In the dimly lit passageway, Lu Xuan walked slowly.

Arriving at a cave, as instructed by the old fox, he used his spiritual power to deactivate the cave's protective seal. A ferocious demon beast lunged fiercely only to be pulled back into the depths of the cave by the rune chains binding its body.

By now, he had grown accustod to the superficial ferocity and underlying frailty of these creatures, entering the cave with a calm deanor.

Every ferocious beast held captive within the forbidden area was not only restrained by the formation outside its cave but also bound by various artifacts on its body that sealed its demonic powers and restricted its movents, leaving it with barely a third of its strength. Lu Xuan could easily handle them.

"Behave, let draw so blood."

Inside the cave was a giant snake, pitch-black all over with a pair of heads, staring nacingly at Lu Xuan.

Seeing the specialized blood-drawing artifact in his hand, the colossal creature couldn't help but shiver, obediently lying down.

The sharp instrunt easily pierced through its dark scales, and a fountain of blood surged out, quickly filling the device.

After drawing the blood, Lu Xuan took out a bottle containing a strange solvent from his storage bag.

This was a special solvent given to him by the old fox, capable of blending various demon beast blood and purifying them.

The snake's blood was a dark red, extrely toxic, inducing a dizzying sensation upon inhalation.

Pouring it into the strange solvent, the dark red blood reacted violently, darkening in color as if to suck in Lu Xuan's consciousness.

He secured the treated demon snake blood and proceeded to another cave as instructed by the old fox.

Disabling the seal, he was t with the sight of a toad as big as a grinding plate.

The toad's skin was iridescent, clearly highly toxic, with poisonous fus billowing with each breath.

It looked at the blood-drawing device in Lu Xuan's hand with eyes full of resentnt but made no move.

"Don't look at like that; it makes nervous," Lu Xuan said to the demon toad, forcing a smile.

With a push of his wrist, the syringe-like device easily penetrated the toad's thick skin.

Upon feeling pain, the giant toad involuntarily shuddered violently.

"Sorry, wrong spot, let's try that again."

He withdrew the device, choosing another spot before plunging it fiercely into the toad's body.

The pain intensified for the demon toad.

Still, no blood erged from the device.

"A bit rusty, a few more tries should do it," Lu Xuan said sowhat sheepishly, repeatedly inserting and withdrawing the specialized device until finally extracting a vial of iridescent demon beast essence blood.

"Rember not to look at like that next ti; it makes really nervous," he joked with the demon toad.

After the iridescent blood was treated with the special solvent, it transford into another type of solution.

Within the solution floated clusters of iridescent orbs, concentrated to the extre, like scattered stars.

He held his breath, pouring the dark essence blood extracted from the snake into the container.

Instantaneously, it triggered a violent reaction.

Upon contact with the dark essence blood, the iridescent orbs exploded like fireworks, leaving clusters of iridescent fluff.

"Failed," Lu Xuan noted the reaction between the two types of purified essence blood in his journal, murmuring in reflection.

As for the failed mixture of essence blood, he casually stored it in the Gluttonous Insect Pouch.

"It'll be just right to feed to the Blood Woe Flower. It's an aberrant spiritual plant, after all. This mixed essence blood might just be a great nourishnt for it."

Lu Xuan unapologetically stored the mixed essence blood in the pouch.

He had been assisting the Qingqiu Fox Demon in conducting experints on ferocious beasts for so ti now.

During this period, his daily tasks were simple, initially observing the breeding conditions of the demon beasts and finding ways to sustain their mating.

Gradually becoming more accustod and trusted by the old fox, he began extracting essence blood from demon and ferocious beasts, treating it with a special solvent to see if the selected demon beast essence blood could produce a positive reaction.

However, each experint ended in failure. Lu Xuan didn't dispose of the failed specins but kept them in the Gluttonous Insect Pouch, planning to feed them to the Blood Woe Flower, Blood Spirit Palm Ginseng, and other underworld spiritual plants.

Through the experints, he witnessed the diversity of demon beast essence blood.

The essence blood of various colors and properties vastly differed, enhancing his understanding of the demon beasts in the world.

As he diligently continued his blood-drawing tasks day after day, the Qingqiu Fox Demon increased his workload.

"There's more for you to do in the future," it told Lu Xuan, its voice sounding ever more aged and feeble.

"Please tell , Senior," Lu Xuan, now accustod to their interaction, responded respectfully.

"As you're aware, there are many special state ferocious and demonic beasts in the forbidden area, created from transplanting and suturing limbs, trunks, and heads of different ferocious beasts."

"What I need you to do is simple: care for these sutured ferocious beasts, ticulously record their conditions, and contact imdiately if anything abnormal occurs."

After speaking, the old fox handed Lu Xuan a dark green talisman, seemingly made from its own fur, which felt like soft, fine skin to the touch.

"I understand, Senior," Lu Xuan nodded.

Following the old fox's directions, he went to the bottom of the pit to find those special demon beasts with transplanted organs or bodies.

Entering the cave, he was greeted by a many-tentacled octopus, lying on the ground like a pile of mud, each tentacle's tip transplanted with a demon beast's eye, with pus oozing from most of the suture sites.

Lu Xuan placed a pile of water-attribute demon beasts in front of the multi-eyed octopus.

The octopus weakly lifted a tentacle, opened an eye at the tip, and drew a spirit fish over a half zhang long into its mouth.

After consuming one fish, it closed its eyes, showing no interest in the remaining demon beast flesh.

"Sothing's off with its condition," Lu Xuan noted, sensing trouble and focusing his spiritual consciousness on the octopus.

Instantly, a thought surfaced in his mind.

【Unknown demon beast, fourth-grade, Black Breath Giant Octopus fused with Thousand-Eyed Demon Eyes, undergoing unknown changes within.】

【Due to spiritual power rejection, its vitality is weak, nearing extinction.】

"I didn't expect to be able to see the detailed condition of the sutured ferocious beasts," Lu Xuan initially rejoiced, then realized the potency of his unique ability.

"Pity, you're just a failed experint."

"No hope left, await death."

He glanced at the listless octopus lying on the cave floor, rendering its death sentence and jotting down his judgnt.

"With this ability, the experintally modified ferocious beasts within the forbidden area will have no secrets from . Life or death, how to save them, I can see it all at a glance, born for this kind of experintation."
