Watching the suited thugs drive away in luxury cars, a few people gingerly went over to help their companion up.

One person still shaken, patted his chest:

"A-Shuai, who on earth did you offend? That guy was so vicious."

"Idiot, haven't you figured it out yet? The woman we saw at the parking lot today is the boss's woman!"

One of them looked towards the direction the luxury car had left, and exclaid in belated realization:

"Damn...I think I've seen that car drive out from the Qi Corporation headquarters."

"Qi Corporation? You an that Qi Corporation?"

"Oh my god, the woman at the parking lot was Mrs. Qi, the president's wife?"

"Too scary, too scary."

...

Inside the white Porsche, the phone rang.

Qi Mo answered the call and brought the receiver to his ear.

"President Qi, as you instructed, I've had a good chat with that kid. He promised not to do this kind of thing again."

Qi Mo said lightly: "Mm."

Seeing Qi Mo hang up, Sheng Mumu glanced at him.

She didn't know if it was her imagination, but the cold and overbearing aura around the man seed to have softened sowhat.

His eyebrows were lightly knitted, the sharp angle of his jaw was right before her eyes. Sheng Mumu couldn't help but narrow her eyes, appreciating it up close.

From the side view, his sexy Adam's apple protruded even more prominently.

The shirt buttons were sohow undone by one, faintly revealing his collarbone.

The light and shadows coming in through the window shone onto his deep and brooding eyes, making them look like a tranquil pool of water.

The hand that was holding the steering wheel had long, slender fingers with slightly bent knuckles, beautiful to look at.

Sensing Sheng Mumu looking at him, Qi Mo suddenly turned his head sideways.

"What are you looking at?"

Sheng Mumu was not flustered at being caught, and blurted out: "Looking for sothing."

Qi Mo raised an eyebrow: "Oh?"

Sheng Mumu scanned his face seriously: "Looking for the needle marks from embalming fluid injections on your face."

Hearing this, the man chuckled lowly, as if a thought suddenly occurred to him. He looked aningfully at Sheng Mumu's hesitant eyes and added:

"I heard from Assistant Dong that you asked him to get stomach dicine for ?"

Sheng Mumu paused slightly as she recalled this.

"Yes."

At the ti, after her phone call with Assistant Dong, in order to keep up the virtuous wife act in front of others, she had casually ntioned it.

Thinking that a stomach condition was standard for a domineering president, she felt it was quite fitting to say that.

The man slowed his tone, raising his eyebrows: "How co I don't know that I have a stomach condition?"

Sheng Mumu: "..."

In her heart she thought: Whether you actually have it or not doesn't matter, as long as I can keep up the act.

But what ca out of her mouth was: "You work so hard every day, your als must be irregular. Better safe than sorry."

Her years of experience climbing the career ladder in her previous life told her that a bit of sweet talk goes a long way in maintaining good relationships between superiors and subordinates.

The man seed quite pleased. She saw the corners of his lips curl up imperceptibly.

Then his deep and brooding eyes like a secluded pool lingered on her face for a few seconds, and his voice gently said:

"The group's newly built holiday resort in Shen City is ready, are you interested in going to take a look?"

As soon as Sheng Mumu heard this, her eyes lit up brightly:

"Holiday resort? A five-star one?"

Qi Mo: "Not five-star."

Sheng Mumu was just about to say "That's fine too", when she heard Qi Mo's casual voice.

"Six stars."

Sheng Mumu: ...

The traffic light in front turned red, and he fully turned his head to look at Sheng Mumu's hesitant eyes, and added:

"A staff welfare benefit from the group."

Sheng Mumu tilted her head: "As the boss, you also get staff benefits?"

Qi Mo: "Of course."

Sheng Mumu smiled and nodded: "Let's go then. Since it's a benefit, it would be a waste not to go. We can bring Little Qi along too, this is his last sumr break before senior year of high school."

A soft spot in Qi Mo's heart was stirred by a trace of ineffable emotion. He nodded lightly:

"Alright, you can go let him know."

Sheng Mumu gave an OK gesture:

"Got it."

For the rest of the drive back, Sheng Mumu didn't look at her phone again. She asked Qi Mo what attractions and activities were available at the holiday resort.

Only after getting back to the villa did she see that Su Tingran had sent her several ssages.

"Su Tingran: Hahahaha, are young people these days all so outrageous?"

"Su Tingran: Both illiterate and shaless, I really worry for the young girls these days."

"Su Tingran: Your President Qi must have been furious knowing you were given a slip of paper with a pick-up line by a guy in his twenties right? Can't imagine what he looks like when jealous."

"Su Tingran: He definitely can't take it."

Seeing the screen, Sheng Mumu's lips curled up. She replied: "He didn't dare."

"Su Tingran: ..."

7:30 in the morning.

The person sleeping soundly felt the bedsheets by her feet being pulled up by soone.

The curtain blocked out the morning light, and dim lighting coming in from the walk-in closet direction faintly illuminated the spacious master bedroom, outlining the silhouettes of a man and a woman.

Oblivious, the person on the bed let out a murmur as her long lashes fluttered lightly with each breath, then turned over.

The man standing at the foot of the bed had a trace of helplessness appear in his deep, brooding eyes. He slowly buttoned up the expensive watch on his wrist.

At so point, Qi Mo had gotten used to pulling up the bedsheets that Sheng Mumu would surely have kicked off the bed every morning when he got up.

He soundlessly shut the door and went to work after washing up and getting ready.

Sheng Mumu also didn't sleep for much longer, getting up around an hour after the man had left.

She went to Yuji Flower Shop to handle the day's work.

Just after arriving in this world, she was content to eat, sleep and play every day.

But over ti, she started to feel a sense of emptiness instead.

The flower shop's business was getting better and better, and her sense of living in this realistic world grew stronger.

Arriving at Yuji Flower Shop, the four employees had already orderly begun work.

The delivery service for flowers was handed over to a courier company, so the shop assistants were quite free, tending to the flowers and plants and rchandise in the store.

Based on past experience, it would only be in the afternoon that custors who had heard of their fa online would co to the store.

Sheng Mumu took advantage of the free morning to personally bake so cranberry cookies in the small kitchen at the back. She instructed the staff to give them to custors who ca in for afternoon tea in the store.

Leaving the flower shop in the evening, she happened to run into Qi Shaobai who was about to head out.

Sheng Mumu called out to him.

"Little Qi."

The reticent boy turned around, raising his eyebrows to indicate a questioning "Hmm?"

"Your dad's company just completed building a new holiday resort. Let's go spend a few days there as a family to relax before your last sumr break in high school."

Qi Shaobai was taken aback for a mont.

In his mory, his father had always been very busy with work and had never gone on vacation trips with him before.

Sheng Mumu: "What do you think? Want to go?"

Qi Shaobai collected himself, and lazily drawled:

"What's fun about a holiday resort."

Sheng Mumu: "Oh, if you're not interested then forget it."

She hadn't expected this young master to be very enthusiastic about a holiday resort anyway. Not one to force others, she was about to turn away when she heard Qi Shaobai's clear yet indifferent voice again:

"When do we leave?"
