doesn’t even want to be your girlfriend! Why are you still being so nice to her ?!”

“Then who should I be nice to? Girls are so hard to chase.”

“Not true! So girls are super easy to win over.”

“Like who?”

“You could chase ! How about that?”

At that mont, Jiang Zhou sat up straight.

“Haodong, are you still awake?”

Xu Haodong coughed. “Busy with my girlfriend, make it quick.”

“There’s a girl who just added on QQ. She said she likes you.”

“No way. For real?!”

Haodong’s eyes glead like a starving wolf.

“I’m serious,” Jiang Zhou said. “She even asked if you had a girlfriend.”

“Then let her add right now!”

“Alright, I’ll tell her.”

Jiang Zhou picked up his phone.

“Yifei, I think you’re pretty cool too. How about I add you from my other account?”

“You have another account?”

“Yeah. Only the people closest to get to add it.”

“Omg okay!”

“Also, stop calling Jiang Zhou. Call Haodong.”

“Huh? Why?”

“That’s my nickna.”

“Ohhh okay!”

Got her.

Jiang Zhou instantly handed the QQ over to Xu Haodong.

Haodong took one glance at Li Yifei’s profile and gave Jiang Zhou a look full of gratitude.

“Bro, I never expected you to be such a real one. Once I win her over, dinner’s on !”

Jiang Zhou grinned. “What are brothers for? Go have fun, I’m going to bed.”

“You sleep. I’ll take it from here.”

Haodong happily added her, full of excitent.

And really, this wasn’t screwing over a bro. Letting a guy flirt with a girl doesn’t cost him anything. It was better than him using his right hand every night.

Jiang Zhou felt like he’d just done a good deed.

With a satisfied smile, he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
