Shen Mochen felt the blood rush to his head, his face burning as though set afla.
His heart was beating fast, like the first ti he was caught stealing as a child.
He had been caught again, but not for theft—this ti, the most shaful inferiority of his youth had been viciously revealed.
Liu Chaoyan rembering by itself was acceptable to him, but he had never expected that she would also know of his youthful adoration.

Shen Mochen felt suffocated, the frustration welling up in his throat. If there were a crack in the ground, he would have dived into it without hesitation to hide.
"What are you babbling about?" Shen Mochen almost instinctively denied.
He was usually good at lying, but right then, even the dumbest fool could see his panic.
"So, I am spouting nonsense?" Liu Chaoyan giggled, her round and jade-like toes gracefully stroking Shen Mochen's chin, "Who would have thought that after so many years, our little beggar would still care so much!"
"You've got the wrong person, I have no idea what you're talking about!"
Shen Mochen denied vehently, his tone even carrying a hint of anger born from embarrassnt.
"Did I mistake soone for you? I am sorry then. It seems you really weren't the little beggar who snatched my donut and ran away…" Liu Chaoyan sighed, "You're right, that poor little beggar is no more, replaced by a bad kid who's adept at playing with won's hearts."
Shen Mochen turned red in the face, unable to utter a word.
"You're really not coming? Once you miss this chance, it's gone forever."
Liu Chaoyan smiled radiantly, her brightness outshining even the morning sun. Flexing her arch, she pointedly extended her foot towards Shen Mochen. The pale skin of her foot, with its veins just visible beneath, seed like a delicate piece of art, emitting a soft white glow in the sunlight.
Shen Mochen looked at her foot, watching the blood slowly ooze from the wound. A droplet of blood slid down the arch, like a lone red plum blossom amidst the white snow.
His mind was in chaos, and he found himself involuntarily grasping Liu Chaoyan's foot and gently kissing the wound, tenderly licking away the blood.
It seed a bit ticklish, and Liu Chaoyan covered her mouth, giggling.
"Little beggar, does it taste good?" Liu Chaoyan looked at Shen Mochen contentedly as he held her foot, "Is it better than a donut?"
"Don't misunderstand, it's just a fair exchange; you keep my secret, and in the future, I will maintain your superpower."
Shen Mochen carefully set down her foot as if it were fragile antique porcelain.
"Then I'll have to trouble you in the future."
Liu Chaoyan didn't argue childishly with him but bent down to caress Shen Mochen's cheek, "However, there's one more thing I need your cooperation with…"
Shen Mochen looked down, avoiding her gaze: "…I will help you maintain your perfect image."
"I want you to handle things properly with Han Muxue, you're not allowed to sleep with her," Liu Chaoyan stated, word by word.
Shen Mochen was stunned for a mont, then looked up in confusion.
"It seems you still haven't grasped your position," Liu Chaoyan caressed Shen Mochen's face with her hand, her breath fragrant as orchids, "From today on, I am your master, and you must not lust after any woman other than your master, understand?"
"If I find out you've lusted after another woman, you know what the consequences will be," Liu Chaoyan said with a slight smile, her tone indulgent, "Naughty children need to be properly disciplined by their master."
"Even if you didn't say it, I wouldn't plan on doing that anyway!"
Shen Mochen turned his face away, showing his last bit of defiance.
"Good boy, I'll head back first then, you tidy up your room yourself."
Liu Chaoyan glanced around, Shen Mochen's room was in utter disarray due to his powers having been blown about.
"Oh right, I permit you to restore Cai Yuncui and Xia Qingrou's superpowers, of course, only to restore their superpowers... I really am a magnanimous master," Liu Chaoyan said as she left Shen Mochen's room, gently closing the door.
Shen Mochen sat on the ground, dazed for a long ti. It felt like everything that had just happened was just a dream.
It was just a dream, wasn't it? How could Liu Chaoyan be that kind of person? Yes, yes, yes, I must have been dreaming, she should be as pure and lovely as a white lotus!
