"Let's go check out the mall next door," Shen Mochen suggested. "It has air conditioning. We can enjoy the breeze for a while and co out later tonight."
Han Muxue remained silent, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.
Shen Mochen then took Han Muxue to the mall next to the restaurant, one of the biggest in Yu Huai City. But when Shen Mochen tried to take Han Muxue inside, they found that the stone bollards outside blocked the wheelchair's path.
"Can we... squeeze through this?" Shen Mochen pushed Han Muxue's wheelchair to give it a try, but even a slight attempt seed quite difficult.
"No," Han Muxue answered straightforwardly, her head down and her face expressionless.
"This is just too..." Shen Mochen started to complain as he looked at the bollards, but he swallowed his words before they could escape his lips.
He lifted Han Muxue, asking her to hold on tight, then lifted the wheelchair to slowly make it past the bollard barrier.
"Phew... that wasn't easy," Shen Mochen said with a laugh after gently placing Han Muxue back into her wheelchair.
"It's always like this," Han Muxue said flatly.
Shen Mochen found himself at a loss for words: "...Actually, it's no big deal, not really any trouble."
"The underground parking garage has an elevator that we can use, but it's a very long way around, just as troubleso."
Without turning her head, Han Muxue maneuvered her wheelchair toward the mall. It seed like her comnt wasn't really ant for Shen Mochen.
Shen Mochen paused, then hurriedly followed her: "Ah, what's the trouble?"
Once inside the mall, Shen Mochen smiled and said, "Let's check out so clothes. Whatever clothes you want, I'll buy them for you..."
From what he knew about Han Muxue, she probably liked branded clothes and luxury accessories... After all, not a single item of clothing or shoes she wore was priced below four figures.
Shen Mochen himself wasn't particularly interested in such things, but he was quite well off even without touching the inheritance left by Yin Caiyu, having several months' salaries and extra bonuses from Buque. He didn't mind spending a little money on Han Muxue.

Han Muxue didn't speak, just maneuvered her electric wheelchair through the store, looking around.

The afternoons of sumr tend to be the least busy tis, and the store attendants were all idling around lazily. Suddenly seeing custors enter, most of them didn't have much enthusiasm, except for one shorter attendant who approached, while the rest boredly gossiped about the uncommon pair.
It was rare to see soone in a wheelchair shopping, and for many attendants, it was their first encounter.
"That woman is pretty good-looking, huh..."
"Pity she's disabled."
"Look at the guy with her, his hair is so long. Can he even see the road?"
"He's probably embarrassed, bringing out a girlfriend in a wheelchair..."
"That's going too far though, even if your girlfriend's disabled, you can't do that."
"She's so pretty; if she weren't disabled, normal guys wouldn't have a chance with her."
"Who knows if she'll ever recover use of her legs. Probably break up after she does..."
"Well, the guy's not losing out, right? He's probably had plenty of good tis."
The murmurs of the attendants reached Shen Mochen and Han Muxue's ears in hushed tones. Although they couldn't make out the clear details, Shen Mochen still frowned but didn't react.
It wasn't the first ti he had heard such comnts. Outsiders rarely showed overt malice; it was mostly a mixture of pity for Han Muxue and gossip about the couple... but it was still inexplicably unsettling.
He glanced at Han Muxue, but she seed as if she hadn't heard anything, guided by the shorter attendant, picking one n's garnt after another.
"Do you want to try it on?" Han Muxue looked at the clothes in the salesperson's hands and suddenly said to Shen Mochen.
"Um... sure." Shen Mochen nodded.
He wasn't foolish, how could he not realize who the clothes were ant for?
Imdiately, he took two selected pieces of clothing and walked into the fitting room.
Han Muxue told the clerk not to follow and walked alone to the outside of the fitting room, pulling the door open just a crack. By that ti, Shen Mochen had changed into the clothes, and after inspecting him, Han Muxue found the fit to be very good.
"Lift your bangs." Han Muxue said.
Shen Mochen lifted his bangs, and Han Muxue pursed her lips. She turned and walked to the sales assistant: "No need to try the others, pack them all up, I'm taking everything."
"Taking everything?" The clerk was sowhat surprised.
"Charge it." Han Muxue took out her bank card and passed it over.
Ten minutes later, Shen Mochen and Han Muxue left the n's fashion store.
Because Han Muxue had bought enough, the store threw in ho delivery service. So Shen Mochen still had empty hands, only now clad in a new outfit.
"Are all those for ? Aren't you going to buy so for your family?" Shen Mochen asked.
"If you want to buy them sothing, then go ahead and buy it yourself." Han Muxue said coldly.
Shen Mochen didn't say any more, but then asked what he had been wondering: "Is it okay to spend so much, why do I feel like you earn much more than others?"
Han Muxue was taken aback, her complexion sowhat darkened, she looked down: "It's none of your business."
Shen Mochen asked no further.
Han Muxue and Shen Mochen continued to roam the streets, with Han Muxue continuing to buy things for Shen Mochen. He wanted to protest a few tis, but the other party wouldn't listen.
Finally, the two passed by an internationally renowned luxury watch store, Han Muxue sized up Shen Mochen, glanced at the cross on his neck, and the wristband on one of his wrists. After thinking for a mont, she turned and walked into the watch store.
After looking around the shop on her own for a while, Han Muxue chose a n's watch and asked the clerk to bring it out.
The clerk looked at Han Muxue in her expensive designer clothes and took out the watch.
"Try it on." Han Muxue said.
Shen Mochen glanced at the price that was roughly two months of his salary, and whispered, "There's no need, I really don't lack a watch, I use my phone for the ti now..."
"Try it on." Han Muxue held the watch out to Shen Mochen, not looking at him, but her tone brooked no argunt.
Shen Mochen hesitated for a mont, but then put it on and raised his wrist in front of Han Muxue.
"Charge it."
Han Muxue glanced at Shen Mochen, turned, and handed her bank card to the clerk.
Knowing he couldn't stop Han Muxue and it would be impolite to refuse, Shen Mochen, after they left the watch store, asked Han Muxue to wait by the door for a mont. He went back into the store and bought a ladies' model and displayed it to Han Muxue.
"You gave a watch, so I'm giving you one too, you mustn't refuse."
Shen Mochen smiled, lifting Han Muxue's delicate wrist, and gently placed the watch on it.
Han Muxue was taken aback, glanced at Shen Mochen's watch, and then, with pursed lips, she lowered her head and silently gazed at her wrist.
"Alright, it's getting late, let's go have so dinner..."
As Shen Mochen was speaking, suddenly a crisp and familiar voice ca from behind.
"Shen Mochen... classmate?"
Shen Mochen turned around abruptly, Gu Yange and two other girls stood behind them, the two girls seed not to recognize him, looking puzzled, but Gu Yange looked both shocked and delighted.
Han Muxue instinctively covered her wrist with her hand.
