"Everyone, please keep your voices down," Catherine spoke out. "Otherwise, it'll affect the ga experience of other guests."

The group of girls turned their heads to see a foreign beauty standing calmly before them.

"So it's Miss Alexandrova..." Quite a few of them recognized her and gave her a smile, trying to save face, "Sorry, we'll be quieter."

Catherine looked at Shen Mochen, "What I ant is, having so many people gathered around one board ga disrupts the normal order of the store. If possible, I hope everyone can spread out a bit. I understand everyone's love for student Shen Mochen, but please show him more respect and don't crowd so close."

With that said, everyone understood Catherine was here on soone's behalf. The grand-sounding reasons given before were re pretexts, and it seed their hogging of Shen Mochen had triggered her dissatisfaction.

"But custors have the right to choose their waiters, don't they?" soone argued.

Catherine frowned, "That's true, but you're affecting others..."

"My apologies, everyone, it seems my girlfriend is a bit upset," Shen Mochen said with a smile as he ca over and took Catherine's hand, giving a wink, "I'll take my leave then. My classmates will continue to serve you all."

After he spoke, he bowed slightly and led Catherine to a corner.

"Sorry, it wasn't intentional. Are you angry?"

"I'm not angry. It's just that it really did disrupt the order in the classroom. Besides, these people aren't worth getting upset over."

Catherine said lightly, shaking her ponytail.

Shen Mochen nodded, "Then I'll go attend to the other custors. I'll make sure they stay rational and don't cause trouble for the store."

"That's good."

Catherine pursed her lips and smiled, watching Shen Mochen walk toward a table of male guests.

Shen Mochen had arrived quite late, so the morning ended quickly.

"Shall we go for lunch together?" Shen Mochen asked as he watched the last group of custors leave.

"Whatever," Catherine beside him said.

"Let's go then..."

Shen Mochen stretched lazily; he had taken so cold dicine in the morning for various reasons and was starving.

After eating lunch, the two strolled around the school. The roadside vegetation basked in the spring sunlight, lush and dripping with green vitality. The gentle fragrance of flowers drifted through the air, mingling with the occasional chirping of birds.

Catherine looked over at the sparkling lake, "You didn't have lunch with Teacher Cai and the others."

Shen Mochen frowned and explained, "It's not necessary to always eat with them. Besides, they're all girls; it wouldn't look right for to be there alone. Better to stay away from situations that could be misconstrued."

"So that's why you ca to find ."

"Hey, hey, hey, you make it sound like you're just a replacent, are you trying to make feel guilty?"

"Do you even have that kind of thing?"

"What you're saying—it's not like I don't have a conscience...okay, maybe it's not a lot, but I still have so!"

Catherine chuckled lightly, her eyes shaping into crescent moons. She had read Shen Mochen's life files and knew him well enough to be ranked in the top five.

"Do you owe Liu Chaoyan a lot of money?" Catherine poked Shen Mochen's arm.

"How could that be, there's no chance I could owe her money!"

"Oh, I thought she had given you money when you were a child begging on the streets."

Damn, you're too scary. How could you even guess that? Shen Mochen thought to himself.

"I didn't really beg for food when I was young; you're thinking too much. If I could steal sothing, I stole it. If I couldn't steal, I picked through trash. Begging for food wasn't so easy either—each street had its boss. If you tried to beg for food casually, you'd get beaten up by the other beggars. After all, it was like stealing their business," Shen Mochen said with a smile.

"Have you been beaten up?"

"Of course, I have. How else would I know about it? They dragged into an alley and gave a good thrashing, even took all the money I had begged for. I was probably around eight or nine years old then."

"I never realized there was such a thod to begging. I've learned sothing new," Catherine remarked.

"You see, you've learned sothing. There's a social order among people, and even among rats. There's a thod to everything in this world. Let tell you, even dumpster diving has its thods... Oh, you're probably not interested in this stuff. You don't need to know it anymore."

"I really don't need that knowledge, but it's okay for you to tell about it. Think of it as a way to kill ti."

Catherine quickened her pace, sat down on a bench by the lake, and patted the seat beside her, inviting Shen Mochen to join her.

The afternoon breeze was gentle, and the willows by the lake swayed gracefully. Catherine's blue eyes were even clearer than the lake water before them.

Shen Mochen nodded with a smile and walked over.

He wasn't good at telling stories, but Catherine was an excellent listener. She usually didn't interrupt, but she would ask her own questions at crucial monts and then guide Shen Mochen to fill in the rest of the story.

She wasn't really interested in a slum survival guide, but she was interested in Shen Mochen.

That's just how people are. When you are interested in soone, you want to know everything about them, no matter how trivial or boring it may seem. It always feels exciting.

"I'm going to use the restroom. Wait for ."

After listening to Shen Mochen's dumpster diving insights, Catherine stood up and patted his shoulder.

"Sure, I'll wait. Take your ti; no rush."

Shen Mochen didn't really care. After talking for a good while, a break was also nice.

But as he was enjoying the afternoon sun with his eyes half-closed, a commotion suddenly erupted from afar. Shen Mochen opened his eyes and saw two girls using their phones to take a flurry of pictures on the school grounds, muttering to themselves as if they were planning to make videos.

A crowd had gathered around them but didn't purposely get close to disturb them. People occasionally went up to take photos with them and then conscientiously left. Most of the onlookers quietly chatted amongst themselves, and Liu Bo was among them.

"Fei Yumo..." Shen Mochen recognized one of them, a mber of the currently nationwide famous Nuclear Girls, and the person Liu Bo had pleaded with Shen Mochen to befriend.

Actually, Shen Mochen really didn't want to do this, but Liu Bo was still his friend, and standing right there. It wouldn't be nice to completely ignore him.

He looked around to make sure Catherine was indeed not there and got up, walking over.

"Hey there, are you shooting a vlog?" Shen Mochen asked lazily.

The two girls were montarily dazzled by Shen Mochen. Despite having seen so many handso guys in the entertainnt industry, none had made such an impression.

Fei Yumo responded with a smile, "Hello, do you need sothing?"

"Hello, you're Fei Yumo, right? Could I add you as a friend?"

Shen Mochen casually took out his phone.

"Huh?"

Fei Yumo was taken aback. She was a bit slow to react—wasn't that too direct?
