At this mont, they were entering the lands of the current Duke of Halstead, one of the many places where Susie’s family had conducted their business.

Like any duke of the modern era, the dukes Susie worked with owned vast territories, forgotten by those investigating drugs. This made them the perfect places to hide an underground cannabis greenhouse.

Dante had copied this idea—or rather rented it—and instead of dukes, he used ranchers who, to outsiders, only appeared to be cattle farrs.

"Is that man unstable? I don’t want to entrust my secrets to a large circle of people." While driving, Dante asked this question to Susie, who had remained silent until now.

"That man is Eddie Horniman, an army officer who returned ho to England while his father, the Duke of Halstead, lies on his deathbed." Susie held her head and murmured, "The duke is dying, and Eddie unexpectedly inherits the duchy and family estate per his father’s wishes, bypassing his irresponsible older brother, Freddy."

"After taking on his new role, Eddie learns that Freddy owes a debt of 8 million pounds to Tommy Dixon, a ruthless Scouse drug dealer I recomnded you avoid at all costs."

Susie paused, closing her eyes slightly, and murmured, "I have many ways to harm him, and as far as I understand, he wants to distance himself from this business."

"But for now, he’s hosting your brother, who’s preparing for that championship fight." Dante began to understand this man—or rather, this duke—a little better.

"It’s the best place for him to train." Susie didn’t have many thoughts about this, so when she got out of the truck, she headed toward the area where her brother usually stayed.

Dante, who was surveying the surroundings, made a call. "Have you found anything?"

"Boss, we know soone wants to kill you. We’ve traced the source, but it all ends in job acceptances. We’ve questioned the High Table, but our voice is too small for them."

"Then let them co, all of them. Prepare the imdiate response team. If they want to kill , they’ll need the power to do it." Dante wasn’t worried about his family because they were protected. What mattered now was his own safety.

This was evidently related to Felipe Lobos. The Lobos Cartel had many enemies, one of them being the Jiménez Cartel, which needed to be carefully investigated to determine if the attack originated from them.

But considering he was in London, there was also the possibility that Stanley wanted him out of the picture for potentially aiding Susie Glass.

If Dante had the power to investigate, why wouldn’t soone else?

No matter how many tis he tried to conceal who he was, sooner or later, it would be discovered. What mattered now was maintaining his status in front of others.

...

"Are you still training?" Susie Glass approached her brother Jack, who was still punching a boxing bag.

Jack, who didn’t need to turn around to know it was his sister, kept hitting the bag and said, "I need to push myself harder. This is my way out of illegal fights."

"Yes, you should do that."

"Hey, Jack, who’s that man with your sister? He seems like a real mafia boss. He has that aura of mystery I think I’ve sensed in other people." Freddy Halstead, Eddie’s older brother and the forr heir to the estate, looked at Dante in the distance as he made a call.

He knew what was hidden on his family’s land, so having a stranger nearby ant they had to ensure he was trustworthy.

Jack, who had stopped punching the bag, looked in the direction Freddy was pointing with urgency. "Who’s that, sis?"

"His na is Dante Dutton, our biggest client in Europe and the one we export the largest quantities of our product to." Susie looked at Dante and answered naturally, then added, "Considering you’re taking your first leap into legal fights, I invited our best partner to et you and for you to et him."

"Is he a mafia boss?" Freddy was crafting his own fictional story while watching the siblings.

Jack, annoyed, looked at Dante and asked, "Did you sleep with him?"

"Why do I have to tell you about my sex life? I’ve never questioned who you sleep with as long as it’s not a stupid choice, so the least you could do is respect ." Susie didn’t like the way her brother had expressed himself.

Freddy, who seed to be high, whispered, "I’d take that as a yes."

"Screw this." Jack wasn’t going to let anyone take his younger sister so easily, which was why he was so angry.

For the Glass family, Susie was an angel—a high-class woman who wasn’t ant to associate with just any drug lord they supplied.

"For God’s sake..." Susie covered her face with her hands and waited.

"Wait, aren’t you going to stop him?" Freddy was startled by Susie’s reaction. She was the smartest among them, so seeing her indifferent was frightening.

"Yes, I’ll stay out of it."

"What’s going on?" Eddie approached from a distance and asked upon seeing Jack so upset.

Freddy looked at his brother and said, "You won’t believe this, little brother, but Susie’s boyfriend is a damn foreign mafia boss."

"What?"

"Don’t listen to him. He’s way too high." Susie dismissed Freddy’s comnt as she followed Jack, who could cause a huge ss.
