"Mochen, Mochen, are you ho?"
Around nine o'clock, Yuncui knocked on Shen Mochen's front door.
"Caiyu," Shen Mochen greeted as he opened the door for her.
"Have you had dinner yet?" Yuncui asked.
"Yeah, I did," Shen Mochen said.
"What did you eat?"
"Uh... ate out at a restaurant."
Yuncui walked into Shen Mochen's house, sniffed around, and found Shen Mochen's yet-to-be-washed dishes, with soup residue of instant noodles remaining.
"I knew you didn't have a proper al!" Yuncui said with an I-told-you-so expression, lightly twisted Shen Mochen's ear, and huffed, "I'll have you know, I have a really good nose!"
Ah yeah, yeah, yeah, you even said you could sll the loser scent on from miles away last ti.
Am I a loser? That's harsh!
But faced with incontrovertible evidence, Shen Mochen sheepishly smiled. Well, Yuncui might be too kind, but she was no fool!
"Heh heh, look what I brought for you?" Seeing Shen Mochen was out of excuses, Yuncui lifted the take-out container she was holding.
"Caiyu, you thought of even when you went out for sothing delicious," Shen Mochen laughed as he took it.
"Yeah, I guessed you would laze out and eat instant noodles if I wasn't around, so I specifically ordered an extra steak to take away!"
Yuncui humd proudly, feeling quite smug about how well she handled her "little brother."
"Who paid for it?" Shen Mochen opened the container, finding the steak still warm.
"Why are you asking that, you don't need to pay..." Yuncui said as she gently patted Shen Mochen's shoulder, "Today, it was Zhao Yuji's treat. Plus, he knew I was bringing you food and even specially picked the most expensive steak for you!"
The al was on Zhao Yuji's di, which was... aweso! Shen Mochen thought as he ate.
Just thinking about how Zhao Yuji, despite despising him, had to pretend to be generous and pay for his dinner, made the steak taste even sweeter in his mouth!
"Caiyu, next ti Zhao Yuji treats, rember to order more; it's not like he's short on cash!" Shen Mochen said.
"Umm... why, why would you say that?"
"Because I don't like him!"
"Why don't you like him, isn't he quite a good guy?"
Shen Mochen couldn't be bothered to explain, his mouth full of steak, "You can say I'm jealous of him. He's got power and looks, and his fiancée is so beautiful!"
This steak really tastes great. Yin Caiyu had also taken him to fancy restaurants for steak before, but it didn't taste as good as this ti.

Shen Mochen was too honest, and Yuncui didn't know how to respond for a mont.
"…Okay, I'm just kidding."
The steak was devoured quickly, and Shen Mochen wiped his mouth, "Actually, I say this because this Zhao Yuji isn't a good guy, at least he's pretty scheming."
Yuncui frowned slightly, "I think he's okay though, he's a very polite person, why would you think that of him?"
"He didn't say he doesn't want others to know about his engagent right now, and even if Liu Chaoyan ca today, he wouldn't want to make it public?"

Yuncui was stunned, feeling like Shen Mochen had a negative impression of Zhao Yuji, his words seemingly tinged with personal grudges. Moreover, after spending ti together, Yuncui believed that Shen Mochen was not the type to be small-minded.
"Isn't that a bit biased of you, were you close to him before?"

Yuncui was shocked at his words, "He likes Catherine?"
The statent was too shocking for her, after all, he was Liu Chaoyan's fiancé!

He initially didn't want to expose Zhao Yuji's facade in front of Yuncui, but ever since he found out Chaoyan was that little girl, his annoyance towards Zhao Yuji had grown. Hence, speaking ill of Zhao Yuji in front of Yuncui also had an elent of revenge.
Yuncui and Liu Chaoyan were best friends, and Shen Mochen hoped she would speak more about this in front of Liu Chaoyan. However, he also considered that Yuncui might argue on Zhao Yuji's behalf, yet hadn't expected it to go so smoothly.
Damn, he felt like he had beco the villain.
"Right, what's her na again, that comrade of yours..." Shen Mochen scratched his head.
"Do you an Chaoyan?" Yuncui said.
"Ah yes, Liu Chaoyan, if you hadn't told , I'd have forgotten her na. Isn't she staying over with you tonight?"
"She's staying at a hotel and didn't co over."
At this, Shen Mochen felt a vague disappointnt in his heart, but then felt sowhat relieved, after all, he wouldn't have to face her.
Concealing the complexity in his heart, he laughed and said, "Haha, does she look down on our place?"
Yuncui imdiately shook her head to defend her best friend, "Not at all, the place we're stationed isn't that different from here. But the hotel was arranged by the school, and she always handles her affairs by the book!"
